Summary: Unique Approach
Review: Five Minutes to Orgasm Every Time You Make Love is a unique approach to lovemaking that emphasizes the woman's pleasure. The author shows that it is solely up to the woman whether or not she has a good orgasm. She doesn't have to depend on a skillful or even a competent lover, that she can take her orgasm into her own hands-literally and figuratively. This is a revolutionary idea in some respects. The somewhat "women's liberation" tone of the book will offend some men who are used to bearing the responsibility for the woman's orgasm. Other men will appreciate what the author is trying to do-relieve men of the burden of female orgasm. If she can't reach orgasm, it's not his fault. I read the book, tried the technique and can recommend the book to any couple who are unhappy with their lovemaking results.

Summary: Liked it - loved it!
Review: I liked this book and my new boyfriend LOVED the technique! I had practiced at home like the author suggests, but hadn't had a chance to try it out on a man until I started dating a new guy. I was skeptical, to say the least. What would he think? Would he enjoy the sight of me taking charge of my own orgasm? I was apprehensive, but he had popped off about women taking longer to reach orgasm, and I had retorted "that's what you think," so I had no choice but to give it a try. Just like the author Hutchins predicts, he absolutely LOVED it! He gives me the highest marks (figuratively speaking) for my lovemaking technique. His eyes lit up like roman candles, and sex sent us both into orbit. Was it exactly five minutes? I wasn't exactly watching the clock, but I don't think so. The important result was sex was fun for both of us.

Will I use this technique every time? Probably not, but it sure is a welcome relief not to have to work so darn hard every time I want to have an orgasm.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: This book sticks a little too much to the clinical aspects of a faster, easier orgasm. Although there is some humor and a down-to-earth approach, Hutchins downplays love, sharing, foreplay and caring about each other's feelings. If you have a problem reaching orgasm, this technique can help, but if you are looking for something that will make you a better, more exciting lover, I suggest you buy another book like "The Big O" by Lou Paget.

Summary: Hard to Put Down
Review: This book was hard to put down - definitely not what I expected in a how-to book about sex and the female orgasm. It's a quick and easy read, and there are a lot of real life examples of women who successfully used this formula for reliable orgasms each and every time. It's a common sense approach that worked for me.

Summary: Okay for the complete novice or "frigid" woman, I guess
Review: I felt disappointed. All the author tells you to do is masturbate, fantasize, masturbate, fantasize, masturbate... Well, you get the picture. I already knew that, and resented having paid to hear it again. I found MUCH BETTER, MUCH MORE SPECIFIC, MUCH MORE CLINICAL help in "How To Have a No-Hands Orgasm" by Mary M.! I LOVE it! It makes a lot of sense, and really helps to clarify a lot of the "fuzziness" we women have about our bodies and how we can enjoy maximum results. It's written in "laywomen's" terms, and the author does not pretend to be something she is not. I didn't feel disappointed or "flim-flammed" with Mary M.'s book as I did with this one.

Summary: This is your finger, and this is...
Review: I am a little ticked off about the top-secret "technique" that this book promises. The up-shot is, if you have read ANY books about sex, know female anatomy, and have had heterosexual sex a few times, there is nothing this book will tell you that you didn't already know.
I purchased this book thinking that perhaps there was a switch somewhere, a secret place on my body, heretofore unknown to me, that would turn me orgasmatronic... alas. I am not usually so gullible.

Summary: Intrigued Husband
Review: After reading this book I told my husband about it. He was intrigued with the idea. I saw more interest in his eyes when I told him what the "technique" involved than I've seen in a long time. Plus, when we were in bed, his lovemaking definitely showed a renewed spark. After a little practice, we've had excellent results. Thanks!

Summary: This is just for beginners
Review: If you are just now getting into the intimate part of your relationship and all this is new, this is the book for you. It offers good tips for the shy and beginners (virgins). For all others, read How To Be A Great Lover. The men I have talked to absolutely love this book. For those who know nothing about being a good lover for him, combine 5 Minutes To Orgasm, since you are a beginner, and How To Be A Great Lover, for his enjoyment.

Summary: Must Read for Every Woman
Review: The author has been accused of being too "clinical" in this book, but I like her approach because we women are too often told we MUST have romance in order to enjoy sex. Men, on the other hand, are given permission to enjoy sex just for the physicality of it. Hutchins gives women permission to enjoy sex for sex's sake as well as men. With her method, almost any woman can enjoy a faster, easier and dependable orgasm.

Summary: Just the basics, Ma'am
Review: This book isn't written by a professional, but by a real person who had a problem, and who solved her problem in a simple, easy way that can be mastered by anyone. That's why I liked it. I don't want to have to read a 400 page book, and learn fifty different silly tricks, just to have something as basic as an orgasm.

I appreciate the approach of this book, just the basics, thank you.
