Rating: Summary: Thoughtful, insightful better than Sheehy book Review: Well-documented and highly revealing. A thoughtfuly biography and character analysis of a powerful woman who has done much to conceal her true beliefs and agenda for the sheep. Better than the Gail Sheehy book currently available. Low reviews ignore the fact that this book is full of documented facts.
Rating: Summary: We Are the Ones Who Will Pay for these Hellish 7 Years Review: Barbara Olsen has written a beautifully documented book about our co-leader of the past 7 years. The truth often hurts, but knowledge can be protection and this fine writer has given us that and more with her excellent work. A must read for the politically motivated and watchers alike.
Rating: Summary: Read this book as a civics lesson Review: Here's a free speech lesson that should make us proud to be Americans. Mrs. Olson, having investigated the First Lady as an employee of the taxpayers, then uses that research material to attempt to finish the work that her close personal friend Kenneth Starr worked so hard to accomplish: to punish the Clintons. Where else but in America could a government prosecutor with intimate ties to the supreme government prosecutor sell the fruits of her labor for personal profit in an attempt to destroy the popular and duly elected head of the country and his wife? Buy this book. Read it. Tell your children and grandchildren the story of how President and Mrs. Clinton stood up in the face of this kind of vilification, went to work for the American people every day, and were embraced by the majority of the American people. Is this a great country, or what?
Rating: Summary: Well documented factual autobiography, a must read! Review: Ms. Olson provides documentation throughout. Much of the information used is from respected publications and books, interviews, etc. I found the book useful in reaching MY OWN conclusions about Ms. Clinton. Looking at the low rating reviews it is plain to see they are the ones who are trying to dispense bias, bigotry and hate based purely on emotions. Look past them and read the book. I read "It takes a village" by Hillary FIRST. Draw your own conclusions.
Rating: Summary: Facts are Facts Review: Boy, the Liberals are irate! Facts are this book is based upon court documentation, actual proceedings, and direct verifiable quotes. No coverups here! I found a couple of details so shocking I actually researched and found to be actually on record - but never publicly detailed by the Press. Well documented and detailed references show the real facts and not the spin. If you are interested in being a truly informed voter, you need to read this.
Rating: Summary: Truth To Tell, HELL TO PAY Is One Fine Read. Review: Not only have I read and enjoyed the book, I attended a Barbara Olson speech and booksigning. This lady has no axe to grind with the Clinton administration, she simply has truth to tell. And in this book, she lays it out there. From her first hand experiences with Congressman Clinger's committee to her work with Senator Nichols, she has documented the lengths the White House has gone to prevent the truth from coming out. Their obstructive tactics, it turns out, weren't to protect Bill Clinton as one might have suspected, they were implemented to protect Hillary. Gail Sheehy's psycho-babble book is a joke compared to HELL TO PAY. Political junkies must read this one.
Rating: Summary: hell to pay Review: hell to pay is a well written timeline of the evolution of power in the white house today. liberal mines would admire the determination and dedication of hillary clinton to her belief and adgenda. the book well documents the strengths as well as the weaknesses of these partners. hillary is portrayed as she probably is, focused, aggressive, with a little larceny in her. bill is bill in the book, a man shrewd enough to realize the pluses in their partnership certainly outweigh the negatives.i found the book very factual, easily digestable, and eye opening without devestation. a great republican handbook for new york in 2000. ya gotta love bill! what a guy!
Rating: Summary: Who can doubt this? Review: ...What I found fascinating about this book was its verifiability. In every case where Olson reveals some particularly damning bit of information, she is impecable about tieing it to easily corroborated additional public documentation. What is compelling about this book is not so much that it tends to confirm the worst suspicions of many who feel that the Clintons have been a disaster for the American body politic, but that it illuminates the reasons why this has taken place. Olson, by the by, never stoops to cheap shots and is noticably quiet when it comes to Chelsea and Hillary's relationship with her. This book, taken in isolation, would be considered a most distasteful expose of an American personality. Unfortunately, we are all part of the continuing story of Hillary Clinton. This book is more of an explanation for why a member of the extended family is locked in the attic. A good book....whether you like Hillary or not!
Rating: Summary: A True Look At St. Hillary Review: Finally, a woman who can recognize this fraud for what she is. This book was written to expose the duplicitous behavior that brought down the Clinton administration. Consider if you will that if Hillary hadn't hidden billing records and had been forthright about Whitewater and the multitude of other scandals, there wouldn't have been a special prosecutor and he wouldn't have found out about Monica and Billy Boy's obstruction of justice. This view comes from no one less than Chris Matthews, an honest liberal. If you want the truth you read this, if you want to idolize St. Hillary then read Sheehy's shallow account. If you want this book, order it here, because some bookstores are censoring it and hiding it from view.
Rating: Summary: A Public Service Review: I originally had reservations about reading a book describing what I already know about this destructive woman and her criminal husband. However, Ms. Olson does such a masterful job of documenting and explaning the real HRC in an interesting and enjoyable writing style that I could not put the book down....
