Summary: Crate training
Review: "The Art of Raising a Puppy" by the New Skete Monks, who also wrote "How to be your dogs best friend",have a good chapter on crate training. If you're getting a new dog or puppy I recomend both books. They routinely work with "problem" dogs, or problems in living with dogs.

Summary: it's a miracle!
Review: After three weeks of waking up every morning to find a fragrant parcel at the bottom of the stairs I resorted to this book and my problems are solved.

I'll never throw away a cork again. There's a use for everything these days. Thank you Shirlee for such simple but effective advice.

Summary: This book is guaranteed to work!
Review: As a dog enthusiast and potential breeder I have recommended this book to more people than I can count. If you follow the methods presented here you will succeed with any dog, no matter how old. The only dog that will not be trained is the dog who is physically incapable of being trained.

Summary: My Bible When Housebreaking a Puppy
Review: I am a puppy raising leader for Guide Dogs for the Blind. The book when followed is the lifesaver. I successfully housebreak all my puppies by the methods outlined in the chapters and strongly encourage puppy raisers in my group to buy a copy.

Summary: It worked on a Basset!
Review: I followed the instructions in this book and housebroke a notoriously hard-to-housebreak Basset hound in ... well, okay, it took 10 days. I lent my copy out to another new-puppy owner and it was never returned, so now I'm ordering another copy to refresh my memory for the next puppy in my life.

Summary: Small, easy reading
Review: I found a couple hints I didn't see before, but like others found the book was overpriced.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is a step-by-step book and very thorough reading.
Review: I have read other books regarding housebreaking and this is by far the best I've read. What I love most is that she describes different scenerios for the stay-at-home and working dog owners. I started seeing results after the third day! Truly an exellent book for anyone who has a puppy or an older dog having accidents in the home.
