Rating: Summary: Real sick of the fake patriotism Review: The fake patriotism going on in america right now is making me physically ill. People think by yelling "I love america more than you do!" will somehow make those of us with fully functional brains not know what is really going on. Only the feeble-minded fall for those moronic tactics. They hide behind the flag while at the same time pushing for their fascist agenda. Throw this one in the garbage bin.
Rating: Summary: Why Is He denying His Roots?? Review: Yo, everyone knows Hannity got his start by being a secratery for the much loved Michael Moore!! Yet one day he felt he had intersting things to say just as Moore does, and he jotted down some of his ideas and gave them to Moore to see if he wood consider publishing them one day. Well, Moore was very impressed with what Hannity wrote, his views were a bit more liberal than those of Moore, but Moore still agreed to publish them one day. Well, that one day never came and this made dorky ol' Hannity mad and he stormed outta Moore's office chanting "I'll never be yer secratery again and one day the world will know my views and mine onlyyyyyy!!" But he just couldn't rehash Moore ideas so he acted like he had something to say by totally changing his views to conservative and being as pig headed about it as possible!! Wow, this guy has become worse than Bill O' Reily or that guy from the "Savage Nation" radio show!! And this is all just to get back at his former homie Michael Moore!! What a way to deny your TRU roots!! Don't fall for this, his book is very hateful, full of lies, and not well written. He should of stuck with being a secratery instead!! Also his suits and ties are very ugly. Support Michael Moore!! Peace out peeps....
Rating: Summary: Buffoon Review: One of the "paid" reviews compares Hannity to Rush Limbaugh. At least we know that the "big fat idiot's" rambling inanities can be attributed to taking hundreds of pain killers every day. So far we have no explanation for Hannity. On the other hand, look at his audience. Wanna know where the WMDs are?Look at the people who buy Hannity books. That's what they are. They are esssentially good solid Americans lacking in enough intelligence to know when they're being conned. But go ahead, pump money into Hannity's pocket for telling you what you want to hear.
Rating: Summary: A humane and generous exploration of our moral future Review: Though surprisingly difficult to read due to its turgidity and somewhat academic tone, Hannity's book is nevertheless a call to arms, a summons to action for anyone who appreciates the connection between the subconscious linguistic structures of oppression that populate our discourse, with their "either/or" dichotomies and "male/female" configurations of dominance, and the need for a "third way," not in the Clintonian sense of randomly selecting the best from all comers, but in a more coherent sense, by attaining a kind of ongoing communication with our deeper, more morally centered selves, in this fragmented age of overweening media imagery. Hannity locates freedom in the food we eat, the lives we build, the messages we pass on to our kids. The book is a suprising, but welcome, testimonial, bearing witness to the value of intimacy. For this, we thank him. Still, though, he's a complete schmuck.
Rating: Summary: Hannity goes to find scapegoat. Review: Just a poorly written partisan book. There is no objective analysis on any political or social issue. Wherever is there, all distortion and manipulative. This books is just another example where conclusion comes before analysis. He picks up data or facts whatever fits his conclusion. There is no totality. He is unhappy about America and instead of constructive analysis, he goes out to find scapegoats - the liberals. Does that make him (or other scapegoat finders) happy? Does that make America better? I doubt. That's why he becomes more and more angry everyday. There is nothing new in this book. He writes the same thing normally he repeats loudly again and again in his show. Anything wrong in America - blame it to Clinton and other liberals. Right wing idea - always good and cannot be wrong (just blind). Rich people pay more tax (he forgets mention that he is not taking about proportion).
Rating: Summary: Disturbing. Offensive. I didn't expect this at all. Review: I've been a fan of the Hannity & Colmes show. I bought this book expecting something less inflammatory than Ann Coulter. More articulate, and less Hollywood than Rush. OH-MY-GOD. He spent way too much time-to the point of obsession about Homosexuality. I couldn't finish the book. I'm sorry. The tone of this book is nothing comparable to the show. Sorry Hannity, you've soured me. I no longer watch the show,( i really enjoyed watching it)and i will no longer purchase books by this individual. What a shame.
Rating: Summary: Okay but really not as good as Bill Review: I dunno. Something about this book just didn't thrill me. Seems a little wimpy and not too hot. Hard to understand in places. I think O'reilly does a better job. In my opinion Bill has got more meat on the bone.
Rating: Summary: Just another lying, lying lair. Review: He just lies. Thats it. Bull-S**t right-wing propaganda. Why else does he belittle Colmes on his show? Why else does he have a chapter in Franken's book (Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them)? If he could pull his head out of his ass, then maybe he could be "fair and balanced", like the bulls**t motto of his mother channel. Also, this man is a class A homophobe. Look at the obsession with gaity in this book -- it disgusts me, not even that he wrote it (I'm a libertarian!), but that people actually read this trash and agree with it. In closing, I say: Alan Colmes kicks royal ass. The left is right and the right is wrong. In the words of Jefferson Airplane: "Got a revolution -- Got to revolution". Peace, and don't buy this guys schtick for a second. LIARS WHO LIE: -Bill O'Reilly -Ann Coulter -George W. -Sean Hannity -Condolisa Rice -The almighty fat-ass himself, Rush Limbaugh
Rating: Summary: A huge disappointment Review: I'm a political conservative and agree with Hannity's position on many important issues. So, unlike many who've panned his book because they disagree with his political ideology, I'm panning his book simply because it's poorly written. Simply put, Let Freedom Ring is a dull read. And Hannity's pedantic and overbearing style are to blame. Reading the book reminded me of those times in college where I registered for what should have been extremely interesting courses, only to find myself bored to tears because of how the professor treated the material. Hannity is a fine radio/TV host. He should stick to what he's good at. Next time he should hire a ghost writer.
