Rating: Summary: Great!! Very helpful book Review: This is the only book that gave me a practical schedule for feeding etc... Written in a concise manner this thin book is incredibly practical and I can assure it works, because it worked for me. Amazing.
Rating: Summary: A Lifesaver Review: This was a lifesaver! My dog was partially potty trained and this book managed to fill in all the gaps within two days. This book was an excellent investment and I would encourage anyone having housebreaking issues to get this book and try it out!
Rating: Summary: Basic stuff, but helpful Review: This was recommended by my puppy's trainer. The schedules are very helpful and easy enough to follow or modify for your own use. My problem is that my puppy hates to be left in her crate and just cries and screams while in it. When's that book coming out?
Rating: Summary: SEVEN DAYS? Review: Trouble is ..it takes you seven days to read it, during which time the dog has chewed up your slippers, bitten the postman and vomitted on the carpet. The dog has broken your house!!

Rating: Summary: 7-days may be overly optimistic! Review: We followed the schedule in the book to a "T" and done everything the author recommended. On the Seventh day, after the dog's morning walk and allowed an hour outside, the dog came-in and promptly urinated on the carpet.
Rating: Summary: It Worked for Me Review: We got our 8 week old Golden and quickly applied the principals in this book. What can I say, it worked. In a week Ginger was connecting the dots on what she should do. You still have to keep working with your dog beyond a week but the basic associations will form in just 7 days. We've had very few accidents. If your getting your dog from a breeder, usually at least 8 weeks old, it will help if the breeder has the puppy paper trained. The book even provides various schedules based on the different patterns of the family. A nice touch. Highly recommend this book. A real value compared to the price of carpet cleaning.
Rating: Summary: Thank God I Didn't Buy It Review: We were to bring a new puppy home - my and my husband's first puppy ever. I was in a panic, thinking I would not have a clue of what to do, and was very concerned about housebreaking. I selected 2 books (I won't go in to why they haven't helped me as of yet), and I did not buy this one. I thought about it, almost bought it. We brought the puppy home and with a little consistency I - an inexperienced dog-owner - had housetrained him in a week! Believe me, that was the easiest part (thus far) of dog companionship! If you use a little common sense and consistency, you do not need this book.
Rating: Summary: good to read, but failed to do. Review: You know this book was well written it help us allot to understand a little more better our dog. The author gave options on how to housebreak our puppy with certain schedule for people that worked and did not work and for certain pup age group. We sadly failed in just two days our in-laws kept taking out the dog and feeding him. But we did stick with some useful tips and so far our puppy is doing well a few little accidents but that expected in a puppy.
At night we keep the puppy in the crate with a towel on it so he wont easily be distracted by light and so on. But first thing in the morning as the author says `take him out right away to hiss pissing area' as soon as I take him out I say time to go peepe and he has learn that word that now that when we say it he does outside, so watch out we said it while we were inside the house, and he pissed right at that moment. Well we knew then that he knew that word. I recommend this book to people that want to housebreak their dog and also have idea how to start train them.
