Summary: Poorly Written With Few Facts to Support Assertions
Review: I am amazed with how many of these authors are getting away with this type of writting. If you are writting an opinion piece don't try to back up your assertions with fraudulent type sources. There are more lies, exagerations, and opinions that are being reported as facts than I've seen in any one book in a long time. Regardless of your political beliefs I would ask you to not buy in to this type of garbage. Make up your own mind about what you think and feel and please check sources before subscribing to a belief system that belongs to someone else.

Summary: Concise and empowering
Review: Among the myriad of books available to the conservative shopper, I am convinced that Mark Smith's "Official Handbook of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" is the most cogent and pursuasive one out there. This practical guide to debunking some of the Left's most outrageous myths is worth it's weight in gold. If you are looking for a quick guide to help you make all your liberal friends look like fools, than this book is for you.

Summary: Why I feel this book is Bad.
Review: I think this book is exactly what the title says it is and the title is a sort of misleading tongue in cheek Truth. A sort of hiding something in plain site. The book seems to be jesting with it's title but in actuality it is exactly what it says it is, "The OFFICIAL Handbook of the VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY". Its quick and simple easy reading format is done in such a way so that you'll know what to think and you'll know what to say. A sort of cloning of ideas because you can't argue, even if you are right, when someone is programmed to believe and repeat an idea. The book does what it is supposed to do; it gives you all the answers on how to except a one-sided close-minded doctrine. This book doesn't stimulate debate or independent thought so you can drawl your own conclusions on what you think or feel. I'm giving this book one star because I feel it threatens to break down and end real communication in this country between the people of the larger family we call The United States of America. That lack of communication will then have the same effect that it has on any relationship or family, and just as anyone knows that has been in a failed relationship, when people can't speak their minds it just doesn't work.

Summary: Astonishing & Ignorant
Review: This is an interesting book, although I do not think that it is as well-written as some conservative books that I have been reading recently. I prefer my political books with a humorous side, and though this one tries, it really doesn't succeed well. I'm sure that the author is well-intentioned, and he makes quite a few valid points, but it's a bit heavy-handed to me, although I agree with a lot of what he has written. The conservative talking points which it includes are well worth the price of purchasing the book.

Summary: A clear and concise presentation of conservatism.
Review: This book is an excellent read. In "The Official Handbook of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy," Mark W. Smith presents a clear, concise view of conservatism and conservative thought. Smith tackles a number of important issues ranging from Iraw and the War on Terrorism to illegal immigration and controlling our borders; from tax cuts and tax reform to the case against government-run health care; from gun rights to education reform/school choice to crime and punishment. Smith raises and shoots down liberal arguments on each and every issue. This book is very cleverly written, and contains conservative talking points on each issue. This book will arm you with the real facts and help you prepare for your next argument with that stubborn, obnoxious liberal friend, relative or co-worker. "The Official Handbook of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" is one of the best political books of 2004.

Summary: Required Reading for All Conservatives
Review: This book should be required reading for all conservatives and those sitting on the fence. Mark W. Smith totally demolishes the liberal perspective on many important issues, such as the war on terror, abortion, right to bear arms, etc...

I have successfully used these arguments in debates with my liberal friends. Smith's logical and rational approach to these issues makes it very hard, if not impossible, to support and defend the liberal viewpoint.

Smith has equipped us with a great weapon against the evils of liberalism. It's high time that all conservatives get on the ball and stand up for their rights and beliefs!

Summary: Attention Free Thinkers:
Review: First of all, I have to give credit to the idea of philosophical debate in these crucial areas, such as abortion, taxes, war, etc., and just for being written, I give this book a 2. This book provides some reasonable arguments, and some weak ones. Because I am neither a Conservative nor a Liberal, (I refuse to label myself), I have the priveledge of being able to have views that are both Conservative and Liberal without feeling guilty. Where I have a problem, however, is that too many people in this world are eager and willing to take on loaded titles that do nothing more than seperate us from ourselves.

What ever happened to Democracy? Where is the respect for individuality and freedom of expression? When did we stop honoring diversity? These are questions we rarely ask ourselves. Too many of us are afraid of taking our lives into our own hands, and out of the hands of these "Parties." That would mean we actually had to have our OWN opinions on politics, and the world. That amount of power is too frightening for most people. They have to give themselves comfortable labels, and hide behind figure heads who only pretend to have the people's interests in mind.

My Friends, we are all being lied to. The "battle" between Republicans and Democrats is an illusion. They are two branches of the same system of control, all designed to divide us and turn us against each other. Now is the time to disconnect from the machine, tap into our true potential (even if that means more responsibility), and take it upon ourselves to create and maintain a TRUE democracy, one that honors individuality and personal opinion over profit and agenda.

Read this book, but then read a few more from different views. Keep in mind that the majority of these books use heavy emotions to manipulate you. Do your own research. Question all established answers, even if they go against your "Party".

Free Thinkers of the world, do not let partisan wars destroy our society. If you want to live in a Democracy, work to preserve it.
