Rating: Summary: Now I'm getting dissapointed Review: Each time I look through this guide, I see more problems. Okay, first of all, I haven't seen the one from VERSUS BOOKS, but I've heard its in the same format, only organized. Anyway, this guide is okay. You won't really need this guide, the game is easy enough to master without it. The only thing you would really need this for, is to get the special Chocobos. The secrets? What secrets? It tells you all the side quests and how to get the two hidden characters, but what "secrets" are there? They don't tell you how to get the "Final Attack" materia. It says you get it from a chocobo race, but that isn't true. You get it after entering a special battle in the battle arena. The Bestiary is all screwed up. They don't tell you all the attacks, and not always what to steal. They don't give you an enemy skills list, and so they do not tell you all the enemy skills. What's worse? Okay, I don't mind the plot being spoiled and all, but I do like to expeirience the plot for myself, and with this guide I couldn't do that. They told every thing that was going to happen, and had a ton of screenshots showing it all. They give off a bunch of HUGE spoilers.Okay, the walkthrough isn't very well organized, and so I took more time reading the walkthrough then playing the game trying to find what I needed to know. I'm not one to use a guide a lot, and I wanted to master this game the first time I went through. Luckily all I have left is the Ruby Weapon. But this guide left me figuring out all the side quests by myself. Well, there are a ton of good points. The boss strategies are nice, but its better to use your own. (as I've mentioned millions of times!) They tell you things like to cast barrier and stuff like that. The walkthrough covers the whole game. The bestiary has most of the enemies, but not all of them. But the enemies it does have, it tells you their weaknesses and what they're strong against. But I hate looking for all the color codes and symbols just to figure it out. Overall this was a good guide, but you really don't need it much. Most of this stuff you can figure out on your own.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book Review: has lots of information, lots of good art as well. this book is a must have to find all of the secret nooks and crannies in the game.
Rating: Summary: FF VII Strategy Guide Review: After going through the game without the strategy guide, I found the guide great when I went through it and found all the items that I didn't find before.
Rating: Summary: final fantasy 7 Review: when I first played ff7 i was amased how good the game really is and how long it takes to finish of the game. And I found out that is cooler than ff8 I mean you have more extras like selling your magic and your summons it's really interesting and it never gets boring the puzzels, the mystery of sephyrot( your main enemy) and the thruth of your friends I mean all of that is in the story. Nothing is missing, I mean it doesn't has the graphic of ff8 but still the pictures and some of the videos are cool to view and also when you call a summon to help you out it has different attacks they are doing some other things not just the same thing like in ff8 and the puzzels are more difficult to find out but in the end you are happy to finish it off. I mean all in all ff7 is a cool game in which you have all extras you need and you want don't you think?!
Rating: Summary: This is one good guide Review: This is a good guide for a novice or a master. It give you almost a total walkthrough and still lets you have fun. If I had to say one thing I did not like it woulb be that a their are some minor mistakes but Who is perfict. It has a great wepons guide and maps....
Rating: Summary: Decent Guide Review: The guide has a very good step by step layout to the game. ITs greatest flaw is that it tells the story, I spent many frustrated minutes looking for information and also finding out what happens in the storyline before I saw it. Also the boss strategies are very vague, they dont give a deffinate method to defeat them the yjsut give you an idea on how to beat them.
Rating: Summary: Best one Review: This guide has all secrets in the game. If you want to complete the game `perfectly` this guide is MUST. Only one thing is spoil. This book doesn`t have `perfectly` way to use in some fight(ex: fight agains weapons).
Rating: Summary: Excellent Guide for FF7! Review: This is a rebuilt version of the Official Guide for Playstation, written by the same author, David Cassady. The guide for Playstation was mediocre, but this new rebuilt version for the PC is even greater. It details everything, with an excellent guide for Chocobo breeding, Materia lists and combinations, and cool weapon pictures (the weapon list itself is great, too!). A very good aspect of this guide is that it details all of the hard to find Enemy Skills. It tells in the walkthrough when you can recieve new Enemy Skills and how to get them. Even though I use FF7 on my Playstation, I still use this PC guide, because it's the exact same game. I reccomend this guide over any other FF7 guide out there.
