Summary: What a pinhead!
Review: Kind of like reading the script from the Anna Nicole show! What a waste!

Summary: A fascinating look at a fascinating woman
Review: I've always been intrigued by this doe-eyed, full lipped exotic beauty when she started appearing in magazines during the late '70s. I always wondered whether she was Asian, Hawaiian or anything in between. Little did I know that she was some Polish girl from south Florida!

Well, more than 20 years later, her book is a fascinating read into her life and the modelling world. After reading "Gia" and M. Gross' "Models", this book is a natural progression. I just love her witty, funny, poignant, defiant and in-your face writing style. I literally didn't put down this book until I read the last pages 5 hours later! I know I will re-read it over and over again, and of course, the accompanying photos are a bonus! Janice, if your are reading this, I (as well as many others) will be waiting for the follow up and please include some of the photographs that you have taken. I'd love to see your work at the other end of the camera!

All in all, a most satisfying book.

Summary: Absorbing!
Review: I picked up this book when I got into bed and I couldn't stop reading it until I turned the final page at 3:00 am. Janice is funny, wild, and fabulously self-deprecating when she describes her modeling triumphs and personal tragedies. Gossipy, raw and a great read.

Summary: BUY THIS BOOK!!!
Review: Janice Dickinson was the first exotic supermodel before, Cindy, Christy, Namomi and Linda. She was wild in front and behind the cameras and had more presence and personality than the supermodels today. The book talks about her brutal childhood at the hands of her father and details her dramatic rise to the top of the modelling world. What makes this book work is the candor and honesty that Ms. Dickinson portrays through every single page. In the final pages of this book after the abuse, lows, highs, drugs and sex is redemption. It's definitely worth the read.

Summary: The Road to Self Awareness
Review: I love Janice Dickinson. Her beautiful photos in Vogue fed dreams of wearing wild expressions and haute couture when I grew up. This is not just a beach tell-all book, Crazy Janice offered up much more than expected. Years ago, no one talked about the taboo of child abuse and sadly, no one was punished! Her book allows the reader to understand the pain and inner struggle of the ugliness from the past. By identifying the abuse as the catalyst to her self-destruction, she learns of her true beauty inside, which goes beyond any magazine cover and straight to the heart. Thank you for sharing your inner struggle Janice. You rule.

Summary: Garbage
Review: What a waste of paper. This self centered woman clearly has learned nothing in life

Summary: Not the brightest model out there!
Review: There is no doubt that Janice Dickinson, even in her late fourties, is a stunning beauty, with her exoticaly shaped features and almond eyes. But her intellectual level is an illustration of immaturity, naivete and most probably all the drugs she took over the years that quickly killed most of her brain cells. What was she thinking when she decided to write this book (considering it wasn't actually her that penned the words but some moron writer who decided to "capture in almost Janice's "spirit" by using words such as f** and s** in almost every sentence)? Did she desperately need money for a new house or something? And who is supposed to be the recipient of this trash? Middle aged women, aspiring models or horny men?

The only message Janice delivers clearly is that she is not a thinking woman. She slept around for decades, took endless supplies of every drug imaginable, has three failed marriages and two children out of wedlock behind her, oh and the disputable title of the first supermodel (I personally thought it was Naomi Campbell that holds the title). She blames all this shame on her abusive father. I say, get over it, old woman!

The funniest parts are towards the end of the book where Janice makes a weak attempt to be philosophical about her wasted life. "I made my share of mistakes but I'm proud of who I am today". Well, who are you? What is your contribution to this society?

If you're tempted to buy this book because of the nude pictures, buy it, scan it and return it proudly.

Summary: Not your average memoir !! Couldn't put it down!!!
Review: This book was an experience to read! It was BRUTALLY honest in its language and its content. It was both a confessional and an insider view to the world of modeling. This book isn't boring for an instant! She writes not just with honesty, but with HEART! There is no b.s. about Janice! She also has a wickedly wry sense of humor. She can be acerbic and outrageous, yet very sweet and sentimental, especially when she's talking about her two children. I highly recommended this book, though I DON"T recommended it for the faint of heart or the easily offended. There are nude photos throughout and very graphic language. But she uses it to make her points, not gratuitously.
If you are looking for a refreshingly different memoir, this one is in a class by itself!

Summary: Don't pick it up if you have chores to do!
Review: As you won't be able to put this book down! The read is fun, sad and extremely entertaining. I think Ms. Dickinson has written a book we can all relate to in some way. Her candor is appreciated, and the book is total breath of fresh air. One doesn't feel BS'd!

Summary: Into the world of catwalks
Review: Janice Dickinson is the bitchy judge on America's Top Model. After reading her autobiography, you understand why and come to respect this woman. She is up-front and in your face, tell it as she likes it. The numerous allusions she makes to the people she knows who later become famous are amazing and tremendously fascinating. This book definitely plunges you right into her world. Janice expects to sympathies just that you know the truth.
