Summary: What an expose!!! Well-written although a little redundant.
Review: Laura Ingraham does a great job of hitting liberals with the one thing they cannot live with - the TRUTH. I like her style of writing better than Ann Coulter's. Ann tends to try to impress people by how big her vocabulary is where Laura does what the best writers do - they write like they talk.

Her razor-sharp commentary backed up with facts and quotes is devastating to people who have a hard time with reality.

The only suggestion for improvement I would have for Laura is that she tends to overdo the third person style. I mean, you only need to give us the dripping elitist viewpoint so many times. We get it.

Overall, liberals are going to hate Laura like they hate most things that are good and decent and true.

Summary: Maybe it's just a bad book?
Review: Perhaps the fact that the book is so hard to find at the evil, "liberal" book stores (as she constantly whines about on her show)has more to do with the quality of the book than the imagined political bias of the booksellers.

Remainder racks here we come!

Summary: There Should Be A Negative Star Rating
Review: Laura Ingrahm's latest shriek expands on her hatred of Bill and Hillary into democrats in general. The title, a jab at Barabra Streisand, underscores the terrible irony that so dominates this doleful - and, unfortunately, most visible - segment of American political thought, that Ingrahm's malevolent and sound bite opinions are somehow worth plunking bucks down to read. They aren't. My advice is to take the money and buy an extra catbox...it will be more utile...

Then again, if you buy the book, you'll have a liner...

Summary: Shut up and Read!
Review: I just finished this book; I'm a little amazed at the reactions. After reading the reviews listed here, it is obvious some of these reviewers haven't read beyond the dust jacket and some haven't read that much. What Ms. Ingraham deftly does is expose the hypocrisy of the elite in their own words. She also demonstrated the contempt with which these elitists treat the great-unwashed masses.
The director Otto Preminger referred to actors as being little more than trained animals, jumping through hoops as the director's command. Truman Capote said that the best actors were the "stupidest" (his word.) When Ronald Reagan was asked about comments made by Ed Asner he replied, "What does an actor know about politics?" Why should it be a surprise when we read the words of our celluloid heroes and find out that they are insipid, two dimensional characters with nothing of substance to add to the discourse. When did we begin to look to the likes of Barbara and Sarandon for answers to complex world problems? Ms. Ingraham only points out the obvious; our entertainers are here to entertain us.
The revelation to me was the genesis of the elitist doctrine and Ms. Ingraham does a fine job of recalling this. I can see where this would be an annoying inconvenience to the elitists today; the pretense that these people speak, and "feel" for the very people they treat with such contempt. To read just how disdainful Jane Fonda is of the average American is unsettling. In fact, I see this condescension in some of the reviews written here; mocking Southern accents, and advising us we don't have to read this book. Am I not entitled to read and decide for myself?
Regardless of your political opinions, read this book, it is well written and it is worth the few hours you'll spend, if only to remind you that the world's problems require reasoned thought, not a few bumper sticker slogans tossed out by people that make their living playing "make believe."

Summary: A so called conservative in liberal disguise
Review: The first contradiction is on the cover: the view that you need good looks to promote something. Using sex appeal to sell is pure Hollywood.
The idea that Hollywood produces only left tilting views is flawed: Ronald Reagan, Charlton Heston, Arnold Swarzhenegger are also examples of views that are Hollywoodian.
Lauran Ingraham doesn't have a clue about the true left or right because there is no such extreme in American politics. Ms Ingraham should be gratefull of the country in which she lives where the mini left is as capitalistic as the mini right, and as democratic.
I dare say that the SUV debate in America is a good example of the wrong labeling going on: the conservatives are defending the liberal view that anything goes. Only the greens are defending the conservative position. To defend people making outrageously large sums of money is now a conservative passion but in reality this has nothing to do with conservatism which has the built in notion that waste and greed isn't good for anybody and frankly anti-religious.

Summary: An elitist cry baby writes about her own
Review: Not all of Laura Ingraham's points are bad, but she makes them in such a cry-baby way that I gave up half way through. I spent six proud years in the Army despite being shot at for being in the wrong country thanks to the idiot President that sent us there: a democrat. Yet Laura would have you believe that all liberal democrats are anti-war sissies and any American that puts a war down is a liberal. Well I was there, Vietnam sucked, and I vote straight Republican.

Fact is both parties have managed to get us into plenty of wars, though it's not their sons that are doing the fighting. Bush Jr. and Clinton both dodged the draft, so there are cowards on both sides of the fence. Notice the only man who has seen combat in Bush's office is Powell and he is the "dove". Get shot at, it will make you think real hard about war.

