Summary: I loved this book
Review: I saw this book in a store several years ago and sat right down and read all of it. I did not have any money with me so I could not buy it. I have been kicking myself ever since, I can't find it anywhere. I anyone knows of a copy they would like to get rid of, please contact me. It is a charming story with excellent illustrations.

Summary: A Missed Opportunity
Review: I didn't realize that this book was no longer in print. When it circulated around the University classroom, I took a glance at it and figured I could just go and buy it. I knew that I wanted the book; I still want the book. If I come across one anywhere, I will definately pay whatever the price. I pray the publishers will someday bring it back in print.

Summary: Whimsy, satire and a bit of a knee slapper
Review: How disappointing to learn that "Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book" is not available. I just found my copy in a used book store and quickly devoured this picaresque tale of a young woman's adventures with her unusual hobby. Pressing fairies instead of flowers, Lady Cottington finds that rejecting mores and manners can have repercussions, especially when it's fairies who mete out her penance. The illustrations of the psychic impressions of squooshed fairies are hilarious, especially in the section marked "for the protection of the innocent."

Summary: Lady Cottington was magical
Review: The book is wonderful & if you come across a copy, BUY it. But, if you can't find one there is a 1998 calander out, that contains 12 of the best pages from the book (Lady Cottington's thoughts and all) & it also includes all of the "fairy holidays". The ISBN # is 0-8362-3182-1, the title is "Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Calendar".

Summary: Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book
Review: After paging through this web site, I couldn't help noticing 'customers reviews', and I couldn't resist sharing my opinion of "Lady Cottinton's Pressed Fairy Book" with the world. It is the most fancinating book on fairy's that I have had the privilage to read. The story begins with Lady Cottington as a young girl, growing up as an only child, with her father and governess. She finds a way to escape the pressures of the world - fairies! The seemingly illusional girl Angelica Cottington, started pressing her fairy friends in her 'supposed-to-be' pressed flower book, and writing each time about each fairy and how she caught it. As she grows up in the book, so her hand writing changes, which I thought was excellently done. The more fairies she collects, the more obsessed she becomes in collecting them. Later on as an obviously attractive women (having recieved proposals by many men), she still lives in the existance of her fantasy land, maybe not understanding the ways of the world in which she was born to?, but that no-one knows. She lived alone, died alone, and all memories, besides her pressed fairy book, went with her! It is a gripping story that encourages one to believe in the existance of fairies. The pictures are her proof that she is not insane, though some are drawn slightly out of proportion. It's not a book you get tired of, my thanks to Terry Jones!!!

Summary: WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZED AT THE CREATIVE MIND BEHIND THIS BOOK
Review: I was absolutely amazed at the creative mind behind this book... A friend was gifted one and she now keeps it on her coffee table...her pride and joy. I have never seen anything like it... I read it from cover to cover...and smiled the entire time.. Would love to get ahold of a copy... Thank you Terry Jones

Summary: A delightful, special read.
Review: Lady Cottington's long lost fairy collection documents in detail the process required to catch that most elusive of creatures, the fairy. Some patience, and then one good hard Splat is all it takes. Oooh, one hardly dares to look after such a descriptive interpretation of the capture of an imprint from fairydom. Still, curiousity will certainly get the best of you. You'll venture to sneak a peak, then a glance, and finally a good hard look. Your bravery will be well rewarded. Each fairy is represented by a luscious water colour "psychic" imprint, which will both shock and delight. Also, next to each picture is a description, in Lady Cottington's own lovely hand, of the capure of each particular fairy. Rest assured however, no fairies came to harm in the creation of this delightful and very special book.

Summary: Visually interesting book with well written, amusing story.
Review: This book contains the pyschic impressions of fairies left when Lady Cottington slammed her book shut on them. (The prologue to the book clarifies that no fairies where actually damaged during the process.) Interspersed within the fairy impressions is an amusing story of how fairies affected the life of this woman in her own words. The text is produced to look like handwritten scrawl which adds to the "authentic" feel of the diary entries. The writing starts as that of the young girl and ends a

Summary: Absolutely a one-off! Funny, elegant, beautiful, and witty!
Review: This is a wonderful send-up of all those artsy illustrated "Lady Whoever" countrified reminiscences. Not for the squeamish and certainly not for the humorless. As Lady Cottington matures, so do her writing style, her interests, and her (mis)adventures with the fairies that she has been snapping her book upon for many years
