Rating: Summary: I'd give it -5 stars if possible. Review: I wish I had the book in front of me so that I could quote some of the inane theories that Dr. Welsing puts forth. Perhaps of interest insomuch as it shows how ridiculous one can be and still get published.
Rating: Summary: Just More Race Baiting Review: Wouldn't it be lovely if we could put aside the notion that our skin coloring matters? I don't mean "matters" in the sense that we shouldn't be proud of who we are. I mean "matters" in the sense that "white" is inextricably opposed to "black" and vice versa. Dr. Welsing sees "white" America as locked in a strategic game plan to dominate, subordinate, and destroy the lives of African Americans. She expouses the view that African Americans can only improve their lives by realizing this simple truth. This is a "truth" that I don't buy. If you're interested in a thoughtful approach to racial healing and reconciliation, this book is not for you. If you believe that people, regardless of race or color, should live and work together in harmony, there are plenty of other, better reasoned, and more thoughtful books to consider.
Rating: Summary: This book has changed my way of thinking on RACISM Review: This is the book that should be read by all coloured and the so called 'WHITE' people around the world. I would recommend it to be incorporated into African education curriculums covering primary, secondary schools and all universities. All colored especially Blacks must understand why things are the way they are. I consider Welsing's writing to be absolutely TRUE, there cannot be any other explanation of 'racism'. The book should also be translated into other main languages(e.g Germany, Swahili, French, Chinese, Russian e.t.c).
Rating: Summary: psychological summary of the white male psyche Review: This is an outstanding book and is very informative! I recommend it to college level students.
Rating: Summary: The Isis Papers:The Keys To The Colors Review: This book opened my eyes to a world that I have denied exsisted, the total operating system of white supremacy and how it has and continues to affect all non-whites. It is serious business and I believe it to be truth. Not recommended reading for the weak of mind. As a matter of fact I am creating a web page coinciding The Isis Papers and asking the public related questions based on Dr. Frances Cress Welsing's ideologies.
Rating: Summary: Shattering the illusion of racism Review: This book outlines in clear and simple language the stupidity in defending something you do not understand. Upon reading this book, you will not look at a lot of things the same ever again. Instead of be mystified by the practice of racism, become energized in detecting and crushing it!
Rating: Summary: *THE* most important work on the subject of RACISM. Review: Dr. Frances Cress Welsing is a Black psychiatrist who asked herself *WHY* racism (white supremacy) exists on planet earth. Then she proceeded to supply the answer to that question in "The Issis Papers: Keys to Colors". After presenting her analysis of the *color* problem, Dr. Welsing suggests how people who classify themselves as "white" and people they classify as *colored* can eliminate the global system of racism to produce justice, harmony and peace for all people.
After you read "The Issis Papers", then PLEASE continue on to read the suggested strategies for the elimination of racism, as outlined in Neely Fuller's book: The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept: A Textbook/Workbook for Thought, Speech and/or Action for the Victims of Racism (White Supremacy).
Rating: Summary: Isis Papers Review: I happened upon this book by accident. I was in the book store, picked it up and thought it looked interesting to read. It offers an insight like no other into the mind of
White Suppremists. I think that people of all colors should
read this book. I think it will make all of us think, and perhaps if we recognize our own short comings, we can do away with them
and make our society a much better one to live in.
Rating: Summary: Highly thought provoking and insightful. Review: The Isis Papers was a book that took me 5 years to
locate and it was quite a bit more than I had anticipated.
It gave a highly psychological review of White Supremecy.
Her book gave answers to behaviors and things that
were not been fully explainable, so I had thought.
It helped me put pieces of things I and others had experienced together. It helped me remove the shackles of white
racism
Rating: Summary: The Worst Book I Ever Read Review: This book is so horrid that it made me ill just thinking about it. It is obscenely retarded, ridiculously hyperbolic and has all the style of the instructions on a package of dog food. I've read cereal boxes with more wit and humor. I've heard more insight into the nature of race from 7 year old children.Perhaps the only thing more astounding than the fact that the book was ever published is that there are people who actually believe this garbage. It only underscores how tragic are the dimensions of this uniquely American dilemma. I only wish that I could come back and add to this review every time I had an opportunity to find a new metaphor for idiotic poison stinkiness. In fact, the Isis Papers is a milestone, a testament to awfulness which will have critics reaching for superlatives for years to come. It will continue to challenge reasonable people with common sense to find ways to describe its slimy gutwrenching putrid foulness. After I read it, I tried to justify it. I tried to figure out where she was coming from. No good. It sat on my shelf - and I thought, well at least I can tell something about people by judging their reaction to the book on my shelf. Instead, I just got nauseated by seeing it there. I actually felt sorry for the books that were next to it. OK, I say - there has got to be a good use for it. So I cut out the middle of it and made it into a book safe. Then I couldn't think of anything I cared about enough to hide, but not so much that I would put it into the embrace of the Isis Papers. In the end there was only one good use I found for this book. I threw it into the trash. With that one motion I felt purified and my house felt cleaner. So I picked it out of the trash and did it again 12 times. I would remind thoughtful people, in case you've never seen it -heaven forbid the temptation strikes you - that books don't burn well; whole books that is. If you take the pages out one at a time however, you get good kindling. Just thought you should know.
