Rating: Summary: Good Overall Review Book Review: used this book along with the cramsession pdf and as many online sample test as possible to study for the i-Net+ cert.only found one typo in the book and its on the review sheet at the front of the book. the Class A subnet mask lists 116K instead of 16 million. the questions at the end of the book are much simpler than the actual test questions. however, you'll get a good idea of the topics to be covered on the test from the book. actually the book covers more topics than the test itself. you'll find a few semi-verbatim questions on the actual test that the book has simply paraphrased, but that's about it for question similarities. i'd say this book will help you pass, but don't think it should be your only source for the cert. good luck.
Rating: Summary: Expose yourself to Internet Technology Review: Wheather you are persuing i-Net+ Certification or not, this book will let you know most of terminologies that you've heard but can't comprehend. It is essential book to have for any internet users. These book covers most of basic techonologies that is used on the internet. You probably have experience with internet quite some time and probably know more than www & FTP. As i-Net+ certification doesn't require in-depth knowledge on each technology, this book covers as many areas as possible in very organized manner. Again like any other cram series book, it's hard find typos or mistakes in these book. Save yourself some time, and get your i-Net+ certification next week. Additional Comments on Aug, 27th, 2001: I recently heard one of my friend who's also MCSE saying that "I admire people with i-Net+ Certification". I laughed in my mind and came back home. Right after I got home I really had to open up this book again and think "How come this test was soooo easy for me?" 392 Pages long, hmmmm... NOT BAD! MCSE,CCNA,CNA,A+,i-Net+,Network+
Rating: Summary: Good for me.... Review: When the contents of this book are read an memorized it is a certain guarantee for suc6. Spot on the money, but please realize everything is on the exam, and you cannot NOT memorize all of it and hope to get away with it on the exam. (a friend of mine failed that way). I only missed the stuff on CORBA in this little book, but passed easily.
Rating: Summary: Passed With No Problem! Review: With the use of this book as my only real means of study, I successfully passed the i-Net+ exam on the first try. I read this book from front to back, and took the practice exam at the end. I did notice that a lot of my test questions I had seen in this book's practice exam. If you aren't that proficient in this subject area, I would match this book up with the i-Net+ Study Guide (this book's match). Good Luck!
