Summary: Kids, don't try this at home
Review: I'm sorry if anybody who bought the book was looking forward to actual cooking- unless you happen to have strange tastes, this sort of cuisine explosive won't be much of a dinner treat.. too funny with the cat and all.. you are being such a cracker, and no mistake and cheerioh to Oxford. But let's get serious. As a pacifist myself myself I am strongly opposed to the idea that violence be in any way a legitimate means to any ends whatever, political or otherwise. Nonetheless this book is fun to read, a reminiscense of good old punk rock days and sometimes it can be quite cathartic to dream of blasting the establishment to pieces, waving Black Star flags and finally starting the DeeCeeFada, as long as you manage to get back to reality afterwards, in order to take on problems seriously. At first I wouldn't rate the book at all, but then gave it five stars to raise its average.

Summary: Great Book
Review: I had a copy of this book back in the early 70s and thought it might come in handy one day. I, too, became a christian, but finally got over it. Religion has killed, maimed, and destroyed more people and civilizations than this book could ever hope to. Besides, it is great reading. This book is a symbol of the freedoms we enjoy in this country and should not be censored or taken off the market. Just because you think Big Brother is not watching, does mean he isn't. Let the citizen beware.

Summary: Nothing Special
Review: You can find anything listed in this book on the internet. All you probably won't find is the crudely drawn or scanned images in the book. Worth little more than a conversation piece

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An Interesting Book
Review: The "Anarchist Cookbook" is full of useless but very interesting information. This book gave me tons useless knowledge but, it makes for very interesting conversations. Most of the instructions in this book are extremely hard and dangerous to perform. Some of the instructions are not descriptive enough and leave some questions unanswered. This book is excellent reading for entertainment purposes. And maybe if you have an extremely eventful and adventurous life you might use one thing that you learned. I do not suggest that you try any of the instructions in this book. This book makes fun reading and when placed correctly in you home can make for interesting conversations and maybe some nice rumors.

Summary: Watch For Copt Cats
Review: Although this book is the genuine thing, the internet sites contain dangerous recipies for certain bombs, DO NOT use those books, some were written by CIA officails and designed to explode during the process thus killing the bomb maker.

Summary: Good Book but...
Review: The Anarchist cookbook is a very interesting and entertaining book to read. i have the oroginal and most variations and unauthorized revisions. But i do not believe violence is the answer to gain our freedom from opression. I beleive education the american people on the hypocrisies within themselves is the key and making them understand how foolish it is to hate.

Summary: One hell of a book
Review: The "Anarchist Cookbook",by William Powell, provides more insight into late sixties, early seventies revolutionary thinking, than it does the "bad stuff" (bombs, weapons, etc.) which can be found in most librarys anyway. I found the introduction very interesting, as well as Powell's running commentary of government and society throughout the book. Although I don't agree with Powell's views, I believe in his right to express his views, as well as present this type of information. At the rate we're going, in 50 years your government may decide to outlaw this book, along with Catch-22, Brave New World, and Animal Farm.

Summary: The Anarchist's Cookbook
Review: It is unfortunate that we loose our sense of outrage and angst as we grow into adulthood. Such is the case of William Powell. The Anarchist's Cookbook is a masterpiece and a perfect example of what the freedoms of the Constitution gives us to speak what we wish. Sure the Anarchist's Cookbook is full of information that can lead to destruction and mayhem, but so can many other works of written information and frankly, if you surpress this book then you must surpress every single piece of information because our founding fathers did not fight and die for these freedoms so that one or two individuals can come and wipe it all away. I strongly am proud to live in a country where freedom of speech and expression is regarded higher than anything else. I am proud to call myself an American and believe that all information shouuld not be censored!

Summary: Anarchist Cookbook
Review: was at one time probably a very informative book. now this book is good for entertainment purposes only and shock value while sitting on your coffee table. dont try to use any of the information contained in this book. very dangerous

Summary: A Book that Suffers From Classic Misrepresentation
Review: The Anarchist's Cookbook should not ever be thought of as anything more than a reference book or a textbook. The usage of it as a manual for destruction is not what it should ever be used as. When it crosses the line, it is a dangerous, and destructive book.

That aside, I have to appluade William Powell (Despite the fact that he is now a devout christian...not that I have anything against religion...) I'm sure he hears lots of comments about the Anarchist's CookBook, but not even the fact that such controversial ideas are presented, but the fact in which that in this day and age (even if it was thirty years ago) he had enough guts (balls, whatever) to try to get something other than the norm published.

There is a bit of misrepresentation, though, as this book has nothing to do with Anarchy. Anarchy is the belief that there should be no structured government. Despite this, the Anarchist's CookBook has definitely got a following of people wholoudly proclaim themselves as ANARCHISTS, specializing in all things that go boom. The Anarchist's CookBook provides detailed instructions regarding plastic explosives, credit card fraud, hotwiring cars, and many other...er...potential felonies.

For those of you who have read or encountered Abbie Hoffman's STEAL THIS BOOK, I found the general feel to the Anarchist's Cookbook to mirror that of Hoffman's work. With any thought to rebelling against parents, the government, hell, even Amerika itself, I would highly recommend this book to get you thinking.
