Summary: A Great Introduction
Review: This book was my first stroll into the erotica section of the bookstore, and what an introduction! I read the whole thing in about one night.
Not only was the sex between Joe, Sean, and Katy hot, but I really liked them as characters. In the space of a few hundred pages Ms. Holly manages to create characters with amazing depth and dynamic. So not only was I rooting for them during the intense loves scenes, but also for them to all be happy in the end.
I loved the ending too. I kept trying to figure out how this menage could possibly end for the three, and I must say not only was I suprised by the turn of events, I was delighted.
I think that I'll trip over to the bookstore now and look at the other books in the Black Lace line.

Summary: More Than You'd Expect
Review: When Kate Winthrop discovers her two male boarders in a romantic tryst in her bedroom, she accepts their offer to join them and thus begins an adventure for all three. Kate, a successful bookstore owner, finds herself attracted to the dominating, masterful Sean, who takes liberties with her body, but from whom Kate keeps her heart and soul at a safe distance. With Joe, Kate finds a sensitive, giving partner, one who cares for her needs and works to heal her from the wounds of her miserable marriage and divorce. This was my first Black Lace book, and I can see why they have such a following. The sex is hot - definitely some of the best written - but not at the expense of a good plot and character development. Kate is a character we all can identify with - smart, sexy, but emotionally gun-shy from a bad relationship. Both Joe and Sean are truly likeable characters, and appealing to me for different reasons. The combination is a one-two punch.

Review: Man oh man oh man! I thought I wouldn't be into this kind of book for obvious reasons, but... I'm impressed. And it aroused me. Does that scare me? Nah!

Review: Miss Holly has done it again for me I had the pleasure of reading one of her other books, cooking up a storm. But, my goodness I read this book menage in one day. I just could not put it down. I wish you all the luck in the world Ms. Holly and may you continue to write more great books.

Summary: Not "erotic" at all!
Review: Webster's dictionary defines erotic as "arousing sexual feelings or desires". This book was thus the opposite of erotic for me - it totally turned me off. I did finish it, because I kept hoping it would eventually connect with me, but it never did. Way too much with just the guys and the heroine as an outsider, (...) way too much crude language. Eros would be appalled! My hubby normally looks forward to me finishing an erotic novel, because he gets the benefits of my happy mood. After finishing this one, I just wanted to take a hot shower and forget I ever read it.

Summary: The best erotic book around.
Review: This is the first erotic book I have ever read and the best I have seen so far. I LOVED IT! It's hot, steamy but also touching, heart wrenching and a little teary eyed. This is also the first book I have ever read a guy/guy relationship that I found romantic and heart warming and wasn't dirty or sordid. Well maybe a little sordid :) (but the good kind). I just wish I could be Kate, to have 2 such wonderful men in my life, WOW, sign me up! It has a little of everything; romance, drama, mystery, tears, some bondage/submission, sex and oh some more sex :) If you have never read an erotic book or just looking for a new one GET THIS BOOK NOW, it's a keeper.

Summary: One of the best books Emma Holly has written!
Review: Emma Holly, I have to say is one of the best erotic novelists today. Not only is this book filled with lots of passion and steamy hot sex it's also filled with tenderness and love. The three main characters Joe, Sean and Kate are so well written that by the end of the book you've fallen in love with them. This is the first time I've read a book with a threesome in it because I'm not into that kind of thing but it's so well done that I was actually jealous of Kate! What I loved was that the book didn't just focus on the sex but the emotions behind it. What's better is that the ending was simply wonderful.

The descriptions are hardcore to the max. This has been my introduction to the Black Lace series. The aforementioned series has hooked me with this incredible installment and I shall give other books from said series a whirl. In the meantime, I highly recommend Menage to those with a penchant for erotic fiction.

Summary: Engaging, Sexy and Well Written
Review: I read a lot of erotica, sadly, a lot of it is just lame. The sex is not interesting, the characters are stilted, the story is flimsy and just exists to jump from one sex scene to the next and the dialog makes me cringe. Thank goodness for writers like Emma Holly who know how to write sexy books - as in books with well written and hot sex in them but are literate and stand out as more than just a series of sexual encounters. Kate Winthrop lives with two young men, Joe and Sean who are in a relationship. Kate comes home to find them having sex in her bedroom and when Sean teasingly invites her, she jumps at the chance and the three of them begin a relationship. I can't say that I've really sought out a book with homoerotica in it, this book changed my perspective and although I've since read other books with gay (male) scenes, none of them have been as sexy as the ones Holly wrote in Menage. So thanks Emma! Keep em comin! (no pun intended)

Review: I did really like this book, on average, but there were holes that got really annoying and I could would have been extreamly more happier with a different ending, but all in all it was a very good book.
