Review: A unique and illuminating blend of colorful characters and interesting adventures, Russell Banks' " Rule of the Bone," is a modern day mas- terpiece. 14 year old Chappie is the main chara- cter who narrarrates his own story of drugs, abuse, theft, and more drugs. Throughout the novel Chappie( nicknamed Bone ) encounters various individuals such as Froggy, an innocent 6 year old girl who is a victim of child pornography, group of crazy bikers called Adirondack Iron, and a spiritual but drug induced Jamaican Rastafarian known as I-Man.It's a novel everybody should read.

Review: i found thiis book to be very interesting. this is the first book i actually read. it was almost like it was a real story because it is something a real kid would do. i hope to read more books like this during the year.

Review: I think this book was very good for high school students to read and was an easy reading assignment. The charecters were well thought out and the adventures were fabulous. At first I thought it was going to be another boring school assignment, but it turned out that I really enjoyed it and read it from cover to cover.
