Rating: Summary: Outstanding HTML Book Review: This book is an excellent tutorial for those wishing to learn how to create their own webpages. The book is easy to read and understand and makes learning HTML fun.
Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC!!!!! Review: Joe Burns' website is where I learned HTML. I was just starting out in computers & tired of reading material full of Computer Nerd talk, that made no sense to me.His website & now, this book, can teach anyone how to make a website. Forget all those reviews & the hype about other books. Joe teaches using common sense and examples that get the idea across! Most computer books leave you with more qquestions than answers... not Joe's book. If you have trouble understanding how to make a webpage, don't give up!! Buy this book, visit Joe's HTML Goodies pages & you will have a website in no time. I just wish Joe would write a basic computer book for those of us that need it!! CJ
Rating: Summary: Great for beginners and veterans Review: I first found out about the HTML goodies web site by fooling around during internet class in school and wrote down the url immediately. when I found Joe B. wrote a book, I set out to find it and it was GREAT! everything from the website, with an easier-to-find interface! I think anybody building a webpage should check out this book or go to www.htmlgoodies.com.
Rating: Summary: No Jive Review: Let's set the record straight: I am in no way affiliated with the author or publisher of this book (nor do I believe that any of the other reviewers are). Rather, I'm an HTML educator who thinks this is an excellent reference guide for those learning HTML from the beginning or those who simply want to learn more. It's funny and very informative. Yes, it's true. A book can actually get five star reviews here without there being an agenda behind it.
Rating: Summary: Great Book, Excellent Price Review: This book is great for learning HTML. It was straightforward and easy to follow. Best of all is the price. I'm sick of $40.00-$50.00 books that don't deliver. It's rare to find such a good resource at a reasonable price. If you want to learn HTML and save money, purchasing this book is a sound investment.
Rating: Summary: Joe Burns is an Excellent Author Review: Joe Burns is the best author of computer related books. I have other books on HTML, C++, Perl, and other such programming languages, and none of the authors even come close to having as good a writing style as Joe Burns does. The reader from Honest Town shouldn't pity "The Author" for trying to boost sales, he obviously didn't. These are actual reviews from people who agree with me, and think that Joe Burns is an excellent writer. The pity shouldn't be on us, it should be on the reader from Honest Town, for being ignorant.
Rating: Summary: I bet you don't even have the book. Review: So what you just go around and see a good book with a ton of good reviews and try to make it look bad? Those are all real people and this book is great I am surprised there are not more 5 star reviews on here. This is a great book.
Rating: Summary: 20 5 stars? gimme a break Review: obviously the author of this book or someone has gone a little overboard and given this book a lot of stars to booost sales. pity on you.
Rating: Summary: If I could, I'd give it 10 stars! Review: I've read several books on HTML, and this is by far the best. Easy to understand, and fun to read. As soon as I started reading, I couldn't put it down! This book is great for beginners. It even has primers to prepare you for the more indepth sections.
