Summary: If it is by Sylvia, read it!
Review: If you have read other Sylvia Browne books then this book may be a review of a lot of information already provided, however the subject matter is worth rereading. After reading all of her books to date, I wonder what it would be like to live without this wondrous knowledge. It makes living life so much more understandable. Instead of always asking myself why such things have to happen, I have answers for exactly why they had to happen! There is some new information here, for example, when trying to grasp what it looks like on the Other Side, Sylvia helps to paint the beautiful picture. It is definitely worth your short time here on earth to read this book.

Review: WOW!!!!! I can't say enough good things about this book. I've read some good books in the past, but none that explained some of the things that have happened to me. I read the entire book in 1 day. I just couldn't put it down. Next time you need a book, buy THIS ONE!! I already know of three or four people whom I will pass my copy along to. I think it will help them as much as it helped me. I just can't say enough good things. There's not enough space to say all that's on my mind. Ignore the bad reviews. I think Sylvia knows what she's talking about.

Summary: take it or leave it
Review: sounds like the reader from England is showing off too much. Stop parading your knowledge, even if the Camillus reader keeps changing the questions. Sylvia Browne is a top psychic and writer. She has nothing to prove and everything she says can be believed or not believed. It makes no difference to her. Follow your own heart and the answers will be found. God teaches us in His own way.

Summary: Good questions asked by the reader from Syracuse / Camillus
Review: ... and love is the answer.

In this book, Brown explains the perfection of God's divine plan, and shows how our lives on earth fit in with the scheme of the bigger picture. Browne shows that love is the nature of our Source, and love is the purpose of our lives.

The questions asked by the reader below show that he/she has yet to appreciate the nature of love, and misunderstands the meaning of "perfection" from within the context of the bigger picture. Just because negativity exists, doesn't mean that God's Creation is imperfect or flawed. On the contrary. God knows that by allowing His children to freely walk their own path, and experience negativity, we can develop further in soul-stature and strength, and grow into maturity and soul-perfection of a more substantial and deeper nature than if we never experienced pain or tribulation at all.

Love always has the beloved's highest good in mind. Only by experiencing darkness, are we able to FULLY appreciate and cherish the fruits and goodness of the Light of the Other Side. Even though there are risks and vulnerabilities involved in love, (which can be understood even from the human level of self-giving love), Browne shows that God's love is eternal, and that the ULTIMATE outcome of God's plan is assured. Love will prevail, and all our woes and pains will be redeemed forever, transformed into strength, wisdom and spiritual empowerment.

God allows His children to walk their own path, because that's what love does. The dark side, and also physical realms such as earth, are all part and parcel of God's Creation - the overall purpose of which is perfect, flawless, all-wise and beneficent. As the philosopher said in Ecclesiastes, "There is a season and a time for every purpose under Heaven." All our tribulations and adventures add more to our soul's perfection and spiritual-fibre than if we didn't experience them at all. (This is basic soul-logic, commonly known as "wisdom".)

The principle that God knows the future doesn't undermine the concept of free will. The key to understanding lies in distinguishing the difference between our perspective and God's. From our perspective we are free, and are in the position to sow, create and do whatever we choose. Here we find freedom in life. Yet from God's perspective, what we're about to choose, create and do is already known by God - even before we do it. (This shouldn't surprise us, because God is omniscient, and possesses infallible knowledge of everything.)

The reader below asked some very good and intelligent questions.

As always, love is the answer.

Summary: Answers to a reader from Syracuse
Review: The answers to the questions asked in the review below are already contained in the book, as follows.

(1) "If the Other Side is all-perfect and all-good, then why does earth exist?" Browne says that the purpose of physical environments such as earth is for us to incarnate and experience negativity in order to build spiritual muscle and promote wisdom and growth. It would be difficult to build spiritual muscle in a challenge-free environment (the Other Side), so we choose to come to earth to face challenges and trials, in a similar way that we would take trips to the gym on earth to build physical muscle. A life on Earth enables us to advance spiritually quicker than we advance by living exclusively on the Other Side.

(2) "What is the Dark Side?" Browne says that The Dark Side is a place where misguided souls reside for a while. Even though the Other Side is perfect and good, we all have free will. If we had no free will, then we would be conditioned, like robots, to constantly live in the Light of the Other Side. This would run contrary to principles of love, as love will always endow the beloved with freedom of choice. God IS love, and the polarity of Light (the Dark Side) must necessarily exist in order for the full scope of Wisdom to exist. Browne says that souls take themselves to the Dark Side by freely exercising evil, and thus experiencing the results of their karma, (i.e. action - cause and effect - of free choice.) The book says that souls cannot reside in the Dark Side forever, however, because God loves all His children. As Jesus expressed in the parable of the prodigal son, God waits for us patiently with open arms, and we will eventually return to the Light, which is our heritage.

