Summary: Book for the romance lover, absolutely fantastic.
Review: I heard Linda Howrad is good. I found it is true in this book. I hate the ordinary romance book heroin who is innocently stupid, and stupidly stubborn to make trouble. Gillian is capable, intelligent and strong ( physically and emotionaly ). She can handle the tough guy who try to bully her. At first the hero seemed to be a drunken jerk trying sexual harassment to any women. But after all I forgave him. He became a rather attractive tough guy who care for the heroin. I like this book because it's not " love in a first sight" kind. I think it's more convincing that love is grown over the time for which they share and get to know each other. I love their witty dialogue and their really sensual love scene. I don't usually reread romance book, but I think I'll read this book any time soon. If you haven't read it yet, go get a copy of it. And enjoy your own love adventure.

Summary: EXCITEMENT ABOUNDS
Review: WOW. I mean we are talking about Linda Howard so it has be be great, but WOW. A fast paced adventure/treasure hunt through the Amazon with LH's signature tough/macho man in the lead and a strong determined woman right behind him (and sometimes in front of him). Sexual tension with a capital S. Get it. You'll love it, and it will go on the shelf with the rest of your LH collection to be read again and again. GREAT STORY!

Summary: Wonderful!!!
Review: This book was.....well, wow. It was not your typical Romance. Heart of Fire was totally action packed with love scenes hot enough to scorch. Ben and Jillian were perfect for each other. Jillian was not a simpering moran who cryed at the slightest upset. I admired her strength continually through-out the book. Ben at first just really made me angry. He seemed to be just a good looking guy who drank to much and tried to get into every girl's pants. But by the end of the book he had changed completly. He became a very strong caring man, who really wanted the best for Jillian. So readers, get your hands on this book. I promise you that you won't be disapointed.

Summary: Passion, humor, and suspense! WOW!
Review: "Heart of Fire" is one the few books where I can say I liked the bantering between the characters. Most romance novels have the characters fall into bed together after the first few chapters. The way the love between theses two grew was amazing to witness because it was believable. It also has passion, humor, and suspense.

At the beginning, Jillian Sherwood finds an old map that her father, a shunned archeologist, left behind for her. She needs to go on this expedition to clear her father's name. To do this, she needs money, and an experienced guide. Unfortunately, to get the money, she needs her brother, which opens up a can of worms, with a corrupt man only out for the money and a hired killer.

As for the guide, she gets Ben Lewis. He's experienced, smart, and it doesn't hurt that he's a hunk. At first meeting, he and Jillian hate each other due to their impressions of each other. He thinks she's a prude, and she thinks he's a drunk and womanizer. However, during their dangerous trek into the unknown, they discover each other and find love in the process.

This is not a stereotype romance novel. It has so many more elements than just the two main characters, though that was great. Added to this is behind-the-scenes work by some criminals, sibling rivalry, and an old Amazon myth. It is a must read for all those who like romance and action. The way that Jillian leads Ben around has me cheering her on. She is such a strong and courageous woman! And she has to be, otherwise Ben would never fall for her. He thinks he wants easy women, but that is the last thing Jillian is. Ben is the perfect man for her because he is protective of Jillian, though she can hold her own with him. The part where he tricks her into doing his laundry, and the way she gets revenge on him is one of the best parts of the book.

I highly recommend this book!

Summary: Amazons
Review: The last romance that I read was really horrible, so this one, in contrast, looks like sheer genius. What it actually is underscores the things that I do appreciate about good romance novels.

Things that Linda Howard does right includes creating well-defined and interesting characters. In this case, her ambitious archaeologist heroine and rough-neck river guide hero are well-suited for building tension during a danger-filled trek up the Amazon Basin.

Howard's intelligence as a writer shines in her restraint. Her straight-forward narration works well for this adventure story; no showy vocabulary, she uses her language like a professional. There's also an unusual amount of violence for a romance, but it is appropriate considering the manner in which she develops the bad guys.

Mind you, the supporting characters aren't particularly complex, and the circumstances that ultimately drive the heroine into the hero's arms may seem a little dubious. Nevertheless, this was my first Linda Howard novel, and I will probably be out looking for more now.

Summary: If you haven't read do!
Review: I started reading the book on a saturday afternoon and was finished by that evening. I stoped only to use restroom and fix sandwich. Ben oh Ben was a excellent fictional character man of my dreams, didn't take crap from anyone. She was a strong female and like her very much, not a female/male type of women that a lot of these writers put into their books. I really recommend this book, but also have another one handy because you will finish this within a day. Good reading love Linda Howard's books.

Summary: Exciting romance in a new setting.
Review: Finally, a romance that covers new ground! I loved the Amazon setting, and the archeological stuff was interesting. As always, Howard does a great job with her characters and the romance. Plus, the plot was unusually engaging. For once the heroine's motivation for putting herself in peril actually made some sense.

Summary: Another hit from Linda!
Review: This is another great book from Linda Howard. A strong, smart, cool, no nonsense heroine, and a very sexy, strong, funny, adventurer hero. Interesting mystery plot and very hot love scenes. But, Linda, why were the trees so young in the "bowl" with a hint that maybe the residents hadn't left that long ago? Maybe you're saving that for a sequel? I sure hope so.

Summary: One of Linda's Best!!!
Review: Archeologist Jillian Sherwood believed the lost Amazon city, once inhabited by women warriors and containing a rare red diamond, did exist and she was determined to find it. Hiring Ben Lewis, number one river guide in Brazil, was a necessity she was willing to put up with since Ben appeared to be nothing more than a ruffian with an ego to match. Their journey into the jungle is filled with danger, excitement and adventure.

If you enjoyed Midnight Rainbow, you will love this longer, more indepth version of a trip through the jungle. At no time during this story was I bored. And yes, Linda's sexy love scenes are present in this book. You won't be disappointed with this one. Enjoy!!
