Summary: An Enlightening Experience
Review: Hell to Pay by Barbara Olson is the most thought provoking book I have read regarding the Clintons and this administration. She is able to weave the past experiences of Hillary and to some extent Bill Clinton together to explain present actions. Never have I been able to understand the implications or the actual happenings behind Whitewater, Filegate, Chinagate or the Travel Office Firings as it was explained here. The Lewinsky scandal is only the tip of the iceberg in the ongoing Clinton scandals and it appears that Hillary played at many times the biggest role in all of them. I wonder if the President was even "in the loop" compared to her. Hell to Pay is a well though out expose, extremely well written as well as documented. Barbara Olson should be applauded for her efforts. It's too bad she isn't given the press time that Gail Sheehy received for her fluff interpretation of the First Lady.

Summary: Scarier Than Steven King
Review: You'll notice two things when reading down this list: 1. the people who like it discuss the facts in the book and how those facts illuminate Hillary and Bill's true nature; and 2. those who dislike this book rarely refute anything in the book, but instead slander and malign both the author and those who liked the book. Upon reading this book you'll understand that those tactics are right from the Clinton playbook.

Some people will say this book is fiction; there are hundreds of footnotes, and most of the information squares with what we already know. Tons of facts here, folks; those who say the book isn't dealing in facts either didn't read it, or they're lying. It's that simple.

Others will characterize the author as "ugly-minded", "Ugly-toothed" (really), "Dumb", "Angry", "Bitter", Obsessive", "Vituperative", seething with "Brittle Rage". Classic Clinton Triangulation - don't answer the charges; rather, disparage those who bring the charges.

They're words say more about them than they do about either the author or readers who liked the book.

There is plenty of new stuff here, and in many instances the book speaks as much about Bill as it does about Hillary. These are truly frightening people, and their tactics are Nixonian. The ground is literally littered with those who have either dared to challenge the Clinton Power Structure, or who have found themselves no longer useful to B&H.

Anyone living in New York who is seriously considering voting for Hillary should read this book. Hillary doesn't care a whit for you - it's all about her.

Olson has done us a tremendous service in clearly outlining the REAL Hillary Clinton. We should be grateful.

The only thing scarier than Hillary Clinton are those people who actually admire her.

Summary: Star System -- Schmar Syster
Review: Like the one star fakers, liars and dopes, I have not read this Book ! But I liked the author interview and so am buying it.

Until amazon puts some kind of Proof of Purchase requirement on the ability to review a book, I'll give all the books I am buying five stars so as to average out at least one of the liars.

Review to follow.

Summary: Evil has a name: Hillary Rodham Clinton
Review: "But now it is Hillary's turn. The Clinton era is far from over, and Hillary's ambitions far from satisfied". With those chilling words, which are frightening enough to cause insomnia, the original draft of this book is concluded (before the Afterword, entitled "She's Back", was added later for this paperback edition). What's really scary is that there is a significant number of Americans who turn a blind eye to Hillary's extreme leftist beliefs, her flagrant abuse of power, her illegal financial activities, her lust for more power so profound she continues in a sham marriage to a sex-addicted lying sleazeball of an ex-President. When (not if) she makes a run at the presidency, someone should mail a copy of this book to every voter in America. Is Hillary as bad as all that? Read this book for your answer. You may not want to read it right before going to bed.

Barbara Olson, we miss you. Who's going to pick up your mantle as the #1 Hillary-watcher in America? Who's going to save us from her inevitable march to the White House? Rest in peace, Barbara, for here on earth there will be no peace if another Clinton becomes POTUS.

Summary: WHY THE RIGHT GOES AFTER THE CLINTONS
Review: The right does not go after the Clintons because Bill lied about Monica Lewinsky. They go after them because they think they may have ordered the murder of Vince Foster. They go after them because kids were murdered on railroad tracks in Mena, Arkansas because they may have witnessed their drug-running operation there in the 1980s. They go after them because there is a list of between 50 and 100 people mysteriously killed, all of whom knew the Clintons and had knowledge of their activities. These people were generally young and in good health. Did they all die by accident? To quote Shakespeare, "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than can be dreamt of in your philosophy." In other words, it is possible they all were killed by means other than the Clintons' ordering their deaths, but it is so far from possible as to be very close to being, for all practical purposes, that with which is impossible. Bodyguards, witneses, drug buddies, state troopers, kids, etc. Dead. If the Clintons are responsible for some or all of their deaths, they got away with all of it. THAT is why the right goes after the Clintons. If I go missing, look in Ft. Marcy Park.

Summary: Another Warning, Possibly Unheeded
Review: I read this book while the Clintons were still in the White House and, since there's every indication that Hillary will run for president in the future, I'll probably read this again.

Along with Peggy Noonan's THE CASE AGAINST HILLARY CLINTON, HELL TO PAY is a warning to America that we haven't seen the last of the Clintons--and both of these books were put out before Hillary got into the Senate!
As the presidential rumors reach a feverpitch, both of these books, along with a new one from Dick Morris called REWRITING HISTORY, need to be considered.
Am I against a women being president?
No.
Should that woman be Hillary Rodham Clinton?
Read these books and you tell me.

