Summary: A Shallow Hallmark Card
Review: This book is a shallow as today's bad Hollywood love stories. It's contrived and insultingly lacking in depth. His characters say things like " Aren't we lucky? Life is so precious." and
" Don't be a cynic... anything but that." Page after page of corny, shallow diaologue and happy, happy people. The end had me laughing and that certainly wasn't the response Mr. Patterson was after. Mostly, I'm put off with how saintly Patterson depicts his heroine. I mean here is a diary that even in it's dark moments is sweet, loving and perfect. Anger doesn't exist in this diary ever. There is no PMS, no difficulty paying the bills, or stress of being a mother while working full time. I'll stick with Maya Angelou when I want a life affirming message from a woman. Maya at least comes from a real place, while Patterson's puts on a woman's point of view like a man dressed in drag.

Summary: A man wrote this?
Review: This is a beautifully written book. As readers we are looking over the shoulder of Katie as she reads Suzanne's Diary which was written for her infant son, Nicholas. Suzanne writes about her love for Nicholas' father and her love for her son. She writes about her dreams and her fears. Katie is reading the diary looking for answers. The question is will the answers be the ones that she is hoping for?

This is an amazing book full of old fashioned romance. Once you start reading you won't want to put it down and it is a great book to sit down and read all in one sitting. Don't forget to have the tissues handy. If you read The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks and enjoyed it than this is another love story you'll want to dive right into.

Summary: Great love story
Review: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas, is one of the best books i've read. This book gave me great advice. It the same advice that Suzanne gives to Nicholas. "Life is like a game in which you are juggling 5 balls". this is so true.. its a great book and its short it wont take you long to finish it...

Summary: I love James Patterson's books.....but not this one
Review: I normally love James Patterson's books, so I was disappointed with this one. His suspense novels are awesome! I knew where he was headed with this one right off, and I just didn't care for the story.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Sweet, simple, and touching
Review: This was the first James Patterson novel that I have read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a perfect summer read... you can easily finish it in a day. I have to say that the novel takes some twists that were fairly unexpected, and overall I think that it is balanced well.

My only criticism is that Patterson's writing is at time SO flowery that in his attempts to be sweet and poignant -- there is some overkill. Other than that, I think it was a great, quick read. I've noticed that some people write that they couldn't put it down, which is true. You really want to find out how things play out for the four characters.

All in all, great book that I would recommend highly to anyone!

Summary: A Real James Fan
Review: James Patterson seems to keep re-inventing himself like Madonna. I never would have expected a story like this from him. It a story that every mother can relate to. The love for a child with the man that you love. The story shows the sensitive side of man that we rarely get to see. I would recommend this book be read by women once a year. To remind us that men have feelings and they run scared when they can no longer control their emotions. James Patterson really gives you a dose of reality with this one. But I still love his murder and mystery best.

Summary: Amazing
Review: This is the first James Patterson novel I have read and I find myself wanting to read every other novel he has written. This story was heart-warming, truly touched me and had an incredible message. This novel is absolutely wonderful!!

Summary: MUST read
Review: This book draws you in like no other. It takes you on an emotional roller coaster and in the end leaves you wanting more. At the beginning, I had no idea where the book was going.... your feelings for the characters change as you learn about them. By the end of the book, I was sobbing. I have never read a James Patterson book before and am not sure if I want to knowing that this book is not like the norm. If he puts as much feeling into the characters in his other books though, I may be forced to give them a try.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This is the first James Patterson book I have read...and I loved it.! I am not into his normal suspense/mystery novels, but this book was a grat summer beach book - I read it in one day on the beach. Although, I cried for the last half of the book, I would recommend this book to anyone who has ever truely loved and lost someone.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unexpected from Patterson, uniquely suspenseful
Review: Although Patterson is known for suspense, it's not the type you will find in this book. "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" was one of the best reads of my summer. My two friends and I each read it in one sitting. It's a quick read and it grabs your attention. Highly enjoyable with a shocking, surprise ending. Sure to please.
