Summary: INTRIGUING ROMANCE
Review: Chock full of sizzling romance, military heroes, and captivating suspense, Ms. Brockmann's latest is as good as they come. White house staffer Joan DaCosta is arranging for the President to visit a California naval base to honor the bravery of the SEALs of Team Sixteen, when they were on a clandestine mission in Afghanistan. Upon meeting SEAL Mike Muldoon, Joan is smitten with his good looks, even as she tries to dismiss her attraction to him because of their six-year age difference.

But Mike is as tenacious in his pursuit of Joan as he is in his military training, and she finds it difficult to resist his charm, especially when he aids Joan in her visit to her reclusive mentally ill brother. Joan tries to avoid interacting with Mike when he agrees to play escort to the President's lovely but over imbibing daughter Brooke. Joan and Mike are thrown together again, as she tries to implement damage control with regards to Brooke's drunken behavior. Could Mike and Joan's one night together ever result in a more lasting bicoastal relationship?

Not only is the romance scintillating, but subplots of terrorism and a relationship between an Arab American and a neglected Navy SEAL's wife add depth to this novel. Add in the flashbacks to the World War II love between Joan's grandparents, and you have a read that is as fast-paced as it is intriguing.

Summary: HOO-YAH? Try....HOO-YUCK!
Review: Worst book by far but you just keep stringing us along! Just do Sam's story and be done with it! I don't really like his character very well in this book...he sure lost points with many of us FAITHFUL readers! And this going back and doing an older story...wasn't this done in another book. Sorry, I love your humor and writing but hated this book! Signed....Honestly Not Satisfied!

Summary: exhilarating romantic suspense
Review: With several years of SEAL assignments under his belt including Afghanistan missions, Lieutenant (junior grade) Mike Muldoon is assigned the most career-threatening job of his naval life. Mike must escort White House staffer Joan DaCosta while she serves as liaison for a visit to the San Diego naval station by the president's fortyish daughter, Brook "Wild Child" Bryant. President Bryant will follow that in a reelection campaign photo-op visit to Coronado.

Mike and Joan are attracted to one another from almost the first moment they meet, but she acts aloof as she feels he is a kid next to her. As he breaks her barriers down one at a time and they begin to fall in love, the duo is thrust into a terrorist plot to assassinate the President unless Mike and his cohorts can save the day.

Highly regarded romantic thriller author Suzanne Brockmann provides her myriad of readers with a strong suspense tale that never slows down until the final confrontation occurs. The story line is fast-paced and loaded with action. The amiable, not so friendly, and often sexy (once Mike loosens up) dialogue between the lead couple is fun for romance readers who will enjoy the older woman (a few years) and the younger man coupling, but also slows down the terrorist subplot for the thrill seeker crowd. Still INTO THE NIGHT is an exhilarating romantic suspense that will thrill the sub-genre audience.

Summary: intense, satisying--Brockmann at her best
Review: At first I was put off by Brockmann paying so much attention to Mary Lou. Then to my surprise and emotional satisfaction I was won over. Sam smolders for Alyssa in the background. Mike Muldoon has his story told with What's her name. The only blemish is the down right cowardly female Suz created for Mike. She tried my resove not to to throw the book across the room before she had the courage to follow her heart and love Mike as he deserved. The ending was a susprise reminding me of "Who killed J. R." Brockmann fans will be pleased with "Into the Night". Bobbye

Summary: Awesome!
Review: The first book I've read of Suzanne Brockmann is "Out of Control" and I loved it. When I saw "Into the Night" I knew I had to read it. It took me 5 hours to read it. I didn't want to put it down! Wildcard Karmody's back. So is Jules Cassidy, Alyssa Locke, Max Bhagat, Sam and Mary Lou Starrett. Toward the end of the book, I was hoping that she'll write about Sam Starrett as well. Sure enough, come July 2003, a book will be out about the hunky SEAL! So excited. Can't wait.

Summary: Kept Me Turning the Pages
Review: A nice mix of military, mystery, and likeable characters. I liked and respected these folks and I wanted to know what happened to them. I rooted for the protagonists to find each other, to work out their problems, and to save the president.

I'm waiting for the next one to see how they are all doing.

Summary: Great!
Review: This is a good read! Some action and excitment and a pleasent romance. It could have moved a little faster in places. I like fast paced romances like Wilde, Lindsey and my newest favorite "Anything, My Love" by Cynthia Simmons. A sizzling page turner. Still, "Into the night" kept my attention and it is very well written.

Summary: Love in the new millennium
Review: Yes, less action than we're used to from this author, but what I really liked is how well she got inside their heads this time. It was more complex and interesting to get to know them and understand *why* they did (or didn't) do or feel something. Joan had concerns about dating a younger guy who lived across the country and it felt "real" as she fought her attraction to Mike. The Mary Lou story was heartrenching, and we continued to yearn for Sam and Alyssa to finally get together. I loved it! although I would love to see Max get his own woman...!! don't miss this one, it's great that stuff continues to evolve and doesn't wrap neatly by the end...stay tuned!!

Summary: Ok three and a half stars
Review: Thats how I felt after I finished Into the Night... Although I felt compassion for Mary Lou, can't say I LIKE her, but I hope she gets her HEA (happily ever after) I really liked Mike alot, but Joan didn't do it for me as a worthy match for Mike... This was the hardest one for me to get thru of the full series, but its still one you need to read to get a reminder of everyone, and stay in sync... I thought the book was slow paced, and I know Sam and Alyssa's book is going to be awesome, because well ITS SAM AND ALYSSA'S BOOK! Anyways overall I feel it wasn't anywhere near the intensity of the other books in the series, but it did have some good moments... Although I can't think of any that involved Joan... Kelly from Unsung hero and Molly from Out of Control are still my fav girls...
