Rating: Summary: I really enjoyed this book Review: I have read most of Nora Roberts' books and find this one is right up there with others like Montana Sky. I really enjoyed the Irish connection here...the magic of faeries and ghosts. It was a terrific read. I think what I enjoyed most was the interaction between all the young women in the story. At times I laughed out loud. Their banter was affecting. I look forward to the next in the trilogy
Rating: Summary: This is the Nora Roberts writing I love... Review: Nora Roberts can write a billion more books like this one. I most enjoy her romance books. When she goes into mystery or plots where the romance is secondary I haven't enjoyed those books as much. In fact I was concerned the author was taking a break from the romance genre.I love the characters, a woman running from an unsatisfying life and finding love and herself in the process. Who wouldn't fall in love with the wonderful man in the book. We can all dream these guys exist (and stay that way!). I look forward to reading the other two stories in this trilogy. Nora Roberts' book trilogy featuring the Quinn brothers was also enjoyable reading. Check it out if you haven't read them. Thanks Nora for another fine romance!
Rating: Summary: Wade in deeper to find a wonderful story. Review: The story's lack of easy answers makes it an engaging tale. I enjoyed this book as well as its sequel.
Rating: Summary: This is one of my favorite Nora Roberts novels! Review: I just can't say enough things about this book! This book makes me want to hop onto a plane and go to Ireland and find a man like Aidan! I read the book in two days because I was so caught up in the story that I just couldn't put it down. I was amused and annoyed with both Jude's and Aidan's stubbornness. It only added to the magic of their story. I laughed in quite a few spots, and felt Aidan and Jude's pain and fears. After this book all I have to say is bring on Shawn and Brenna!
Rating: Summary: Perfection. Review: Nora Roberts has written more than the typical romance novel; she has woven a love story that reminds you of all the sweetness of falling in love. An astonishing storyteller, Roberts is equally capable of rendering a captivating plot as she is of painting a village so peaceful and charming it makes you want to sell your house and move to Ireland. Having spent time living in Ireland, I have to say that Roberts's depiction of the people and the place are nothing short of amazing. The way that she recreates the feeling of the land, of the people that inhabit it, made me love the story for its ability to take me back there as much as for the story itself. One might scoff at her liberal use of spirits and fairies, but if you have ever been to Ireland, you know that the place radiates a feeling that makes anything seem possible. There is a quality unique to the lush green landscape that makes believing much more logical and natural than disbelieving, and Roberts has captured that perfectly. Likewise, the Irish are very much as she describes in her book: kind to strangers, amiable and full of laughter, witty and clever to distraction. The dialogue in the book just rolls off the pages with an Irish lilt, and to read her characters's words was like finding myself back on the jeweled isle once more. Although you may not find an Aidan or have a wild love affair if you should go visit Ireland, rest assured that the people and the place are exactly as Roberts tells it. Nora Roberts is a wonderful storyteller and I loved the story as much as I loved her choice of settings. Jude is a very real character with so many doubts and hesitations that are in each of us, and I was startled more than once by Roberts's ability to hit it right on the nail. Jude's character develops very nicely and believably, and I was pleased that love is not used as a convenient device to solve all problems. Jude and Aidan come together (of course), but not without Jude first coming to the truth of who she is as an individual. Aidan is a wonderful character, and his words made me laugh as often as they made my heart melt away. The other characters in the book are equally intriguing and interesting in their own right, and I loved how Roberts incorporated the Irish folktales into the story. This is a blissfully sweet love story, a fairytale to read and treasure.
Rating: Summary: A true jewel. Review: I had never read a Nora Roberts books before. However, some of my friends had and were not exactly pleased with what they had read. They said she was not consistent. Some books were good, others you just couldn't get into. Well, let me tell you. I LOVE this series. I couldn't put this book down and I couldn't wait until its sequel came out. I read Tears of the Moon in less time that Jewels of the Sun and now I must wait again for her final installment. I have passed both books on to my friends and they have all enjoyed them. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Nora Roberts for such wonderful books. They are easy to read and you feel as tho you are a living part of her story. I plan to read some of her other books...but I may have been spoiled by what may be her best series of books. We'll see.
Rating: Summary: Jewels of the sun Review: This was one fantastic book. It really kept my attention. I followed up with Tears of the moon and I can't wait for her 3rd book. I highly recommend these books to everyone who enjoys romance.
Rating: Summary: Jewels of the Sun Review: I was swept away to Ireland and into a world of romance. The legends were wonderful. It was a quick read as I had a hard time putting it down. Someday I will visit Ireland, its a must now. My only request is to make the books a little longer. This book is second only to the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
Rating: Summary: I PACKED AND READY TO GO - THIS BOOK IS A JEWEL! Review: Nora Roberts keeps us happy with all the romance, fun, and adds a bit of magic all in one book. The story was great and I couldn't put it down! I laughed and cried, and was ready to kiss the Blarney Stone when I finished. Waiting for the next two. Thanks again for your magic brew, Nora, you're the BEST!
