Summary: The wrong people will read this book
Review: America is too deeply immersed in denial, fear and faux patriotism for this book to have the necessary impact. Kudos to Mr. Carville for having the guts and wisdom to write it, however.

Summary: Thumbs Up!
Review: James Carville is very good at what he does. He's a shrewd political strategist and a pretty good writer as well. This book is great and it offers a plan that will lead Bush II to be a one term president like his daddy.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Pleasureable Read
Review: I'm an independent that has been forced to the left due to the extremism of the Bush Administration. Bush makes Reagan look like a liberal. Anyway, I'd like to say that I read this book in five days, that is how good this book is. Carville outlines Bush's many failures and proposes alternative solutions. In the upcoming 2004 election, if Bush doesn't steal it again, I am predicting that this book will have a big impact on the Democratic party. If not, than the Democrats need to hire James Carville or buy this book.

Summary: the right man with the right answers
Review: i have always been a fan of mr carville especially when he is on cnn's crossfire. I like paul begala too but that is beside the point. I have finished this book and i truly recommend it for anyone who is tired of people on the left and the right bickering. not only does this man describe what is wrong with the current situation, he proposes solutions. what a concept! he also brings color to the book by talking about his family life and personal experiences. he also includes some delicious recipes that i want to try as well. he is not all gloom and doom like mr moore although i am a big fan of his as well.
i highly recommend this book for people who want solutions.b

Summary: Progressive Playbook on re-defeating Bush in 2004
Review: Republicans have been highly successful at advancing their agenda. Two big reasons contribute to this. One, is the shameless way Republicans fight in order to win. Two, while the Republicans are willing to fight dirty, the Democrats are too bush playing nice. The conflict between the right and the left closely resembles the American Revolution where the Republicans are using guerrila warfare against a Democratic party who are fighting like the redcoats did back in the late 1700s.

This is where James Carvile comes in. He calls on all progressives to come together in fighting the corporate/Republican machine. His book is filled with funny anecdotes, proposals, and solutions to getting our country back from the neo-conservative takeover of our government and into the hands of the people. Along the way, Carville debunks the myths perpetrated by the right-wing media and offers inspiration to all of the disaffected in joining with the side that brought you Social Security, Medicare, Labor laws, and the weekend. This book is a great read and a great buy.

Summary: A Liberal with Solutions
Review: The Democratic party seems to be going in circles. It knows something is very wrong with the Bush administration, but it is afraid to speak up. It this book, not only does Carville speak out against Bush, but he also gives solutions to the problems.

The rest of the world hates Americans right now. They hate us with good reason. Carville discusses these reasons such as specific treaties Bush has backed America out of. Carville gives ideas on how to mend these broken fences.

Carville takes a similar cause-solution approach to the environment, unemployment, economy, education, Iraq, Social Security, and other problems. Some of his ideas like an SUV tax would never gain popularity. Other ideas proposed by Carville are very relevant solutions.

As an educator, I particularly appreciate his chapter on education. Bush is ruining our schools. Most politicians think they are experts on schools just because they graduated. Unfortunately, these politicians are very wrong. Carville explores the very real problems of our schools, using credible sources for his information. The problem is not bad teachers as a lack of funding caused by cuts to education and increased standardized testing. Our children are not learning when they are constantly being tested!

If you are not afraid of the truth, this book should be enjoyable for you. It is another liberal/progressive masterpiece from James Carville.

Summary: Finally, a Left-Leaning Book with Brains!
Review: At last, I finally found it: a liberal who does more than blow his top and tear into his adverary.
This is a very smart book. Unlike most liberal literature, which are overwhelmingly reactionary, Carville's book is proactive. While pundits like Vidal, Choamsky and Michael Moore (arguably, my generations's most overrated writer) whose writings usually dull down to diatribes and bold conjectiure, Carville actually presents something all too rare in lefty commentary: viable and credible solutions!
While the other guys exhaust all of their energies launching "ad hominem" attacks on Pres. Bush (surely, these so-called experts can come up with something more constructive than 300 paged on why Bush is an idiot), Carville presents a plan! Unlike the other authors I mentioned, Carville's approach is such that his audience learns that they do have the power to influence the politcal process, rather than breeding a cynicism that eventually leads to apathy and ambivalence on Election Day.

The book is intelligent enough to sway a few conservatives.

Summary: How to add questions about "Good Bush"
Review: Easy to read and great! He gives good answers and tells you not to let those people get away with little nips at you about what a good job Bush is doing. We need to tell them the truth about the lies that Bush tells. This book is a big help.
