Summary: New & Different & Hot
Review: I have had this book for two days & I've read it twice. It is incredibly erotic & has a good story to go with it. Great way to enjoy a Saturday afternoon & then enjoy Saturday night with your partner!

Summary: A great intro into erotica
Review: Granted I had not been reading erotica for long when I bought this book, but I was immediately intrigued and could not put the book down. Since that time, I have lent it to three people who were each compelled to read it in one sitting. Somehow, Holly manages to create well-defined characters with great dialog while still having a lot of fantasically great sex. Her characters, scenes, etc. are all quite believable and yet her book moves you into this almost dreamlike erotica. It is your fantasies made real and tangible. Her sex scenes are very stimulating without being overdone and the reader is not made to feel bombarded with "meaningless" or even too much sex (like in Rice's Sleeping Beauty series). Because of this, the reader stays actively engaged in the book throughout the story and has a vested interest in the outcome of the characters. I loved this book and went out to buy all the rest of her erotica. Unfortunately, some is hard to find or out of print but I keep hoping they will be re-released. I have also read Cooking Up a Storm and Personal Assets as was just as satisfied with those books. I am an avid reader of romance and romance erotica and Holly has been put on the favorite author list with the likes of Robin Schone, Jennifer Crusie, Laura Kinsale, Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn, Judith Ivory, Julie Garwood, etc. My husband has read her books as well (he reads mystery, adventure and fantasy) and he enjoyed them as much as I did (wink, wink). Thanks Emma and keep the books coming. Also, she has a great website for anyone who is considering writing erotica or even wants great reading recommendations.

Summary: Wow what an erotic ride...
Review: This book will grab you from the first chapter when Kate walks in on her two roomates (Bad boy Sean and Sweet Joe) having sex in her bed. At first she is totally shocked and upset that they would do this in her room, but then she becomes turned on and joins them, thus beginning an emotional, love/hate filled journey of sexual awakening and a lasting friendship between all three. At first I could not even imagine how this relationship could work out, but Ms. Holly gave it her special touch that made it believable and an enjoyable read. I was never into m/m sex scenes, but this book really made the experience erotic and gave me a better understanding that love comes to those no matter what sex you are. I look forward to more of Emma's books and other Black Lace titles I have yet to read.

Summary: Totally sexy!
Review: Though the premise reminded me of the movie "Threesome", I found Menage to be totally sexy. I, like others, find the idea of threesomes and sexual relationships outside the normal realms (as described in the book "Playtime") to be eyeopening and this novel does a great job of that as well. It is pure fantasy at its best.

Summary: Erotic, but still a true love story
Review: Kate is strong, sexy and independent, Sean is aggressive and demanding, and Jo is sweet and passionate. Together they pulled me through every human emotion possible and left me begging for more. While the sex is HOT, intence, and frequent it is the beauty of the character's bond with each other that really make the love scenes just that...love scenes.

Throughout the story, the relationships and motives of those involved change as each is brought closer to the others, and to a better understanding of what they need. Even the ending was perfect!

If you are willing to keep your mind open to the kinkier side of desire (bondage, role playing, threesomes etc), this book provides increadible emotional rewards.

Summary: One of the best you'll find
Review: I have quite a few Black Lace novels in my collection. This is one of my favorites. Emma Holly provides readers with a mix of erotic elements that will leave you tingling with anticipation as to what the next scene brings. The "forbidden" elements take center stage in this novel, that is overflowing with erotic electricity. If you're a fan of bondage, 3-ways, and other kinkier sexual practices, this is the book for you.

Summary: Menage
Review: This is about the best book I've ever read. I read it twice in a 24 hour period. I get creamy just thinking about. Emma Holly is my new author. All my other books go in the garbage now, no use looking at them. Think I'll read it again tonight!!

Summary: Beware if you're buying this for the homoerotic content
Review: This book came highly recommended for its male, male, female threesomes. Being an avid reader of homoerotic erotica for women, I was thrilled at being able to get something new. Sadly, I was much less thrilled to actually read the book. While there is interaction between the men, who are lovers before the female protagonist shows up, the book is written from the female lead's point of view, and takes a dim look at the male sexuality displayed there.

The sex is described in very unappealing terms, ones usually associated with law suits and jail sentences. Not at all sexy. Frankly disappointing.

Summary: What a disappointment!
Review: I had high hopes for this book, but it was just plain boring. In spite of the title, there were only a couple of threesomes in the book, and they both involved the two guys getting busy with each other while "our heroine" was kind of an afterthought. The book had a LOT of back-door action, which left me cold, and the sex scenes were really pretty unimaginitive. Also, the constant references to safe sex were irritating -- people read this type of book to escape real life, not be confronted with it! The characters weren't very likable, and the ending was ludicrous. All in all, it's definitely one for the used paperback store.

Summary: A good time to be had by all....
Review: This is the first Black Lace book I bought. Because it was so good, I've bought more, but none measure up to this one. It is incredibly erotic, the characters are likeable, and the sex scenes are by turns fun, sweet, sweaty and varied. I've read other Emma Holly books, but none of them have the same combination of uninhibited sex with characters that you actually care about, although Cooking Up a Storm comes closest. Although unrealistic (of course!), there were actual emotional and psychological ramifications to the characters actions. And you won't be able to put this down if you've ever had a secret fantasy about your sexy gay friends suddenly looking at you and deciding to be a bit experimental....
