Rating: Summary: Compilation/Confirmation of War on Christianity Review: Many have thought that there is increasing war from the liberals propoganda machine brainwashing America against Christianity. Here Limbaugh gives the plain facts for all to see. They, the left, will go to any means, even breaking of the law to rid the country of Christianity. While accepting and promoting in many settings other forms of religion, Christianity is so offensive to this societal segment (academia, NEA, media, et al) that they constantly lash out with all means at their disposal. Trying to hide under the false guise of Constitutional protection which is not there, they show they are inconsistent, close-minded, and morally defunct. See the valuable treastise on this: A Nation Dedicated to Religious Liberty by Arlin M. Adams and Charles J. Emmerich. Limbaugh provides case after case after case to show this. Also, as this reviewer has done to his benefit, go on one of the websites of the legal action groups policing this stuff, e.g. FIRE and monitor the current scene. One can easily surmise that this massive display of evidence is only the tip of the coming iceberg for Christians in a country touted on its very foundations for freedom of religion. As one other reviewer has put it so well, Christians have been told we will suffer for the precious name of Christ that we bear. Sad to see the day now that it is growing so intense in our own country.
Rating: Summary: Every American Must Read This Book! Review: It is obvious that Mr. Limbaugh has done his homework on this subject. Christians have been losing their privilege to worship in American for a long time. In recent years that war has been escalated tremendously. If people don't wake up and start speaking out for their rights, the day is going to come when we won't be able to. Consider this book as a wake up call. You may think that this book doesn't apply to you if you're not a Christian, but once freedoms begin being taken away in America don't think that the ball will stop rolling here (remember Germany, and Hitler). If you want examples of battles that are being waged against Christianity, and your freedom to worship READ THIS BOOK! P.S. The very people who are in favor of silencing Christians DO NOT want you to read this book. They will attempt to trash this book by submitting 1 star ratings of it. IGNORE THEM -- READ THIS BOOK!
Rating: Summary: The Future of Freedom Review: David Limbaugh's book "Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianity" is a highly-detailed investigation of the current cultural war being waged against Christianity. The premise of Limbaugh's book is that although today's society preaches "tolerance" as the number one virtue of a civilized society, they reserve that tolerance strictly for groups other than Christians. For instance, if members of a minority group or a religion other than Christianity are persecuted or discriminated against, the mainstream media, the ACLU, and various other public interest groups will race to their defense. But if similar discrimination is directed toward Christians, the cultural attitude seems to be one of apathy, or worse yet, outright agreement and sanction of that discrimination. Limbaugh focuses on the American republic's Christian roots, and he particularly dissects the First Amendment's "establishment" and "free exercise" clauses - the two most often misunderstood tenets of American constitutional government. The author also points out the myth of the "separation of church and state" clause, which is conspicuously absent from the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. On the contrary, the separation of church and state concept derived from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson several years after the Constitutional Convention, and his phrase has often been taken out of context and used for political means. In a nutshell, Limbaugh sets out to prove that the Constitution's intent is not freedom "from religion", but freedom "of religion". Given the state of our current educational system, it comes as no surprise that these concepts are difficult for some Americans to grasp. Limbaugh also addresses that point. Nevertheless, Americans of all political stripes, religions, and walks of life should read this book for what it has to say about our culture, the state of our union, and ultimately, about freedom itself... Rating: Summary: About time Review: . This is no bleeding heart author looking for sympathy. Limbaugh's book is extraordinarily well documented and, as any conservative Christian can attest, hits the proverbial nail square on the head. ... Christians, however, should bear in mind that our liberty ultimately will never come from secular government. True liberty can be found in Christ. See Martin Luther's classic, Christian Liberty (available from a website).
Rating: Summary: Best Book Ever Written Review: I love this book, and i am buying it,after reading a small portion,it made me interested. During election, their has been so much hatred from liberals it is pathectic,no sense in it..I need a camcorder,& a tape recorder,so it can be played back to the liberals,to hear themselves be embarrassed..No christianity for them,They have their own laws and against gods' commandments,by refusing to know, and understand the truth..cause they don't want to.
Rating: Summary: Very Powerful Review: I, as a Christian, see how the things that David Limbaugh portrays in this book are coming true. The recent flap over the movie Passion of the Christ comes to mind. The liberal media is finally starting to realize that traditional values are very important to most decent Americans. As evidence, FOX News is now the most popular news source on TV by a wide margin. David Limbaugh has done a great job of supporting his findings. This book is very eye-opening and very chilling at the same time. This is one of the first books that I couldn't put down. Persecution does a great job of exposing the radical liberal left wing of the populace. I recommend this book to any body concerned about the Constitution and preserving our religous freedoms in this great country of ours.
Rating: Summary: Direct hit, and a definite must read. Review: Limbaugh is dead-on as he takes on the secularists and the rest of the theophobic/Christophobic Left in "Persecution." The Left is relentless in their efforts to tear down this country tradition by tradition as they seek to destroy the values, traditions and institutions that have made America great. It's time we woke up to the reality that "Separation" of church & state is a myth. The First Amendment merely prevents our government from establishing a state-run religion/church. It does not prohibit the public expression of any religion (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc.). It also says nothing to prohibit people of faith from participating in the political process, whether by voting for candidates who best represent our values or by actually jumping into the political arena itself and running for office. Limbaugh steps up to the plate and knocks one out of the park with this book, making sure that the Christophobes know that we are NOT going down without a fight.
Rating: Summary: We Christians Are Victims! Review: We Christians are victims! Victims! Poor us! Please smother us with pity. We represent only 85% of Americans, and we are being persecuted by the tiny minority. Somebody please save us. All we want is to erect our Christian symbols everywhere, force every American child to pray during school, and cram our moral values down everyone else's throat, and they won't let us. It's not fair, and those other people are big meanies. Waaaaaaaah.
Rating: Summary: Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianit Review: If you care about our nation's founding values and want to know how the radical, secular, left is slowly destroying these foundations - this is a must read! Your freedoms are at stake! Madison, the father of our Constitution, said, in Federalist 78, "...judges have neither force nor will ... they can set no active resolution what ever..." Judges under our Constitution have only judgement. When they start changing the original intent of our Constitution they violate the first word of our Constitution, Art.I, Section 1, and should be impeached and removed from office by Congress which is charged with maintaing the separation of powers. Article I, Section 1, says, "All legislative powers ... are vested in the US Congress."
Rating: Summary: The most craptacular book I have ever used as toilet paper Review: Drummond Lindbergh, or somebody, has gifted all of us in this great land with his screed, "Percoset Addiction," or whatever. This is an amazing work by an amazing man who is so amazingly untalented that the best he can do is grab on to his big brother's coattails and try to copy whatever he does. The fact that he can't even manage to rise to his brother's level in the industry of distorting, spinning, twisting, and just basically making crap up to sell to ignorant rubes tells you all you need to know about this guy. I had a pet hamster when I was a kid that could have typed a more logically sound book.
