Rating: Summary: Excellent exam guide Review: A clear and concise overview of what you need to know to pass the Network+ exam. The practice exams were amazingly accurate. You can't possibly fail!
Rating: Summary: Happy with product Review: After purchasing this book I read some reviews from users that were unhappy because the book was missing important information. Concerned I suplemented my study with Network+ Study Guide by David Groth. I did find information presented in the Network+ Study guide that was not in this Exam Cram book. I also supplemented my prepreation with Preplogic practice tests. I passed the exam first time with 766. I may have been lucky but my specific test did not have any questions that were not covered in the Exam Cram book.
Rating: Summary: Great Book.....! Review: Almost aced the exam and this book made it seem easy. In fact, I felt the book over prepared me for the exam which is a good thing. This book is all you need to pass with 3 exams (2 in the back of the book and 1 on the CD). Welcome Back Exam Cram2!
Rating: Summary: Everything you need to the test with Typos Review: Basically its everything you need for the test, broken down into eleven chapters with practice tests after each and two final tests at the end.The only problem is the typos. Come on guys, second edition. Sometimes its the incorrect answer to a question. Just make sure to mix this book with some free tests from someone else's site online.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: Covers everything you need to pass Comptia's N10-002 exam. Highly recommended! I just passed one myself with an excellent score!
Rating: Summary: The one study guide you truly need Review: For past certification tests by Comptia (A+ and others), I relied on Syngress press books, and everytime I was somewhat dissappointed by the thin content, and inaccurate test questions. So for the Network+ exam I decided to try out the Exam Cram books and I was very pleasantly surprised. The emphasis is on the word CRAM. This book, though small, and compact, is crammed with useful information. This book truly epitomizes the idea of cramming as much information as you need for a test, without wasting time on frivolous or misleading details. I really found this book to be a tremendous help, and was the only source I relied on for the test. If you are planning on taking this test, or if you need a useful quick reference book for work, definitely definitely consider this book. It is time and money well spent. :)
Rating: Summary: This is the book you need Review: I am so grateful that I bought this book, it really worth every penny I spent.
Anyone who has A+ equivalent knowledge and supplement this book with practice test will pass the Network + exam if not blame it on your self. All I did was truly read this book and understood exactly what it meant and when I test myself on practice exam I was already scoring high. I pass my exam with scoring over 800 thanks to this book.
Rating: Summary: Good last minute review Review: I do have real world experience and education in the field so I used this book basically as a refresher for the Network + test. The book did this job well. I read the book over and over for about 3 weeks and I feel it did a good job in getting me ready for the test. There are some typos in the books that should be corrected. This book does not cover all the questions that are on the exam. A few questions had me scratching my head. All in all I think if you either have some experience in the field or a computer educational background along with this book you should have no problem on the test. I received a 806/900 and this was the only book I used to study with.
Rating: Summary: Concise Coverage of Exam Goals Review: I give this book 5 stars because it does what it sets out to do -- allow you to pass the Network+ exam. If that's your goal, this is the book for you. If, however, you are looking to ace the exam and gain real-world applicable knowledge, you'll be better off augmenting this material with another book. For study, I used only this book and the "Network+ Training Guide" by Mike Harwood (not knowing that this book is an abbreviated version of that one -- which is definitely is), along with 6+ years in the IT industry to score an 873 out of 900 on the Network+ exam. So although most of the material presented in this book was review, I found myself thinking, "oh, yeah -- that was covered in one or both of those books" for 95%+ of the questions that I encountered on the exam. In short, if you've got some experience in IT and just want a book that'll give you an outline of what's expected of you on the exam, this is it. If you need a little more in-depth information, "Network+ Training Guide" by Mike Harwood is for you.
Rating: Summary: This THE tool to pass Network+ Review: I got 886 out of 900 and this is the book I used. Nuff said. The information is organized clearly, and systematically follows CompTIA's exam objectives Domain by Domain. On a side note, The Prep Logic CD's test is WAY harder than the real thing. If you get 72% on the Prep Logic test, you will definately ace the real thing.