I did two tour tours in Vietnam. Once in 68 and once in 71. Malaria cut the last one a month short and ended my life in the Army. The war sucked and we shouldn't have been there. I still made my kills. So I was against the war, even as I did my job. What does that make me? Ingraham doesn't have a clue what she is talking about.

I'd like to see Ingraham put her summer time patriotism on the line with her life serving her nation, and then see how much she talks. I can't stand tree huggers either, but I won't listen to some puffed up wannabe talk down any American when she is just as bad as the people she picks on.

Ingraham, if you haven't served, shut up and get on with your pathetic life. You're welcome to stay in this country, but you haven't paid your dues, so you're just another leech. Stop ragging on the other leeches; you haven't earned the right to.

Summary: Streisand and Henley should shut-up...about what?
Review: I don't understand why everyone is getting so worked up about some Hollywood types expressing some liberal opinions. I have Dish network with over 200 channels and I watch a lot of TV, - MSNBC, FOX, CNBC, CNN, C-SPAN, ABC News, NBC and CBS , etc., and I have never once seen Barbara Striesand on TV pushing any liberal agenda. I may have seen her on the Grammy's a few years ago, and maybe she made some speech against testing cosmetics on monkeys or something, I really don't remember. I know she does some fund raisers now and then where maybe she's able to express her opinions. Same with Don Henley. I think you need to shell out at least 60 or 70 bucks for a concert or go to the trouble of searching the internet before you're exposed to their liberal ideas. The reason I know these people are extreme liberals is mainly due to people like Laura who have repeatedly informed me of this. You really have to go out of your way to hear what Don Henley and Barbara Streisand and Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins have to say about anything.

Laura, on the other hand, I don't even have to try, and there she is. I'm just flippin thru my channels minding my own business and there she is, whining along with all the others - "Liberals are evil, Clinton is scum, Hillary is satan, the Dixie Chicks are traitors, Micheal Moore is a commie, Winkie the Telletubbie is homosexual....". There they all are day after day after day: Rush, Bill O'Rielly, Robert Novak, George Will, Micheal Savage, Hannity and Combs, Kudlow and Cramer, Ann Coulter, Tony Snow, Bill Buckley, Bill Bennett, Pat Buchanan, Pat Robertson, Mona Cheren...I'm just trying to find the Comedy Channel, and there they all are, screaming at me about liberals subverting America. That's pretty much all I see. Maybe Don Henley needs to shut up and sing, but I don't care, because I'm not paying 70 bucks to see him and he's not on my cable every single day going on and on and on and on about liberals subverting America. Henley and Streisand are not the ones who need to shut up.

But there is a very amusing irony about Laura - with her Mt. Vernon childhood, prep-school and Bryn Mawr education, elite sorority membership and cushy TV commentator job, whining about the "elitist" show biz types spouting their opinions. Whether you're liberal or conservative, you have to admit that's pretty funny.

Summary: Make the conservatives whine.
Review: I love how conservatives, when confronted with arguments (or people) they don't like, consistently sink to childish name calling rather attempt to engage in intelligent debate. Their opponents are "infantile," while their fellow conservatives are "morally courageous." How pathetic these "courageous Americans" are. I think Ms Ingraham's book is a pack of lies, and unfortunately the news is too. As many people who truly love this country know too well, elitism is corrupt state of mind - and they got it bad on FOX and MSNBC and CNBC and all the other havens for these elitist conservative commentators..

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: I'd give it less if I could
Review: What a waste of paper. I'm all open to listening to peoples ideas and new ways of thinking, but Ms. Ingraham just goes on rants and rants that make UFO theories look plausible. Ultimately, what it boils down to is ONE person's opinion throughout this entire read.

Her writing style isn't bad, and while her "facts" seem more like guesses and high horse preaching, some of them are interesting to say the least. But really, what it comes down to is that they aren't facts at all, they are just opinions. Interesting opinions, but opinions nonetheless.

It seems more like propoganda than a read "hard hitting" book.

Summary: I hate you liberals
Review: This is an amazing book. It makes clear black and white distinctions between good and evil, elitism and everyoneism, right and wrong. You gotta buy it. Just the other day, I couldn't find it in the store because liberals are afraid of the Truth and don't want to sell it, but I saw plenty of copies of Hillary's book. Some lady said that conservatives were morons so I told her to buy this book. She snickered in a snotty, elitist sort of way. Later on I trip her by "accident". My point is we all have to fight for what's right. Laura's doing her part and all americans should do theirs.
