Rating: Summary: L'Engle Is A Winner, Hands Down Review: The first time I experienced "A Wrinkle In Time" was in the sixth grade. After recess, our teacher would read to us as we rested (decompressed!) or drew pictures to illustrate the current chapter. Meg was the perfect companion to adventure; as recalcitrant as she may have seemed to others, she was ME. L'Engle gives healthy dose of hope and understanding for us oddballs, as well as a deeper, delightful truth for us all. I've read it dozens of times since then, and always find something new to love.
Rating: Summary: Very creative, and extremly original Review: I loved this book! It was imaginative, fresh, and new. This book was writen so well, you felt like you were there with Meg, Calvin, and Charles Wallace. It is a beatiful and funny at times, and the outcome of the book is very rewarding. Thank you, Madeleine L'Engle, for writing this book.
Rating: Summary: Top Selection for my Daughter Review: This was my favorite book growing up and tops the list as must reads for my Daughter who loves Harry Potter books.
Rating: Summary: §Amazing§ Review: This book was amazing(i would have gave 4 1/2 stars if i could)! Somehow this book allowed my non-scientific mind to understand the "tesseract". L'Engle's words used painted a perfect picture of the characters in the book. Great for any "adventure book" loving person.
Rating: Summary: Oh wow... Review: This book was VERY wonderful. The make believe sence makes it even better.I could not put it down.I found myself reading during class. The plot is so well planned and it keeps you into it until the end, insted of just ending the whole thing and then drawing it out.But in the begining its a bit confuseing. Some people just don't respect good science fiction. :)
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS GREAT! Review: I liked this book because it was an exciting adventure for Meg, Calvin, and Charles. You should read this book so you can have as much fun as I did! Hope you enjoy the book.
Rating: Summary: amazingly interesting book Review: The book is good because it made me want to get the rest of her books and I did.I thought that it would make other people read it and I was told by my mum's friend to give it to her son,who is my friend. This book made me want to read and I have started to read other novels like Harry Potter and C.S. Lewis's Narnia books.
Rating: Summary: My favorite book - Ten years running! Review: A Wrinkle In Time is definately the most creative, imaginative and dreamlike book I've ever read, and I've read it twelve times. The characters are so easy to relate to and the plot is mystifying. Exploring new worlds and fantasy creatures with Meg, Charles Wallace and Calvin is a memorable experience for both children and adults alike. Reading this book is like talking to the stars.
Rating: Summary: Good book, bad book Review: When i started reading A Wrinkle in Time, i was in sixth grade. I finished reading it about a week later, and was inspired to find some more of Madeline L'engle's wonderful little worlds. There were good and bad points to this book, i admit, but when i finished reading it i quickly found and read A Swiftly Tilting Planet, A Wind in a Door, and Many Waters. I kept these books as a treasure to find in years to come.
