Summary: Incredible!
Review: I absolutely couldn't put it down. My goal in life is to be able to write a book as powerful as this. I wanted to hop on a bus and go to Lawrence after I finished the book. I felt like I knew the characters, and Christ how I wept at the end! I totally loved the book and will be getting the new one right when it comes out.

Summary: This book is unbelievable
Review: Great book! If you grew up as Frank and his friends did, it will bring you right back to the days of glory, right back to the pit, when the Doors went out the window as you heard "White Riot" for the first time. The characters in this book reminded me of people I grew up with in the Boston punk scene. You'll swear you were at a Black Flag show with Frank and Oscar. I can't thank Mr. Romalotti enough for allowing me to relive the fun I had growing up punk. Looking forward to the Rash novel, I can't wait.

Summary: ... Featured Review Of The Week
Review: Let me be frank, I absolutely and thoroughly hate Charles Romalotti for ever telling me about his damned book. Now let me explain. For the past week I have rushed home from work only to lie down on my bed and read as long as my tired eyes allowed. I'd then wake up late and rush to work just barely making it on time. All because of "Salad Days", a book I now consider one of the finest I've ever read. So yeah, I was kidding. I'm actually very thankful to the author for informing me about the book. I understand that MRR wrote a highly positive review of this book, but since I haven't seen it please excuse me if you've heard this story before. Anyways, "Salad Days" is many things. It is a book about a young man and his quest to belong. It is a coming of age tale, something out of Salinger. Above all, it is a stirring reminder of the power of music, friendship and faith... Summary: Hard to put down!
Review: It was great reading a book I could so completely relate to. I've read the "beats", I've read the "hippies", and I've read the early "punks", but until I read Salad Days, I'd never read a book about me, my friends, and our generation. Though I didn't always like our hero, I couldn't help feeling very connected to him and his story, and that's the key to any great book.

Summary: Wonderful read!
Review: I just finished reading Salad Days and I have to say that it was a wonderful read! I first heard about it through an email and then a review of it a few days later in Maximum RockNRoll. I really felt that I was there with Frank through it all...I finished reading it in the car on my way to Chicago, and being on the road and also sharing Frank's adventures on the road was great! I'll be looking forward to the next book.

Summary: I strongly recommend this book
Review: Salad Days was a trip back to the 1980s when hardcore and punk were one scene trying to make a positive change in the world. The relationships in this book are very moving and each character brings their own unique outlook on life which leads you to question your own perspective. The book brought back feelings I haven't felt since I was very young and idealistic, and reinforced my belief to live my life for me regardless of what others think. I gave this book to a girl I know who wasn't into punk/hardcore and she loved it. It made her think about life differently and I think she even cried a bit! Salad Days will do really well outside of the music scene with the right exposure. I strongly recommend this book.

Summary: X-Ask Why-X
Review: I bought Salad Days late last spring....I loved it. I think I've read it four times since I got it. Keep up the great work.

Summary: Austin Celebrity Profiles review
Review: I read Salad Days in two days. I think the reason I couldn't put it down was because it really kept me guessing. Most other punk books I've read (mostly non-fiction) had pretty much the same story, but Salad Days was definitely different. I really enjoyed the band's tour adventures. You can almost feel yourself riding in the van with the whole sweaty band and experiencing all the frustrations and excitement. In the end, it is the music that kept him going, it was the music that mattered most. I think a lot of us would agree with that.

Summary: **unfair**
Review: Salad Days proves that there is no justice in this world. If there was, this book would be on the Bestsellers list.

Summary: man, was it FUNNY!
Review: Absolutely brilliant and very well executed. And it didn't cheese out, either. Truly, I think that it's an important read. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it. I pretty much thought it was going to be a poorly written pamphlet of a thing, but what arrived was an extremely well crafted novel.
