Rating: Summary: A must have for the "bread-maker" in the family! Review: This is a great resource cookbook. I've tried almost every recipe in it and haven't found one that my family or I don't like (especially the homemade hot yeast rolls). Whether you're a working parent, stay at home parent, or single and like convience foods, this cookbook is really a time and money saver!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful delicous meals in less time Review: This is a wonderful book for those who need delicious meals in less time. With over 300 recipes, it provides a wide selection of easy-to-follow family-style meals that can be partially prepared ahead of time. Information on equipment, procedures, & ingredients as well as great tips on lowering fat are included in the beginning. Over 50 mixes follow, each listing the recipes it can be used in. Color photos show some of the finished dishes. Recipes include appetizers, soups, salads, vegetables, side dishes, main dishes, breads, breakfasts, cakes, pies, & desserts. Some of my favorites are the lasagna, stroganoff, minestrone soup & white chili. My kids & I love the many slice and bake cookies, especially the peanut butter one. They are just like the pre-package kind in the stores but are a lot cheaper. The soft pretzels, corn dogs, & cinnamon rolls are also great treats.

Rating: Summary: Want to save money, and prepare great food? Review: This is the book to pick up if you want to save money, and prepare preservative free food. This book offers superior recipes for cake mixes, baking mixes, and so much more. Spend an afternoon making up the mixes, and then spend months enjoying your creations. One of the benefits of putting together your own mixes is knowing exactly what you put into the food. That means a lot sometimes. This book may also be up your alley if you like the once a month type of cooking, you can make up a master mix and use it for several things. I would really recommend this book if you like to save money, and who doesn't and those of us who like to know what is in our food.
Rating: Summary: Really great ideas... Review: This Make-A-Mix book is just what I needed. There are really great ideas in here & it's really good when you have kids. It's nice having meals already measured & mixed togehter so in the evening I can basically just throw something in the oven & spend more time with the kids or doing other thing. It's really nice that they give you a shelf live for the items & tell you how to store them. I also love the gift giving ideas/mixes as well. Great for the Holiday's. I'm not much of a cook & don't like spending much time in the kitchen so this book really helped me.
