Rating: Summary: The Bomb, You Hear Me!! Review: This book was so good. They twisted this story got the more you wanted to read. This was one of Zane's best books to me. I could not keep my head out of it. It was funny and it also was very crazy. This is one book you will enjoy and if you don't something must be definitely wrong with you. So if your thinking about reading this book, I advise you to go right ahead.
Rating: Summary: You go, girl!!!!!! Review: This is definitely my favorite book by Zane. The office setup made it that much more interesting. The characters are well-rounded and clearly defined. I read this book in 2 days. I definitely enjoyed it more than Nervous, even more than Addicted. I can tell Zane took her time with this novel. It is intricately woven and depicts a very realistic lifestyle. Zane, you have done it again, girl. I give you your props! Hurry up and write another one!!!
Rating: Summary: Absolute Rubbish!!! Review: This is my 2nd Zane book and it will definetly be my last, I have never experienced such bad writing, bad plots and totally unrealistic situations. The first book I read (so bad I can't even remember the name) was going to be my last Zane book. I ended up reading this one because it was sent to me by BlackExpressions and I never returned it. I thought I'd give her another try... WRONG MOVE!!! I'm not sure who her audience is, but I won't be spending good money on another of her books. P.S. could someone please explain why the "bonus section" was necessary, what did it have to do with anything?
Rating: Summary: More than just work going on 'round here! Review: This novel has the flavor of Shame on it All, my favorite Zane. I really dug how Zane dissected out the character and focused totally on what they were thinking, feeling, engaged in. The sex was NOT as explicit as I expected but it worked for the book. I was feeling this one. Please don't let this one be the last about Wolfe Automotives, ok?
Rating: Summary: Love it Review: This was one of the best books that i ever read the ending is the best it's funny and gives you so much to remeber, i would highly recomed you to read this
Rating: Summary: speechless Review: this was THE best Zane book i've read. i mean the others was great but this, this was amazing. This book didn't have as much sex as I'm used to reading from Zane, but all in all it was AMAZING. In this book Zane provides the reader with exciting characters and excellent twists and turns. I will forever be a fan of Zane. in the end she gives 4 gifts. 2 very good exotic suggestions, 1 naughty story, and 1 very sad, good story of how she lost her baby after leaving home. This lady is one of The best exotic story writers. keep up the good work.
Rating: Summary: Dayum, Zane! Review: This woman is talented in every form of the word. The storyline in this book was so much fun to read that I would jump in it if I could. The detail of the lives of the characters was well explained considering how the story started out right in the midst of all the drama which just unfolded into more drama. It took me about 4 1/2 hrs. (really) to read this because I could not put that book down and I would definitely say it's a must read as well as her other books Addicted and Heatseekers. Don't sleep on Zane cuz she's what's really good right now!
Rating: Summary: Have a Merry Christmas? Review: Tomalis Wolfe, CEO of Wolfe Industries has everything his heart desires: a healthy best friend, beautiful wife, plenty of money, successful children, and honest, hardworking, loyal employees - or does he? With the holiday season and annual company Christmas party fast approaching, Wolfe Industries is far from being full of Christmas cheer. Zetta, the wife of the CEO, gets her kicks finding new acquisitions; or should I say men to occupy her time. Anastasia and Shakia, secretaries in the assistants' pool, offer more than just office services to clients of Wolfe Industries. Being guided by the right-hand man, Bradford, their pockets are definitely being laced with more than a meager salary. Diana, Bradford's assistant, would like nothing more than for Bradford to crawl back under the rock from whence he came. Constantly being sexually harassed by him is getting to be a little bit more than she can take. With all of this hoopla, can things get any wilder? Tomalis grieves over information he receives from his best friend, realizes that he wants out of his marriage, and finds out that his children are deeply disturbed. What next? It's true what they say about the tables being turned. As all the back-stabbers plot to hurt Tomalis, the annual Christmas party dishes a healthy dose of laughter upon them all... Christmas this year was done up right - Zane style. With all the right doses of drama, erotica, love, and laughter, readers can only expect the best from this present. The additional gifts don't hurt either; Zane adds spice to everyone's lives with her added bonus section. What's in it? You'll have to unwrap those specialties yourself to see... Reviewed by T. Rating: Summary: Doing more than whistling while you work. Review: Wolfe Automotive Industries is making something more than money, and that's enemies. Tomalis Wolfe is trying to hold his empire down and his family together, however fractured they may be. With a wife sexing his employees, an estranged daughter who cannot be in the same room with her mother, and a son whose producing more children than profits, his patience is being taxed. The office is not that much better. His right hand man, Bradford, is secretly trying to sell the man's company right out from under him, and is using another company employee, the lovely Anastacia, as a prostitute for visiting clients. Add the faithful secretary Diana and her secret crush who works in the parking garage and the their secrets, and it's a free-for-all for who can catch sanity by the leg first! The climax is the company Christmas party that wraps up more than the gifts under the tree. It has got to be the best party that I have ever read about. It makes you wish that you could have attended and stayed sober, just so you wouldn't have missed anything! The best aspect of this novel is that sex wasn't the driving plot. Greed, ambition, honesty, and other factors worthy of a good soap opera made this book more than just another page-filled sexapade. Loved it!
Rating: Summary: How does this person continue to make a living as an author? Review: Wow, started reading this last night and I couldn't put it down for 3 hours. Not because it's good, but because it's bad. And not just a little bad; It's pathetically bad. One could liken it to a 50 car wreck with as many deaths. I had to see all of the carnage to fully appreciate the magnitude of the horror. It's so bad that I could no longer ignore the need to publically denounce the genre of "Poorly Written African American Books Marketed to the Unsuspecting Masses." My wife is a member of a "book club" and the members of this club seem to delight in reading books by African-Americans. Historically, I've refrained from reading these books as I'm aware of the (general) poor quality. However, I felt that I couldn't continue to denigrate this genre withought actually reading a recent publication and since this is the current selection for her club, I decided to read it. What are the highlights of the bad points of this book? Let me count the ways: 1. Unbelievable subplots and gaping plot holes: I realize that books/movies/etc. are sometimes escapist, but is it even remotely possible that the CEO of ANY company would tolerate ANY of the behavior exhibited by the family and co-workers of Tomalis? Over a course of a decade or two? I think not. By the way, how does one make the jump from repairing small electronics to becoming a car manufacturer WITHOUT going to college? What, exactly, was Bradford planning on doing and HOW was he going to do it??? It's a crucial point, but the author never reveals it. Why in the HELL would Tomalis take down Chico and then select him as his Golden Boy. I couldn't help but to guffaw out loud at that one. 2. Extremely poor character development: Could these characteres have been any more shallow? With the exception of Diane and Edmund(sp?), I felt no connection to any of the characters. I've heard of 1-dimensional characters, but I never realized that someone could actually createa a 0-dimensional character. 3. Tired, pathetic stereotypes: I won't even begin to enumerate them. I'll leave it as an exercise for the intrepid reader. But you have been forewarned. Summary: This book seems to only exist as a framework on which to hang a few steamy sex scenes. While I don't deny that there is a market for this type of book, I can't appreciate the mentality that it should be exploited. I also realize that there seems to be no lack of bad authors all rushing to meet the demand. Too bad. Oh, if you want to read a really good book, try any of the following: 1. Fear Itself: A Fearless Jones Novel 2. The Emperor of Ocean Park 3. Dragon Bones : A Novel 4. Bel Canto
