Review: Excellent, economic easy wqy of making & preparing everyday meals, snacks and even elaborate desserts from mixes you make yourself. You know exactly what your family is eating. Its quick, and saves money and time in the kitchen. This book is a must have - especialy for moms with young children!

Summary: Making a busy Mom's life easier
Review: I am a homeschooling Mother of three. I can and freeze as much as I can but have still found myself relying on prepared meals for the quickness of them. My mother had bought this book in 1979 for 5$...she has graciously handed it down to me. I have been able to cut time in the kitchen down while still turning out home made meals. I wanted to see if it was still in print as it would make great gifts for my friends who are all asking to borrow it now!

Summary: I have used Make-A-Mix since 1978, and More-Make-A-Mix
Review: I bought Make-A-Mix in originally in 1978. Then I bought Make-A-Mix and More-Make-A-Mix in a set. I recommended the books to friends when they couldn't believe I made my own mixes and was so organized. I have given the books for gifts. Then they vanished from the bookstore shelves. I was thrilled when I found that they had published in hardback in a revised version.

Summary: This cookbook has helped me raise two families
Review: I first purchased this cookbook in 1978 to use to simplify my life while working & raising 2 daughters. I am now raising two granddaughters and I am again using this book to simplify my cooking and provide healthy, additive-free food. The dry mixes always provide perfect results and the meat mixes are delicious and easy to prepare. My granddaughters will also eat everything since I let them help me prepare the mixes and they know what's in them. I buy the meats required when they are on sale and make up a batch at that time. I know the food is well-cooked and not full of "junk". I would recommend this book to anyone but especially working people with kids to feed at home. What a great alternative to "McDonald's".

Summary: Absolutely my favorite cookbook!
Review: I have a family of six and we're always on the go. The mixes and recipes help me to make delicious nutritious meals in a hurry. I tell all my friends about it. I think every home should have one, whether or not you like to cook. My children enjoy making some of the recipes too. This book is invaluable! The recipes are easily adapted to our taste by adding or varying ingredients. It's helped me to be creative in the kitchen as well. The book makes a wonderful gift for new and seasoned cooks. Summary: The copy at the public library is well used!
Review: I have checked this book out from the public library 3 times...in the last 8 weeks!!! I am hunting for a hard-cover version of it so that I may purchase it for my own use. I will probably give this book to several relatives who can appreciate the time-saving recipes. I've made up many mixes and have used them repeatedly.

Summary: A "must-have" for every mom's kitchen!
Review: I love this book! This book is great for any mom (or any cook, for that matter) that has those last minute treats to bring to M.O.P.S., Sunday School, Girl Scouts, or for any snacks at home. Just make up any of the many great recipes for the mixes to keep in your pantry. Then when you need them, they will be there! Just add a few "wet" ingredients, and -- ta da -- something warm and yummy from your oven! And all of them are at a low cost.My family especially likes the Muffin Mix (the Melt-In-Your-Mouth Muffins are the best!) and the Buttermilk Pancake & Waffle Mix. I've recommended this book to many of my friends, and have given it as a gift, also.
