Rating: Summary: rotflol funny: Review: I love this book. Never have I read a book that was so funny while at the same time actually giving serious life advise. Cathryn has a great sense of the humor in life and also a true grasp of the importance of believing in yourself. I read this book while traveling and just had to laugh out loud. Most of the people on the plane just looked at me funny( obviously they didn't know that I was seriously training to be a grrl genious). One lady was brave enough to write down the title and author so that she could get the book herself. My sister read this on the subway in New York and she laughed so hard that people moved to sit in other places on the train.
Rating: Summary: Simply wonderful Review: I read this out of order--meaning, I read the Grrl Genius Guide to Sex with Other People before I read this one. I don't think it matters--this one is a wacky, silly, fun, yet moving, intelligent, and important book. Cathryn Michon's philosophy of self-worth energizes and motivates. Truly inspirational!
Rating: Summary: FUNNY! Right to the point. Review: I really love this book, I read many book about women empowering, all of them seriuous. This one has the same message but in a fresh, funny way! I couln't stop laughing. Michon got a great idea for women and put it to work. Join the club!

Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK Review: In a world of imitation Cathryn Michon is the real mccoy ... The Grrl Genius Guide to Life is sassy, hilarious and wise ... it will strike a chord with women everywhere.I urge all untapped grrlgeniuses and late bloomers out there to give themselves the gift of this wonderful book.
Rating: Summary: Cathryn Michon Rocks! Review: Like a great standup comedy routine, this book will make you LOL, even when it's pathetic. Not surprising, since the author IS a standup comedian, not to mention a very successful TV writer (Episodes for "Designing Women", "Sisters", & "China Beach" being among her notable works). The true stories of her hilarious life will strike many a chord with readers (The description of her midnight craving for "Krispy Kreme" doughnuts which becomes a frustrating New York City odyssey (is there any other kind?) is a riot. Ms. Michon achieves the impossible, going through a divorce with her sense of humor intact. The Lists, Quizzes, "Post-It's", and recipes (yes, recipes, even!) are extra fun. (I made the potato salad; it's to die for...and colorfully festive, as well.) Check it out! You'll want everyone you know to read it, too.
Rating: Summary: Guide to hilarity Review: My girlfriend gave me this book for christmas, and I finally got around to reading it. Thank the grrrl genius I did! This book is hilarious, it won't give you new meaning to life or really tell you how to 'become' a grrrl genius, but it will keep you entertained. Michon has an easy to follow writing style and some of the stories she draws on from her life are too good to be true.... I would highly recommend reading this novel!
Rating: Summary: Cathryn Michon IS a genius! Review: The author of this book has accomplished the seemingly impossible task of identifying and then demolishing the myths and misconceptions which hold back women from their teens onward. Body image, intelligence, relationships-- she explains with dead-on humor why grrls need to shed their insecurities and rejoice in themselves. Parents of teenage daughters should make this required reading for themselves and their children. I laughed with every page, but I also carried forth a determination that from this point forward, my daughters will regard themselves as geniuses!
Rating: Summary: Rehashed and unoriginal Review: The author steals from Riot Grrl and 12-step philosophies (not necessarily a bad thing), but then adds her own utterly banal two cents. The tone intends to be cheeky and bold, but just comes across as juvenile.
