Rating: Summary: Good Christian Reading Review: I am a 42 year old wife, mother, family physician, and most importantly, a "baby Christian". As such, I am continually fascinated by fellow Christians' testimonies. I loved reading about Mrs. Tylo's coming to faith. Her pre-faith marital, financial, and professional trials and tribulations--most of them self-inflicted-- parallel what many of us "late believers" have gone through. Her spiritual journey takes the reader to a third world country where false gods are worshipped, and it quickly becomes apparent from the book that this land is likely also demonized. I was both inspired and encouraged by Mrs. Tylo's coming to faith story, and will be recommending this book to family and friends, Christians and non-Christians alike.
Rating: Summary: Hunter Tylo can not make a miracle. Review: I am a viewer of the bold and the beautiful. that is the only resaon why i was curious to read this book. If you look for a gossip you better look for it in a soup opera magazine If you look for a missionary preaching, you will better pick up a born again pamphlet for free. Hunter doesn't do any of it. she is far from being an author as she is far from being an actress. she is beautiful. amazingly pretty. but it doesn't mean that she has to write a book. i can symphasize with her suffering due to her daughter's disease. i cannot understand why she insist on exposing this poor child to the cameras and the media. this is another attempt to make money by a woman who adores fame. after i finished reading the book i felt like after finished watching another b&b episode- emptiness and anger. especially for wasting my time on a low quality product. to sum up, i want to write few personal words to Hunter. there is a great actress at the same show- Catherine Lang. maybe you should make friends with her and get a lesson in humility. i couldn't find one picture of her on the web.
Rating: Summary: poor writing and poor editing Review: I couldn't get all the way throught the book. It was poorly written and poorly edited. For example, Michael's sister was Terry on page 96, but Teri on page 118. Why isn't Hunter Tylo ashamed to tell about all the public tantrums and fist fights between herself and her husband? If I were Michael Tylo, I would be embarrassed. All and all, a boring book.
Rating: Summary: God loves paupers and soap stars alike. Review: I enjoyed this book, however, I wouldn't call it a page turner. It did give me some insight into the world of TV soap opera actors, and an understanding of the kind of lifestyle they lead. I think Hunter and Michael Tylo have learned that privileged people are God's children too. They have uncommon courage and are to be admired for that. I personally think the book is a bit preachy at the end.
Rating: Summary: Another mindless vanity biography Review: I fail to see what on earth a fourth-rate soap opera actress like Hunter Tylo has done in her life to warrant an autobiography, much less a pseudo-frank, self-pitying, narcissistic pile of swill like this one. Only fans of the pretty-but-vapid actress will find anything interesting in this amateurishly written piece of junk. While her daughter's cancer is terrible, Hunter seems more intent in getting pity (and attention) for herself than for the afflicted child. The account of the Spelling trial conveniently neglects to bring up an important point: Hunter was fired because she disregarded a stipulation in her contract where she agreed she wouldn't alter her appearance--something she most certainly did by getting pregnant. Sorry, Hunter, business is business, and portraying yourself as a victim of pregnancy discrimination when you're actually a victim of your own carelessness won't change it.
Rating: Summary: God is good Review: I find that this autobiography had a sense of honesty and genuity to it. This book made me realize that life is hard for everyone no matter famous or not and that no one is truly in control of their destiny. I liked how Hunter wasn't simply descriptive of as she added her interpretation of them which really helps the reader understand what is going on. Maybe it's just me but I found that things jumped around here and there but then agiain this is my first autobiography that I've ever read so I'm sure I should expect a different writing style. I also liked how she added pics of herself with the book.

Rating: Summary: Making a Miracle Review: I found the book very interesting. Hunter Tylo is an extremely strong woman to have had all these things going on in her life while still working at B&B. Who would have guessed she was going through so many tragedies. Mrs. Tylo is a great actress. Katya's bout with cancer was absolutely heartwrenching and made me cry. Her experiences while she was India were scary.
Rating: Summary: Hunter's Miracle Review: I have just read Hunter Tylo's book, and I applaud her for her direct and honest storytelling. I was Supervising Producer on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL during the time all those harrowing incidents took place. I remember them well. It takes great courage for a person to confront his or her own trials and tribulations. It takes even greater courage to share them with the public. Hunter has done that effectively in this book, and I applaud her effort.
Rating: Summary: God is good Review: I have just read Hunters book. It is honest and from her heart. Hunter shares her testimony, of how sin and life outside of God's love and ways brings only destruction to ourselves and those we love. It is a blessing to read how Jesus steps in to save and restore lives and souls. You can see God's hand upon their lives. She shares with us that there is a lot of healing and relearning to do, when we find God, for learning God's ways when you have been taught by the world is a long and sometimes painful and ongoing process. I thank Jesus for what He has done and is doing, in their lives, she has shared with us personal details and the miracles that God has done in her life. I believe that what she shared about her experiences with hinduism to be true, Hunter does not say in her book that she researched or did a thesis on Hinduism, rather she shares with us her own personal experiences, she shares that she could not find happiness in sex, money, and religion, that God showed her that salvation comes through His Son Jesus, and it is the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from our sin. Many false religions do still sacrifice and see the blood as important in placating their gods, bringing healings and incurring blessing, it does happen, and Hunter saw this first hand. The hindues do worship many gods, Hunter shares with us what God showed her, that He is the only true God, and He does not come under the names of the false gods. God also tells us not to bring their images into our homes, for a curse will follow if we do, and she experienced what God said would happen first hand. Her writing style, her acting, her mistakes now are not the most important part of what she has shared, it was couragous of her to share so much with us, her honesty, trials and finding the true God. What is important is that Jesus, has stepped into her life, saving her and her husband restoring their family. It is a good book. Also when a person does find God and the truth, it is hard to explain to those whom do not believe in God, about miracles etc. and it is couragous of her to be so open about her experiences with God. Her book is not about research, Hunter has shared what she has gone through, and is still learning to understand, and from my own relationship with God, there is a lot of changes and relearning to do. So I am not going to stand in judgement of Hunter and say what would she know, as I see her experiences are real. I do not find Hunters book relgious for as a christian I love God, and am not ashamed to tell people, and Hunter clearly loves God, and wants to share how His love and mercy helped her and her family. I see her book helping others, a testimony of God's reality and love, and the reality of the destruction of sin in a life without God. For it is a wonderful story that she has shared with us, to see her family and marriage restored is the best news to hear and read about.
