Summary: Sell Yours Quick!
Review: A 12 step guide to becoming a girl genius---this creative approach was the best part of the book for me and out of a book club of 8 successful happy women, I enjoyed it the most. I have to admit that some of her advice is right on, and I made notes throughout the book (so I won't be lending it to anyone), but hopefully the bitterness of her divorce will lessen as she sells more books, not just buys more donuts.
Oh, my second favorite part of the book? the Krispy Kreme donuts at book club...hadn't had one in years.

Summary: Bridget Jones Move Over!
Review: Cathryn Michon is a living, breathing Bridget Jones. Her wacky stories about life as a modern woman are the ultimate comfort to every "grrl" out there. Life's a bit messy for each one of us, but if we could all take Michon's attitude and declare ourselves geniuses, we'd be much happier. First step (even before the first step of her "12-step program") should be to buy this breezy book and laugh yourself silly. It just might change your life like no stuffy self-help book ever could.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Alot of fun
Review: Cathryn Michon presents some good ideas in a very funny way. It's easy to read yet I found myself thinking about what she wrote long after I had put her book down.

I recommend this book to my female friends who have been working too hard and putting too much pressure on themselves to be perfect. They have to realize that they are grrl geniuses. Since she's not preachy, Cathryn Michon gives us a boost in a very entertaining way.

Summary: This book is the BEST
Review: Cathryn Michon says that admitting that you are a grrl genius is the first step to changing your life, and she's not kidding! Her down to earth, hold nothing back advice is hilarious(I was laughing so hard I woke up my roommate!), touching, and ringing with truth. It will be my Christmas present to all my Grrl Genius friends this year, who are simply waiting to be discovered!

Summary: Not worth it
Review: Don't even bother reading this book. (...) this book is a waste of time. Of course its very repetitive since there are many books out there on the market like this. Three Black Skirts by Anna Johnson would be a better book to read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: buy one for all of your grrl genius pals, I did.
Review: I applaud Cathryn's genius and in her own genius, recognize my own! This book is silly and totally self indulgent, but what's wrong with that?

Grrls, pass this book along to anyone you know who could use a boost of self esteem. We're too hard on ourselves - we need to recognize our Genius!

Summary: laugh out loud funny
Review: I have to admit, once I started reading this book, the dishes, laundry, kids, dogs, husband and horses had to wait till I finished it. Cathryn writes in the easy voice of your best friend sitting across a coffee shop table -- or standing next to you in line at Krispy Kreme -- although it's your CRAZY best friend who knows all the best jokes. The Grrl Genius philosophy is also just the TRUTH. Women need to take credit (and responsibility) for their brilliance and wonderfulness and enjoy it! I'm a genius! Read this book and you can be a genius, too!

Summary: buy one for all of your grrl genius pals, I did.
Review: I haven't even gotten passed step 4 of the 12 steps and I've already ordered 10 more copies to give to all my grrl genius friends. I can't wait to pass this on to absolutly everyone I know, including the enlightened men in my life who will surely read it, as they are enlightened. Everytime I read something geniusy - like on every page - I want to tell someone about it. I laugh out loud and can't stand that my grrl genius friends haven't read this book and therefore cannot relish their geniusness as I'm learning how to do. I want to send all my grrl genius freinds quotes, but then I wouldn't have as much time to read and practice the 12 steps. This is why, in my geniusness, I've bought a copy for all my closest grrl genius friends.
I can honestly say that this is one of the funniest and most inspirational books I've ever picked up. I've never laughed out loude while reading, and this books cracks me up to the point of tears.
Don't pass up the opportunity for geniusness! Get this book by any means possible (some bookstores have it in-stock and discounted hint...bn), you will be glad you did.
