Summary: Great, Simple Italian Cooking
Review: This book is the best Italian cookbook I have found since it includes so many vegetarian recipes, which is rare in an Italian cookbook, AND recipes do not begin with 2 cups of olive oil and 20 cloves of garlic as other Italian cookbooks do. I love it also for its fun reading and different cookbook style. This one is a winner for lazy cooks like me.

Summary: Wonderful! Great fun to read, with delectable recipes.
Review: This book is very warmly written, with loving tributes to the author's family members and friends. It is fun to read (and to get "inside" views of various celebrities). And the recipes are simple, but delectable. Everything I've tried has been sensational. The Pasta e Fagioli is very quick and easy to prepare (the easiest version I've ever seen). For some reason, I had expected this to be a rather exotic dish -- and was therefore very disappointed the first time I made it. However, before I knew what had happened, I had eaten three helpings. Although I don't have a drop of Italian blood in my veins, I now consider this the ultimate comfort food.

Summary: My favorite cookbook, by far..
Review: You know how you sometimes buy a cookbook, and it sits on your shelf for months without you trying a recipe, even though you love to cook? With this cookbook, you will be trying Dom's eggplant rolls the minute the book reaches your kitchen. I purchased this book several months ago, and have tried many of the recipes--all of them received rave reviews from my family! (and I'm a teenager, too, which means I've only been preparing meals all by myself, as opposed to just helping, for a few years now). Tonight, for example, I made Dom's mussels with the Risotto Primavera on the side. I made on substition though--instead of carrots and celery, I used Mushrooms (I'm a mushroom addict). We couldn't get enough of it! Absolustely delicious. Being Italian and living in New York, I grew up with many of the dishes. Obviously, I highly reccomend this book. 2 tomato sauce covered thumbs up!
