Summary: This wasn't Zane's best!
Review: Some of the stuff that was happening in this book was unreal. When I was reading it I just knew that there would be emphasis of a dream sequence at the end. But there wasn't.

The part about Diana, I was relating to at first. She was hurt by a man and because of this she was particular about how she chose one. She thought that she should have one at least on her level or better. Which I can agree with. If you have a college degree you don't want to be with someone who only has a GED. It just won't work out. Men can't deal with women who they are inferior to.

But in the end, I don't get why Diana was never promoted and why didn't her and Edmund end up getting married. They were taking it a bit too slow if you ask me.

I mean some of things that happen in this story just don't make any sense. The part about what happened to Zetta and Zora was one of them. I can see Anastasia getting her act together, but then what Bradford and Donald had to do at the end was just down right stupid.

Believe me, this book takes fantasy to another level. Whether that level is bad or good, you'll have to decide for yourself. I suggest you read this book if you have not. There will be plenty of head shaking and frowning.

Summary: Interesting book
Review: The book kept my interest. It did not blow me away, but I would read the book again. The story is about Chico, Anastasia, Tomalis, and Diana in an office building. Each character is going through something that could impact their careers and lives. Out of all the characters the two I would love to see another book on would be Diana and Edmund. Especially Edmund. The story was cool though.

Summary: Elementary and Immature
Review: The first Zane book I ever read was Addicted. I really enjoyed it although it was a bit predictable. Since then I've been waiting for her to create a book just as good or better. After reading three others, I will NEVER EVER read another. Skyscraper was such a waste of my money I was searching for the receipt. The writing is simplistic, the characters have no depth and it's so predictable that you can't wait for it to end. As a teacher I've been taking her books away from many of my middle school students. I can only say that this is the audience that she must appeal to. Her writing is so simple that at times it seems like a 13 year old wrote it. Zane, you have so much to learn about writing quality material. This book deserves a -1 but I didn't have that choice. Just terrible. Shame on it all, no, shame on Zane!

Summary: I could do better
Review: There's nothing wrong with a little trash but not when it's this badly written. Zane has no ear for dialogue, her characters are one dimensional, and have no motivation for their actions, every woman has big breasts and an ample sexy backside, every man has a big youknowwhat and EVERYBODY is fine! She needs to take a page from Terry McMillan who writes funny, sexy books but actually knows how to develop distinctive characters a reader can relate to. I understand what Zane is trying to do, but truly I could do better - and that ain't saying a lot. Please if you must read this book - buy a used copy. Don't waste $27.

Summary: Once your on to do you stay on top?
Review: This book is off the hook. Zane does a great job at building each charter. They are a real lively bunch. Tomalis Wolfe (one of severaly charter) can take them up but how many will he put down to size. You have to check it out

Summary: Was this storyline a joke?
Review: This book was a very fast book to read because it was entertaining and funny but the end was so funny that I wonder if she wrote the whole thing as some pointless joke. As a serious storyline, it was a joke. As a joke storyline, it was funny.

What I liked about the book?
1. It was funny.
2. The characters were memorable.
3. The writing was done so well that I could envision the characters.

What I didn't like about the book?
1. None of the book approached reality.
2. The end of the book wrapped up the storyline in one fell swoop.
3. There is no way on this earth that all the following could happen in just a week:

a. You expose your wife of 20 something years at a Christmas party, you divorce, your kids move back home and all is right with the world.

b. A character rejects a man repeatly for many years, discovers he is an exotic dancer, discovers he is the love of her life and they live happily ever after.

3. A best friend dies, leaves a trick his money, and she starts a charitable foundation.

4. A 19 year old high school drop out gets offered a job making $80K and ends up "running thangs."

5. A 20 year house keeper all of a sudden becomes her employers soul mate

Etc..

This book was so BEYOND realistic that it wasn't even funny.

If you want a good laugh and to waste your reading time, read this book. If you want a good laugh from a book with substance, find something else to read.

Summary: Different but Good
Review: This book was different from any other book by Zane that I've read. It wasn't as erotic as I expected but I still enjoyed it.

Summary: ZANE: REALLY SCRAPES THE SKY WITH THIS ONE
Review: THIS BOOK WAS FILLED WITH DRAMA. I LOVE ZANE! IT'S ALOT OF CRAZY STUFF GOING ON IN THIS BOOK THAT IS VERY SHOCKING BUT SOMEHOW ZANE TIES THEM ALL TOGETHER.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good, but a little disappointing
Review: This book was good overall. However, I was a little disappointed because it hyped me up for the big finale at the Wolfe Christmas party, but when I got there all I could say was "that's all". I looked for a little more drama at the end. I could have read what happened the next christmas party instead of going through all that. OK read.
