Summary: Introduces open minds to an alternative explanation
Review: I completely enjoyed listening to Dr. Weiss' voyage into the world of reincarnation. This was my first Weiss book, and I will assuredly listen to his other audiobooks. Although a novice on the subject of reincarnation, I found the book very informative and educational. Dr. Weiss takes you along on this journey through his sessions with a patient. Unknowingly, he discovers that the patient's ailments are linked to past lives. The skeptic in him becomes a believer. Traditional ideas and rules of thought are important in our lives and development, but they cannot explain everything. Dr. Weiss introduces his readers to an alternative explanation of our lives, souls, and even death. I was only sorry that it was abridged (one tape - 90 minutes).

Summary: Complete personal evolution cannot be done in one lifetime.
Review: Brian Weiss reaches into the mind of one human being and witnesses humanity. The teachers help to explain some of the complexities of the work we must do. Brian's initial scepticism is comforting. We are reassured that he does not accept blindly.. This book validates the truths I've seen and been taught through Spritualism.

Summary: Very credible book about the subject of past lives.
Review: I found Dr. Weiss's book to be the most credible that I've read on the subject. It helped relieve my fear of dying, and sparked an interest in me in the possible healing potential of past life regression.

Summary: a very weak and misleading book
Review: I will not discuss the merits of past-life therapy or if reincarnation is true. I will address my comments about how Dr. Weiss wants to make Christianity into a religion that supports or supported reincarnation. On page 35 he says how in 325 all references to reincarnation were removed from the Bible. He does NOT give any support for this. Why people who believe in reincarnation want to re-write history and make unfounded claims about what the Bible says about it is beyond me. Reincarnation is not christianity- they are two different and oppostite belief systems. Dr Weiss was very sloppy in his historical account of church history- In fact he makes it up. This one instance of historical falsehood is an example of of the total lack of verification that is so abundant in his book.

Summary: Less than it appears
Review: There is much in this book that might console any searcher, but anyone who believes it literally hasn't learned very much in his or her past lives. In the first remembered "incarnation" related in this book, the patient finds herself in a past life and identifies the year as 1863 B.C. Uh, exactly how could someone living in that year identify it as "B.C."? Weiss doesn't ask; I hope readers do. In fact, Weiss is constantly amazed by "specifics" that are vague (ask yourself how often Catherine is able to pinpoint a location or an event in such a way that it could be verified; answer: never), "truths" that are commonplace, and "knowledge" that has no foundation except that Catherine says it. Repeatedly he refers to words like "proofs" and "scientific" without--even once--providing an example of anything approaching scientific inquiry. The point is not that science is the arbiter of all truth; the point is that Weiss himself calls science as a witness--and then doesn't ask it any questions. He relies on the adjective "scientific" to carry his argument, just as he relies on the word "proof." There are indeed great spiritual truths, but they are not so easily won as this. There are other and better ways to discover that faith, hope, and love are the essence of life, which is all that Weiss finds out. Gee, amazing.

Summary: Absolutely fantastic
Review: I found this book simply enthralling. Everything that was said I could accept fully. It is good to see some really positive writing about this subject.

Summary: This book has given me a whole new peaceful outlook on life.
Review: I couldn't put the book down once I started reading. It validated many of the thoughts I have felt for years. I'm sure I have lived before. I also am comfortable in my beliefs now, and don't feel that it contradicts my Christian beliefs, which was a conflict for a long time. I am so happy to know I have been right all along. I am now looking forward to reading "Through Time into Healing". Thanks, Dr.Weiss - my life means even more than it did before. God Bless You.

Summary: For anyone who suspected, but didn't know where to turn...
Review: I always knew that there was something more to my exixtence. My belief in karma has been with me always, and Dr Weiss further helped me believe. This is a must read for all those who have more than just a mere suspicion. Thank you Dr Weiss.
