Summary: Passed April 11!
Review: Very well written. The book is very accurate on what is on the exam. Good study habits and this book will get you a pass. Great book!

Summary: Excellent Book!
Review: Well thought out! Documentation compared to CompTIA's Domains for the test is flawless. Alot of great material in less pages than any other book out there. CD is basic but has 2 tests on it that will help if you have had no security experience at all. Well worth your time and money. I used it to pass on the first attempt.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good for the experienced
Review: While Mike Meyer's Security+ Passport was good overall I can not recommend it to anyone that doesn't have some experience in the InfoSec field. While it gives the basic information necessary to possibly pass the exam it doesn't go into much depth of the material presented.

For beginners in security, Robert Shimonski's Security+ Study Guide and DVD Training System is a much better option, albeit a much more [spendier] one.

Even though I've passed the Security+ Beta exam I am a trainer/instructor in IT security.
