Summary: FF7 Guide's Got the Goods
Review: Although admittingly, it is kinda hard to screw up a video gamestrategy guide. As it is a hugely immense game with many secrets andlittle places to go, David Cassady really went through the gamemeticulously, and his information is straightforward and accurate. The only problem with this guide is that he goes into too much detail at some points and not enough at others. For example, some of the boss fights go into plenty of detail while others are basically like, "Go in there, put on Haste and Wall, and just keep attacking." Those battles are often harder than they seem. Also, the book is in narrative form, which means that, except for headings, there isn't much organization. Key points aren't really obvious, so it's kinda hard to find what you're looking for in a pinch. But for all the effort and info packed into this book, it's definitely above-average and well worth the $. Highly recommended.

Review: This guide is good, as it features chocobo guides, materia lists, and monsters, but it lacks some things that would have perfected it, such as when the best time to get certain Enemy Skills and reccommended levels. But an overall good guide. Worth 4 stars.

Review: This book is very controversial. It has a good walkthrough, but the enemy listing is very unreliable, ex. The Master Tonberry can be morphed into a ribbon- it says it doesnt morph, and I think a ribbon is the best acc. there is. If you purchase this book, buy it the same time you buy the game-don't buy it very far into the 2nd disc- it quickly becomes useless. I gave it a 4 because it has a good walkthrough and a good listing of the materia,items,weapons-and the chocobo guide is quite descriptive. But this game is easily beatable without it. (I would know)

Review: This is a great book, which will help any new gamer through the tough times of this game. I rated this book at 4 stars because there are some small things missed, and other small things are described incorrectly. But all the NEEDED information is described clear and well. There are online strategies available from other webpages, but you won't be able to get any better than the pros. Keep up the good work, Eidos Interactive. Anybody who is stuck in Final Fantasy 7, I encourage you to purchase this Strategy Guide.

Summary: Without This Book, I'd Be Lost
Review: As someone who doesn't engage in rpg gaming often, this book really offered an excellent step-by-step guide to the wonderful world of final fantasy. It includes key images of scences in the game to keep you on the right track, and to illiminate unneeded confusion. I can honestly say that without this book, I would have never gotten through the game with my sanity in tact. The only thing that I found lacking was explinations of some of the vital aspects of the game. For instance, the book never really goes into what materia really is. Because of this, I found myself floundering in this concept of "slots", and what combination of which materia is the best.
