Rating: Summary: Don't Rush out and buy this! Review: Well, I had great expectations about this book, but they weren't fulfilled. This story just doesn't have the humor or emotional intensity that used to be so typical of Nora's books. I not sure what is going on. I was disappointed in her last three hardbacks, and now a series book. I am about ready to give on Nora's books. The hero in this book is just too self-centered. In his shape changer role as a wolf, he spies on the heroine while she bathes, undresses, etc. Maybe this was suppose to be humorous? The heroine is just benign. Suppressed by her strictlaced parents, and former boyfriend she escapes to find herself. The conflict in the story is weak. Hero is attracted to heroine, and realizes that this may be a way of bypassing his heritary elfin responsibilities. He not sure he wants the job. For him to accept the role he must mate with a woman of elfin blood. So if he falls in love with a mortal woman, then he can't assume the role. But wait, the heroine may or may not have elfin blood. Also characters are mentioned from her previous books in this series, and the children's names are different. Which by itself is a minute irritation but combined with the book's mediocrity resulted in a disappointing read.
Rating: Summary: A Different Twist -- But Still Nora Roberts Good Review: This book was a little different than Nora Roberts usually is. However, I found that after I got used to the idea of magic in the book, it was a romance at heart, with a little magic on the side.
Rating: Summary: a book to cherish Review: I have just finished reading Enchanted by Nora Roberts the Donovan Legacy. I read the other three stories years ago. But when I started reading Enchanted, it was just like I had read them the other day. If you love magic and romance than read the Donovan Legacy and then read Enchanted, you will love them I promise you. Blessed be fellow readers.
Rating: Summary: It was magical! Review: "Enchanted" is absolutely spellbinding. It was wonderful to sink into this romantic story. From the gorgeous scenery to the passionate characters, Nora casts a spell on her readers. Don't miss this one.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful, magical love story Review: Nora Roberts has done it again. She's written a beautiful, magical love story and we all need a little magic in our lives. When I read the last page, I turned back to the first page and read the whole book again at one sitting. I had read Captivated, Entranced and Charmed, and didn't think she could outshine them but she did in Enchanted. If you haven't read any of these books, you're missing a great read.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful. Review: This is an amazing story. I loved Liam and Rowan and was so glad to see the old Donovans. It was a great read and I hope that Nora writes more about this family.
Rating: Summary: wonderful book won't put down till the last page Review: This book was not what I thought of when I thought of Nora Roberts. It was a wonderful page turner
Rating: Summary: Enchanted Review: I found this book to be mildly entertaining but not as good as the last two books in "The Donovan Legacy". The hero, Liam, is a witch who has the ability to shapeshift, and spends much time in the early chapters in the shape of wolf. In this form he keeps company with Rowan, a confused woman who's in the woods "searching for herself". When Liam revealed himself to her I was hoping she'd be a lot more angry with him! He had watched her undress, bathe, sleep, and he slipped into her mind to dream with her. Perhaps this book would have gotten 1 more star had Rowan been less mild a heroine. She herself refers several times to how she has no pride -- that's for sure! But all in all the book is a worthwhile read if you have already read and enjoyed the other Donovan books.
Rating: Summary: Falling Point Review: There's this girl named Rowan who goes into the woods. She meets a guy who also lives their. They happen to fall in love. Thing is both won't adimit their feelings. Turns out this guy is a Donovan. Then another thing seperates them other then there stubberness to admit thier feelings.
I picked this book up and couldn't put it down. But at two thirds down the plot started to fail in keeping me interested. Roberts is a great writer, but this book stopped it's great uphill work and went straight down.
Rating: Summary: Breathtakingly Romantic Review: Once I've got into the story, I could not lay it down for even just 2 minutes. It is breathtakingly romantic. The love between Rowen and Liam's wolf form is so touching and intoxicating. The little plays between them, the hug, the nuzzle and the kiss all display a profound love scene. The description of love-making through minds is so amazing that I could not help to appeal to God--Please make this possible earthly! The romantic story is weaved between magic and ordinary life. It reminds readers the responsibilities they have for their own living, for the one they love and for society. But on the other hand, it also reminds us that some time and fun for ourselves may not only be inconflict with our responsibility, but may even help us to accomplish it better. Hope you all enjoy this book as much as I do.
