Summary: Horrible Strat
Review: It gives gives away the story line! it sucked knowing who was going to die before they did! Not only that, it had a TOTALLY incomplete enemy skills list. The Unofficial (with the black cover) is way better. Mine is worn to the binding. It contains a complete enemy skill listing, item descriptions, and doesnt give away the story line. Not only that, it is way cheaper!

Summary: Great Guide for a great RPG
Review: This guide is the greatest guide I could ever think up myself. I believe maybe they did leave out a few glitches in the game that could help out later. For instance, the infinite item trick. But this thing provides a great map and walkthrough. I also think that the map is a great one.

Review: I would recommend this book for someone who needs help with the "basics" of beating this game. For those of you who want to go back & Max Out your game with every spell, weapon, Materia, & secret, leave this on the shelf. I would have liked more detailed description & added effects of weapons & magic, Chocobo breeding,BUILDING UP LIMIT BREAKS! which this doesn't even mention. Morphing enemies & learning enemy skills, which it also doesn't mention. OK, but not great, or even good.

Summary: Few Flaws, but Excellent for begining players!
Review: This is a great book to consult if you are stuck in one area of the game. It is worth it if you purchase it along with the book. It is also great if you are trying to make your game have impressive stats. It has plenty of full color maps, enemy stats, materia help, etc... I would recommend this book to anyone who has trouble with in-depth role playing games.

Review: Although I have not yet seen a better walkthrough, they could have added a lot more. Let me make this breif...if you need help with something, don't go out and buy the book because that is pretty much all it will help you with- that one thing. Ask your friend for help, or go to Funcoland.com- they have a good but not thourough walkthrough there.Hope I could help.

Review: I would recommend this book highly to anyone wanting a good walkthrough to conquer this game. fairly well laid out,paper in the book is of fairly cheap quality (smears if the book is 'fingered through' enough times). It has heaps of pictures and graphics in it, unlike any online walkthrough you'd find. It WAS lacking in some information that would've been useful in defeating bosses though, but nothing that can't be figured out with common sense.

Summary: Not for the perfectionist
Review: I'll say that there are parts of the game that would be very difficult to clear without the book. I'll even say that it helps you play an *almost* perfect game. But it misses out on several points. First, the monster guide is in places incomplete or misprinted. My wife and I, through our own work, found out many things that the book just missed. Master Tonberry morphs into a ribbon. A very helpful fact that completely missed the editors. When I finally turn to the book, I'm looking for completeness, and this just fell short.

Summary: Too many errors not enough info
Review: Final fantasy 7 is a great game but this guide won't help you. it has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many errors. One example is it doen't list the info on the ultimate weapons. Where the information should be it is blank. It also leaves out many secrets like the ultimate battle arena. It says to get final attack from chocobo racing but you need to get it from the ultimate battle arena. And lastly it gives away the story. Unfortunatly it is pretty much the only guide out there. So if you need help you might as well buy it.
