Summary: Clive Cussler returns to form in exciting fashion!
Review: After following Dirk Pitt from Pacific Vortex through Shockwave, I have yet to encounter a bad read from Cussler. Shockwave is especially satisfying since some of the complex plotting and surprising twists Cussler used in earlier works such as Treasure, Cyclops and Raise the Titanic return in Shockwave. I was especially intrigued by the state of the rare gem industry as conveyed by the author. While the book lacks 'solutions' to historical riddles that have been so prevalent in Cussler's previous books, it still is very much another exciting Dirk Pitt story.

Summary: Exciting page after page!
Review: My first, and not the last, novel from Clive Cussler. After several medical thrillers by authors such as Robin Cook, Clive Cussler brings an entertaining and moving novel in Shock Wave. If you are a Dirk Pitt fan, do not miss Shock Wave, you will enjoy it. I am now reading Sahara and will go one by one on his titles

Summary: Clive Cussler Reccomends This Book
Review: I personally beleive that this has been my best work yet. I worked hard to include every part of my other books to be able to make my best book yet. I would like to thank a personal friend of mine, Daniel Hankins for contributing so many ideas for this book

Summary: By far the best one to date! Couldn't put it down.
Review: This Dirk Pitt adventure is definately the best one to date. It grabs ahold of your attention right off the bat. There are 1 or 2 holes that could have used filling but what can you expect in a far out adventure such as he is known for writing. Give it a 10 and read it twice!

Summary: Dirk and Al are ready to take on more deadly adventures
Review: What happens when you cross Indiana Jones and James Bond? You get Dirk Pitt, an Air Force captain on "temporary assignment" with NUMA, the National Underwater Marine Administration, that's just happened to go on for more than 20 years. In every book, Dirk and his best friend from childhood, Al Giordino, galavant around the world, helping maidens in distress, saving the world and her ocean's from evil.

In Shock Wave, Al and Dirk start in Antarctica to witness a massive kill of people and marine animals. Huge areas of dead marine animals pop up all over the world, and it looks like a diamond king is at the root of the evil. As always, he's hatching a diabolical plan. It's up to Dirk and Al to save the day.

Summary: Thrilling, excelent, cannot leave out of your hand
Review: A marvelous novel, written with much class. All the pieces of the story fits so well together, it is almost unbelievable. Clive Cussler is a master in keeping you interested in the story, all the way. If I would have the money, I would like to introduce Dirk Pitt, in the hall of fame of action heroes like James Bond 007! Buy it, and you won't be sorry. Marcel Cicort

Summary: Dirk Pitt almost dies!!! But doesn't!!!
Review: Typical Dirk Pitt/Clive Cussler novel. Dirk and Al Giordinojump from one impossible situation to another...outrunninghelicopters on jetski's, staying alive for over two weeks at sea on a dinghy, etc. Thouroughly entertaining and a read. I don't know if anyone can tell a tale like Cussler...even if it is pretty far-fetched.

Summary: Wonderful Wonderful Wondeful
Review: My mom has read Clive CUssler for years. I on the other hand thought the book jackets always sounded a little to action adventurious(SP?) for my taste. Well I picked up this book used and thought why not. I absolutely loved it. I am a fast reader and was completly absorbed into this story and finished it in 2 hours. Dirk Pitt is such a wonderful character he combines all the parts of man you love and hate. As soon as i finished I caled my mom and borrowed all of hers and am currently reading them in order and even the first ones seem to be of the same caliber. I personally love mysteries and this combines a good mystery wih some grat action and the descriptions are so wonderful I can just picture them in my head. I love that he gives the background of the story and hen beautiful moves into the newer story. Wondeful!!!!!

Summary: "Mind-boggling Action To The Extreme"
Review: The best way to describe this book . . . Freakin' awesome! I've seen Dirk Pitt in some unbelieveable life and death situations, but this time Cussler outdid himself. Setting Pitt, his buddy Al Giordino and Maeve Fletcher (the very nice estranged daughter of the very evil Arthur Dorsett) out to sea on an unpowered boat, then watching the three use all their wits to survive made for some of the most intense and jaw dropping scenes in the book. Dorsett is definitely among my favorite Cussler villains. He and his other two daughters were some of the most depraved people Cussler has ever come up with. I also really liked the more prominent role NUMA boss Admiral Sandecker took on as he circumvented the White House in order to stop Dorsett's mining operation before it kills millions. You really see how far Sandecker will go in order to do the right thing. An incredible and emotional end as Pitt and company assault Dorsett's island. I've always said Cussler can spin one hell of a tale, and in "Shockwave" he did not disappoint.