Reflecting on the fact that Ms. Olson perished in the 9-11 attacks, this book and its warning takes on a deeper, more chilling meaning.
We miss you, Barbara.

Summary: Is it true blondes have more fun?
Review: If Barbara Olson hadn't died on September 11, she doubtless would have continued with her cottage industry blaming everything in the world from leaky milk cartons to ring-around-the-collar to Al Franken to stubborn Blue States-voters on Billary.

But Senator Clinton's story continues to "unfold" and flourish. Babs must be looking up (or down) from wherever she is and gnashing her teeth.

Summary: Reviewers: Get Your Facts Straight
Review: The readers of Barbara Olson's book should do their research before posting a review to Amazon.com. While Barbara Olson tragically died as a passenger on American Airlines Flight 77, one of the hijacked planes that crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001, her husband is still very much alive and is the 42nd Solicitor General of the United States. He was nominated by President Bush on February 14, 2001, confirmed by the United States Senate, and took the oath of office on June 11, 2001. He did not perish on American Airlines Flight 77.

Summary: Anti-Hillary Propaganda
Review: This book is an attempt to convict Hillary as guilty of "radical politics" and stifle her chance of election to the Senate. There seems to be an undertone of envy and jealousy in Barbara's attacks on Hillary, who has succeeded in political life more than the author. The Acknowledgments mention "a series of teams" for this product, but no details on the source of funds (p.327). This book is the result from some political persecution of the Clintons (p.328). Does Barbara's connections and allies make her a mirror image of Hillary? Barbara's knowledge of Saul Alinsky raises this question. Barbara unfortunately perished on one of the hijacked flights of 9-11-2001. If this former Deputy AG was carrying a pistol many lives could have been saved.

Chapter One discusses the 1996 campaign, but does not tell why Bob Dole was picked to be the designated loser. Barbara doesn't say if Hillary was the power behind the throne or merely a deputy (p.5). Chapter Three tells of Hillary's early life and upbringing, which may explain her political outlook (p.30). One minister may have shaped her mind (pp.31-33). Was Hilary's passage to the left a reaction against her Dad? Was her "toughness" a result of failed heroes (pp.36-37)? Yale Professor Kennedy taught Law as a "social contract" that expressed the need of the power structure (p.53); is this fact "radical"? Chapter Four tells how Willy met Hillary and became of one mind (p.67). Bill Clinton's father was a salesman and a lady's man (p.73). [Genetics?] Chapter Five discusses the "Children's Defense Fund" which claims to help children (p.103). Is Hillary a "social engineer" or an advocate for corporate rulers (p.113)? Children of single parents are more exposed to destructive influences (p.116), such as corporate advertising. Do attacks on families lead to even more child exploitation? The sympathetic treatment from the corporate media suggests they are behind Hillary (p.115).

Chapter Six mentions Hillary among the "100 most influential lawyers" but wonders how to justify this (p.117)? Perhaps powerful patrons planning ahead? Does Hillary's involvement with "children's rights" reflect an unhappy youth (p.127)? Page 137 tells how Hillary's investment fund shorted pharmaceutical stocks as she pushed a national health care plan, then profited on the falling prices. Pages 141-2 tell of the cattle futures deal. Page 150 mentions the connection to the Nicaraguan Contra movement, but you must read Terry Reed's "Compromised" to learn of the Bush-Clinton connection. There is no mention of Governor W. Rockefeller of Arkansas, "a region rich in petroleum, coal, and natural gas" (p.181). Was Hillary the shrewdest campaign manager since Mark Hanna (p.216)? Chapter Eight tells of other wives who exercised power: Wilson, Harding (!), Carter, Reagan (p.221). Barbara tells how the Clintons improved Arkansas' education system (pp.224-30). The sales tax was raised and there was more state control. People paid more for a repackaged product (p.229)! President Clinton had the right to replace the Travel Office, but lied about it (p.245). [Tricky Dick style?] Pages 246-250 tell of Hillary's choices for the Dept. of Justice. Hillary's Health Care plan seems to have failed due to a lack of realism, but Barbara gives no details. This led to a loss of Democratic control of the House. (So who were the Clintons working for?) One item missing is the August 1994 golf date between Bill Gates and Bill Clinton. Both carried identical gym bags to the golf cart, and each took one away. Was there a switch involved? Next month the Dept. of Justice made a ruling favorable to Microsoft.

Summary: Sometimes you just have to read what they say.
Review: A previous review of this book wrote: "Some of the things Barbara Olson reveals is Hillary's support for Bobby Seale's Black Panthers Trial to make sure he got a fair deal even though the Panthers justified the rape of white women by black men as a political act of protest against white oppression."

In other words, Hillary should be ashamed of herself because she tried to make sure a person on trial got a fair deal. Would the writer of that review have preferred an unfair trial?
