Review: I found online tutorials so much more usefull. This book is like a huge university theory course. There aren't any constructive tutorials/projects in this book that has led me anywhere.
I am very dissapointed!

Summary: Mistakes and unclear from the first chapter
Review: I find many software books to be weak, however, Flash 5 Bible is by far the worst. It is written as though it were translated from a foreign language by a very poor translator. Very wordy, mistakes, information ommited. Just your money, frustration, and time. Look for another book. I am putting this book where it belongs: In the garbage. The book by Rober Reinhardt and Jon Warren Lentz, Flash 4 bible , may have been a bestseller but that does not indicate anything. Just good marketing. Danielle Steele books sell, too.

Review: The Flash 5 Bible is a breakthrough in an informative tutorial - starting with the basics for a beginer and ending with complex scripting and advanced features of Flash 5. This book has helped me significantly from a point in time when I had no clue what frames were. The Flash 5 Bible would also be a great gift for someone who's learning Flash. The book also comes with a CD ROM jam packed with macromedia trials, templates and flash movies discused in the book and much more.

Review: This is the best book ever written on Flash 5. I am **extremely** grateful for the information...I have learned so much about Flash 5 and just cannot say enough positive things about this book. It sits on my desk right next to me at all times. Summary: This book covers quite a bit.
Review: As someone who bought this book without a clue how to design with Flash, I can that beginners should not be afraid of it's bulky size. Although the Bible crew might have been better to publish two smaller and cheaper sections it is possible to skim through this book and find specifics you might need. I found that the initial tutorial at the beginning of the book helps a lot and introduces the fundamentals of what Flash is all about. As the book progressed I found myself being able to skip past sections that were not necessarily important to me at that particular time. For example, when I got started with Flash I wanted to get my 'hands dirty' and skip the baby stuff, skip the 'adding sound' section and basically figure out how to animate and create cool web designs. The book allows you to do this and more.If you are wondering about which book to get this is the one. It is easy to understand and yet has the more advanced action scripting and gaming sections later on in the book. If you know this book inside out and how to apply it's concepts, you can pretty much do anything with Flash.

Review: It's the best I've ever seen in Flash 5 series. Get it if you have some basic knowledge of webdesign and Flash and you will be a pro in a week time. Professinals can use it as a reference which covers almost any feature of Flash animation. If you hate books with 50% junk (which describe you in two pages how to save a file!!) this book will save you time and headache!

Summary: Good Or Bad - I think is GOOD!
Review: Well, I have just bought this book. When I saw other's review, I was quite shock despite the fact that I haven't opened the book yet. However, as an experienced person in this stream, I am quite satisfied of the contents. I say it's a MUST for all beginners and experts. it's a good reference book although I agree that there are some mistakes done. But, Keep this in mind, everyone makes mistakes. In terms of price wise, I recommend this book as it is a great BARGAIN! If you know any other beter books, TELL ME! I sure did be greatfull if you share your opinions with me. SO, OVERALL, I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS BOOK. IT'S PRICE IS REASONABLE AND I RATE ITS CONTENTS AS 10/10.