(3) Browne says that before incarnating on earth, we undergo a process that guarantees that we will accomplish the goals that we set ourselves. Browne also says that these goals span over multiple lives, and that we will often return from an incarnation to the Other Side with a feeling of "unfinished business". We then feel impelled to incarnate again to carry on accomplishing our goals, in a step-by-step manner, taking us closer to accomplishing the ultimate goal - soul-perfection and God-enlightenment. We can have as many lives on earth as we wish, and all our goals will ultimately be accomplished. Thus, it is guaranteed. We cannot escape our destiny.

(4) As to Browne's references to the Bible, well, individual interpretations of the Bible are as varied and subjective as people are varied and subjective. Let us seek our own inner-wisdom, ask God for guidance, and be at peace with our own personal interpretation, while keeping an open mind, and a willingness to learn and expand.

We can broaden our scope and understanding of life on the Other Side by turning to books such as 'A World Beyond' by Ruth Montgomery, 'Reaching to Heaven' by Van Praagh, and 'Journey of Souls' by Michael Newton.

Andy

Summary: Questions
Review: First of all there is the question of perfection- If god is perfect and the other side is perfect, there is no crime or suffering of any kind as browne claims then why does earth exist? Browne says that all of us originally came from the other side. If we as other siders and the other side itself predate the earth then what for earth? In a place that is perfect and all good there can not be any negativity. There is no reason to experience negativity in a place that is already perfect. If we have to experience negativity to increase our spiritual muscle then this is saying that god is not perfect and that god screwed up in making the other side. Second-What is the dark side suppossed to be? Browne says a number of times that the other side is perfect and that god is perfect- how can there be a willfull turning away from god in a place that is perfect, created by a perfect being. Perfection is the abscence of flaws and imperfections. Essentially if a being turns away from god then god is not the perfect creator and the other side is imperfect. Browne says in the book that every person has a scroll and that you can look at this scroll and see any event that happened in the past or any event that will happen in the future. If such scroll s exist then they automatically cancel out free will. If your future is written down in a scroll then you can't change what is going to happen to you. If god is the author of the scrolls then he would have to be omniscient. If he is omniscient, but we are able to take a different course than is written in the scrolls then god has made a mistake. Some people make the claim that if no one looks at the scrolls then free will comes back into play, but this is not so. The fact that the scrolls exist means that someone has already determined how your life will go hence you have no free will. If the scrolls are written concurrently with your life then you cannot merge with the scroll to look in to the future because the future hasn't been written yet. Again if you are able to break from what is written in the scrolls then the author of the scrolls is wrong and sylvia browne is being deceived with false information. Third-Again this point goes back to the problem of perfection. Browne describes a process on the other side that GUARANTEES(I stress that word because that is the word Browne uses in the book) that when we are reincarnated we will accomplish all the goals that we set for ourselves. Browne says that with a team of others this process is perfected and can take any amount of time and that the decision to reincarnate can be abandoned if the prospective person decides the incarnation wouldn't work or the goals could not be accomplished. Obviously if you end up going to the dark side your team didn't work hard enough. So again with this description why does the dark side exist and how could a turning away from god happen in a place of perfection? PERFECTION IS THE ABSCENCE OF FLAWS AND IMPERFECTIONS. NEGATIVITY IS A FLAW in a place that is all good and perfect. We have no reason to experience negativity. In a perfect place we should already have perfect spirituality we should already have "soul perfection and god-enlightenment." If someone goes to the dark side then the other side is not perfect and god did not create a perfect place. And Sylvia browne is being fed false information. Fourth-Brownes citing of biblical passages "proving" reincarnation is deceptive. She takes the passages out of the context in which they were written. The passage reads "before the silver cord is snapped and the golden bowl is broken." The golden bowl suspended by the silver cord was a symbol of life. When the cord is snapped and the bowl smashes upon the ground life is extinguished-this is a symbol of death. The reference to the passage of Jesus healing the blind man where the apostles ask Jesus if the man or his parents did something to cause this, (Browne omits the rest of the passage.)This passage about Jesus is not subjective Jesus says right in John chapter nine verse 3 "Neither he (the blind man) nor his parents sinned, it is so that the works of god may be made visible through him. I could go on and on, there are so many contradictions in this book, but I'll end it here. (...)

Summary: very good!
Review: I think that Sylvia's book is a great read. And very genuine. Yeah, it does tell me everything I want to hear, but shouldn't that be what heaven is all about. It wouldn't be heaven if it wasn't as good as she says it is. Sylvia has definitly proven herself. I would recommend this book to people with an open mind, and people that dont use stupid arguments like 'oh she is just trying to make money', and people that dont already decide wheather they believe or not before they even read the first page, and to people with common sense, and to mature people. Because most of the bad reviews come from immature people who said exactly what my 14 year old friend said (hes very immature)
