Rating: Summary: Absolutely The Best Dirk Pitt Book Ever Written Review: An excellent book, that never slows down with action. Also a lot of suspence that will keep you up all night reading the book.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST DIRK PITT BOOK EVER! Review: I have read Inca Gold, Sahara, Cyclops, Dragon, Vixen 03, and Shock Wave. They were all very good but I still think Shock Wave is the best. The ending has more action and is more suspenseful and entertaining than all of his other books, well....out of the ones that I have read. I haven't read Flood Tide yet so I can't say for sure but it really seems like Cussler is getting better and better with every new book. The only thing that I find kind of unbelievable in his books is that Dirk Pitt is a little too invincable. I love that he never gives up and is a strong and powerful character, but sometimes Cussler exagerates just a little too much.
Rating: Summary: Cussler's BEST Review: In my opinion, this is where Dirk Pitt reached his peak. This book has everything. I hate romance stories, but this... Whoa. I have to say it was the most emotional novel I ever actually enjoyed reading. Giordino's in top form, the villains are outstanding, and Pitt gives another reason why he's cooler than Bond. Dirk Pitt's a nice guy. Bond, for all intents and purposes, is a womanizing jerk. (This is not a knock on Bond. Bond's great, but he don't hold a candle to Pitt.) READ THIS BOOK.
Rating: Summary: Awsome Review: I really felt that this book was not only well written; but it was suspense and action packed. This was the first book I have read by Clive Cussler, and if this any indication of how his other novels will be; I will look forward to reading his other novels.
Rating: Summary: This book had everything... Review: This was an excellent book. It had everything, action, adventure, romance, and evil. This was a wonderful book.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely spell-binding. Review: As a fan of Ludlum, Clancy, Grisham, Hillerman, and Sandford, I thought I'd try one of Cussler's books and was sorry I did. I couldn't put it down until I was finished. My roommate picked it up and found it equally as difficult to put aside. I realize that some of this is imagination, some based on fact, and some very real, but that's why I read--to experience more of the world than the one I live in. Its a great thriller and grabs your attention from page 1. I highly recommend it and am looking forward to reading all of Cussler's other books.
Rating: Summary: One heck of neat book... Review: I've recently finished reading this book (another one written by C. Cussler.) To me it sounds like a pretty neat thing. I would recommend anyone who likes Cussler's books to get and read this one.
Rating: Summary: Not his best work ever Review: If you're only going to pick up one Clive Cussler (Dirk Pitt) novel in your life make sure it's not this one! The plot is tired, the situations unbelievable, and the reality scarce. Read "Dragon", "Sahara", or any pre-1994 release instead.I've looked forward to and read every Cussler novel I could put my hands on over the years. This was the first time I've been disappointed to have the ending pegged within the first 100 pages. Sure the hero always wins, but this was rediculous; I actually found myself rooting for the villians! The only reason I kept reading was in hopes that I had the ending wrong. If you're listening Mr. Cussler, this book read like it was written just to collect a paycheck...
Rating: Summary: Sequential episodes of riveting adventure Review: Dirk Pitt never ceases to amaze me with his unflappable entrance and triumphant exit, each and every adventure. His rescue of a dead cruise ship merely whets the appetite for the next wave of seemingly inescapable peril. As usual, NUMA nails Dirk's hunch and it's all rock n' roll from there on. The search for the epicenter of doom leads Dirk into night time excursions of fast wheeling car chases, aerial evasions, and covert intrusions of the Pacific. Survival in a small boat to the ravages of his captors and the sea create odds that no mortal man can overcome. However, just when you think there is no way out or no way in, the element of chance seems plausible. Even though thousands of lives hang in the balance, you can't help but root for Dirk and Al, to at least save themselves. There has never been a villain so evil and detestable as the one in Shock Wave. There have never been siblings so twisted that needed to be vanquished more than in Shcok Wave. One asks without knowing, could this be the final adventure, the end of the road, and the culmination in a blaze of glory for Clive's heroic duo? Hell no, one more lime and tequila, please.
Rating: Summary: One of Cusslers best! Review: I think this is one pf the best Dirk Pitt novels. It's also the most emotional stuff Cussler`s ever written. A VERY good novel. If you like adventures, read it!
