Summary: Not for the faint of heart
Review: This is a well written book about a group of very frightening people. It manages to describe their an almost unbelievable lifestyle without glamorizing them. After reading this book, you'll never look at a shower in quite the same way.

Of course this another book written from the perspective of an imformant who after years of profiting from his association with the people he betrays, justifies his involvment by describing himself as a good old boy who got involved with some "really" evil people.

Summary: murder machine delivers!
Review: murder machine, one of the better mafia books, does it's job of explicitly recounting the murderous trail of the roy deMeo crew.a street gang that later turned into new york's hitmen, the mafia's hitmen.dominick montiglio opens up to the authors about his life in the mafia and his gangster uncle, nino gaggi.murder machine tells the story of roy deMeo and his crew of killers.deMeo, desperate to be a made man, starts killing for the mafia's top bosses.he soon grows used to the feeling and kills for insignificant reasons, with no remorse.Even though dominick montiglio doesnt kill anyone,he grows tired of the life he's leading and decides to leave his past without success.Without revealing much,id say murder machine is a really great book.a book that keeps you on your toes till the last page.murder, betrayal, drugs, and more murder await you in this book!

Summary: MURDER MACHINE
Review: Murder Machine is an engrossing and chilling account of the steady descent into madnes of a violent gang of small time crooks terrorizing the Canaisaire section of Queens. This gripping and terrifying tale of greed, murder and mayhem will force the reader to reflect on the true nature of evil.

The authors, by refecting on the mindless brutality of common criminals, strips away the "glamorous" and "chic" facade of organized crime as portrayed by such films and television programs as the "Godfather" and the "Sopranos".

Such romantic notions as "honor" and "family" are blown away as a as easily as the victims of the psychopathic gang.

Summary: The opposite to The Godfather
Review: My guess is that the most read book about LCN is Mario Puzo's The Godfather - and this is another book about the Mafia, but it is the exactly opposite to The Godfather! This is the true story about the lowest level of LCN, some thugs in a street crew, and there are no glamour in this story - just a story about the most brutal hit men that probably ever have been operating on American soil.

Summary: best organized crime novel of all time

Summary: GREAT MAFIOSO BOOK - EVEN THIS GIRL LOVED IT!
Review: This book was very good. There were parts of the book that were very gory and disgusting, but I couldn't stop reading it! I am fascinated with all things mafioso. I you are interested in this area as I am, I strongly suggest you read this book. It gives an eye opening perspective of how truly barbaric the mafia can be. I also recommend, "Mafia Kingfish" by John Davis about Carlos Marcello of the New Orleans mafia. Carlos Marcello ran the oldest mafia dynasty in this country until his death in the eighties.

Summary: Best you'll ever read
Review: I have read every Mafia book in every store and library that I could ever get my hands on and not one book, except maybe for Gotti, which is by the same authors, comes near Murder Machine. The reporting and writing are above any I've come across on any subject I've read about. This is the best book you'll ever read.

Summary: True story of grisly murders in Brooklyn
Review: This book was a breezer. I read through this book in less than 2 weeks. It really sucks you in and makes you read more. The story and plots are real and that makes the book a lot better. The true story and the graphic way they explain the grisly murders catches your attention and makes you cringe. Just the way they killed people, it didn' t even bother them or make them feel sorry about what they had done. Truly, a great book for a mafia buff.
