Summary: Great Book!
Review: I am 17 year old senior in high school, who lives in North Carolina. I was asked to read this book as a grade in my VHS course. I don't really believe in the whole religion thing. But, I must say, This book speaks to every religion background. I noticed some Buddhist principals among the words of wisdom, which every sentence is overflowing with. To thoroughly understand this book, one would need to go thorough and find the symbolism hidden in each sentence. I'm thankful for reading this book. It has given my lungs new air to breathe and showed me to take time out and enjoy my life for what it really is and to make the best out of it. I think people, alone with myself should stop and smell the daises, and even ask, "why do daises smell so great?"

Summary: Illusions
Review: The book Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah was a great book with an incredible lesson. To be quite honest, I was not looking forward to reading the book. I am a senior and I have a lot going on with the college search, senior activities, and many of the other normal senior stresses. I felt that this book would be just a waste of my time and that there were probably some more productive things I could be getting done with my time. I couldn't have been more wrong. This book helped me to slow down and remember to take a look at the things around me. It made me relies that the college search is just one small part of a bigger plan and I shouldn't let it stress me out so much. It opened my eyes and helped me to see the world in a different way. I think this book is good for anyone hoping to expand there mind and see the world from another angle.

Summary: Illusions
Review: The book Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach is a story I had to read for school. To be honest I wasn't that excited. I am a senior and I have been extremely busy planning my future and deciding where I am going to college and what I am going to do with my life. I felt that reading this book would probably just be a waste of my time. I couldn't have been more wrong. This book opened my eyes and taught me to look at the world in a way I never had before. It taught me to slow down and just live. I got to the point where I didn't want to finish the book because I enjoyed reading it so much. The book helped me to relax and to calm down. I realized that I shouldn't be so stressed out and that the college search is a time to enjoy yourself. The book really made me see things clearer than I had before. This book should be read by anyone and everyone but especially those who want to expand the way of thinking and let there soul go places it never has.

Summary: "Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah"
Review: Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah, is one of those books that once you pick up, you never want to put down! It is about a man named Richard who makes his living by giving rides to people in his biplane. He meets a man named Donald, the first person he has met that does the same thing for a living that he does. Richard learns that Donald was once a Messiah, but has 'quit' because people are not interested in hearing what he has to say, but only in the miracles that he performs. Donald teaches Richard that he is in charge of his life, and to look beyond what he thinks he can't do...the impossible becomes possible if he sees it that way. The quotes in the "Messiah's Handbook: Reminders for the Advanced Soul' are inspirational and can be used in everyday life. One of the assignments that came along with reading this book was: think of a problem we were having in life, open "Illusions" to any page, and the answer to our problem would be there. I have to say, I wasn't so sure that this was going to work, but I tried it anyway. Sure enough, what I read on the page put me at ease with what had been going on in my life! The quote read, "If your happiness depends on what somebody else does, I guess you do have a problem." I recommend this book to anyone with an open mind and a free spirit!

Summary: Inspiring
Review: The book that I have recently read, Illusions: The Adventure of a Reluctant Messiah, by Richard Back is one of the most inspiring books that I have ever read. It gave me a great understanding of all the things in the world that are happening all the time. If everyone had the Messiah handbook, I think that we would all be better off on understanding life. This book is not only great, but all of the philosophies are great ways of looking at life.

Summary: Amazing Book
Review: "Illusions" is a book with lots of concepts and ideas to understand, but it puts these ideas in such easy to understand and concise words that it's really fun to read. And it doesn't take very long to read either :-) I truly enjoyed this book!

Summary: Thought provoking books.
Review: I pull my tattered paperback copy of this book and read it almost yearly. I find new meaning each time that I open it. The wisdom is compelling and inspired; the premise is novel and worthy of suggesting to anyone who is searching for understanding in a world where many things seem to happen at random. The writing is simple and plainspoken. It is certainly not an all encompassing book of truth, but it lends yet another piece in place... to the puzzle.

Summary: Trite or Deep?
Review: I choose deep. This book spoke to me at a time I needed speaking to. It's one of those most wonderful of parables in that it speaks to many people on many levels, and none of what's said is wrong. I loved the single line bits of wisdom and advise interspersed throughout the book (my favorite: If you're still alive, your mission must not be done.), but the theme I needed to hear was the most glorious thing about the Father's plan is that it's all up to us. It's our choice, and not even God's current Messiah will force us. He must, indeed, love his children.

I absolutely recommend this book. It may open some doors; it may close some; it may inspire or it may irritate accepted theology, but it's not a waste. Bach, like the reluctant student, tells us that this book kept pushing him and pushing him until he finally gave in and wrote it. No matter; he still had a choice.
