Summary: Outstanding guide to shopping
Review: I love Lucky magazine so I was looking forward to this book. It did not disappoint. The book is divided by clothing item, with both general and item-specific advice in each chapter. The authors give many different examples for each item of clothing by themselves and combined into outfits. Due to the items not being categorized by the fashion situation to which you will go, you can not turn immediately to a page about what to wear to a job interview. However, you can turn to the chapter about suits and find out what to wear that way. Throughout the book they also showcase women who I assume are the epitome of fashion according to the authors, but seem like regular people. There are some illustrations rather than pictures, when they are giving general advice about how an item should fit. However, there are by far more photos. Plus, the illustrations are very well done. Although I recognize some items in the photos as having once been in Lucky magazine, and I think of Lucky magazine as being trendy, the authors were careful to choose items that will stand the test of time, or at least the next few years. I recommend this book to anyone. It has practical advice, great pictures, and is fun to look at.

Summary: Great drawings, well organized
Review: I love this book! now I realize how little I knew about myself and about how I dress until I got this book, I gave it a 4 star only because it does not say much about colors and color coordinating your clothing or about basic summer, spring, winter clothing colors. Hopefully the authors will include that in the next issue. Other than that, this book is great for any type and size of people who want to learn how to choose clothing items that make them look their best. I keep this book handy as my reference book while I work on improving my wardrove, I specially like the huge number of drawings and picuter, to me a picture is worth a thousand words and this book proves it.

Review: I never ever ever write reviews about books but I just had to about this one. This manuel is awesome it has everything you need to put together a great wardrobe for your body type. I would definitly recommend this book to anyone

Summary: A staple for any wardrobe!
Review: I recently purchased this book for myself and my shopping buddy. It is a killer book!! Great examples and advice. My only complaint is that it is poorly bound. And there are no references on how to get the clothes they have shown in the book. This can be a benefit because you are forced to do some creative shopping yourself...and it may save you from going on a shopping spree (not having the designer names and all). Over all get this book and add it to your wardrobe.

Summary: Great Idea Book
Review: I think that this book gives tons of info on clothing for your body type,and how to use clothing that you already have in your closet. It also shares with you different types of styles and tips for re-building your wardrobe. buy this book if you love heels, have the love to dress up, or simply love fashion...or if you are like me, just want to learn to dress up and figure out what you like. Since I am only 20 yrs. old,not having much influence of women around my life, and learning to go beyond blue jeans and crewnecks, I really got a lot of ideas on how to dress up jeans,and just dress up in general. and i baught my first pair of classic black pumps, becuse of this book, it helped me to see what other options i have.At my age it is very intimidating to see all kinds of shoes and clothing , then not knowing what goes w/ what, or what to go under clothes. this book also talks about underwear, down to shoes. Its also really great b/c i keep refering back to this book over and over. some peices of clothing that they have featured in this book might go out of style, however,they mostly showed pieces that have been classics and that are most likely not to go out of style.Still, i love this book and it has helped me to see alot clearer of what I want to wear , and what to buy. Buy it you wont regret it!

Summary: A lot of common sense...
Review: I wouldn't consider myself a fashion idiot, but I definitely have questions about matching funky colors (when it doesn't include black) and other questions. Unfortunately, this book is more of a review of the types of clothes you can buy. It is broken down into shirts, pants, jeans, shoes, etc. and it details the various styles out there and which ones make you look nice and how to avoid looking frumpy. Unfortunately, I found very little insight or enlightenment with this book and wouldn't really recommend it...it is well put together and is attractive in its setup, but it isn't very helpful for those who are looking to really enhance their wardrobe. It was a lot of common sense information that if I know, a lot of other women out there must already know too.

Summary: Great Book--but need a little more help on where to go.....
Review: I've been a loyal subscriber to Lucky magazine since it came out and I love it! Naturally, when I saw this book, I ordered it right away. The book is well done and gives tons of great fashion ideas that I will try. I love how the book is illustrated and also, how they walk you through the wardrobe essentials. But, I have to say that I am a wee bit dissapointed that there isn't more information on where the clothing and accessories featured in the book can be purchased--I saw many items that I want but don't know where to go to get them--a little frustrating for a shop-a-holic.

Review: I've given this book as a gift to all my friends- that's how much I love this book! It explains exactly what you need to build a basic wardrobe and then what you might want to have in addition.
I also love that it suggests certain styles to flatter your shape.
You cannot go wrong with this book!
