Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: This fantastic book helped me beat this tough game without using cheats!
Rating: Summary: cross referencing the book Review: this is a very good book but there are a few flaws. one: if you follow the book exactly you will find yourself lacking HP and MP later in the game. also unless you cross reference all the sections : maps walk-through beginning marteria weapons armor and items : youwill find yourself lacking alot of items. but also w/o it i do not think i could have gotten as far as i have.
Rating: Summary: The book is great! But it needs help on beating weapons+boses Review: I basicly read this book to beat this game.Sometimes I regreted getting this book because I was tempted to read more ahead because I was going too fast. Also you need to go online to find out a much better way to beat the weapons and the boses of the game.(I recomend the finalfantasy7files).So basicly I recomend you don't get this book until you need to get the lunar harp.(you will know when you get there).
Rating: Summary: VVEERRYY helpful Review: I found this strategy guide to be very helpful, without it i probably would have missed two characters, and many helpful items.
Rating: Summary: It stinks! Review: I cant begin to explain how bad this book is. It is impossible to follow, all the information is wrong, and it makes every thing sound so easy. Well I got news for you, it aint.
Rating: Summary: What about some personnality? Review: Ok,FF7 is probably one of the best rpg I've played. But good graphics and cool characters are not enough, I think. Remember FF2? A great story, great characters but also some personnality!!! In FF2, Rosa was a white wiz, so she used white magic and wasn't very strong in hand-to-hand battle. Rydia could use black magic and call. Kain was the only character who could jump, Edge, the only one who could throw items, etc. In FF7, you just equip materia to give special abilities. Ok that's a cool system, but on the other hand, we loose the personnality that the "specific task" system was giving in FF2. Should materia be like weapons and armors, I mean that a materia could only be used by certain characters? So they would become stronger, upgrade their abilities and learn new tricks, while keeping their personnality. I'm sure a little brainstorming could give great results, I want to hear your comments or suggestions, e-mail me or write a comment like I did.
Rating: Summary: Nice production values, bad organization Review: While the writing is good and the production values utterly lavish, the maps are a disaster -- labelled with letters and numbers that don't often correspond with the legend, when there is a legend at all. More typical is the beastiary in the back: every monster has a pretty picture, but it's almost impossible to understand the icons used to show the enemies' attacks and what they're vulnerable to. Not the most practical guide, but a nice souvenir nonetheless.
Rating: Summary: This is a wicked book but it isn't the Ultimate Weapon. Review: I think this book is fantastic. Its helpful and it shows alot of secrets. I would give it 4 stars because it doesn't give you everything. If you want a good guide get the versus. It has everything and loads of stradegys.
Rating: Summary: Great hand book Review: This book was ok, It left you needing a little more info in some spots, but overall realy helps you to fully enjoy and explore the game. If you have the game, get this book.
Rating: Summary: It helped me zoom from the start to Disc 2 in 12 hours! Review: The game was pretty easy, then it gets harder and harder. But - this guide was there for me. It helped me on bosses and other battles. I completed the game in 21 hours and 38 minutes, 10 seconds on July 30th. I broke that record on August 29th, getting 19 hours, 1 minute, 27 seconds. And it was all because of the guide that came to my door last June 23rd. I want the official FF8 strategy guide! Perfect book!
