Summary: amazing
Review: This is probably one of the most incredible books I have ever read. The details are spellbinding, the love story, and the tragedy. I can't describe how it affects a person with mere words, I would have to plaster my emotions all over the page! I probably sound like a blubbering idiot, but I think anyone else who has read the book can understand. It's beyond tragic, but still it's so inspiring. My copy is already in tatters. So go buy it and experience this unbeliveable book for yourself. You won't regret it.

If you don't believe me go look at the other, oh, what is it, 109 great reviews?

Summary: I laughed, I cried, I threw myself off the roof...
Review: Utterly Phantastic. A beautiful book, I read it 6 or 7 years ago and read it at least once a year ever since until it was stolen. A more poignant lovestory was never written, even the tragedy of Shakespeare pales in comparison. I found myself so angry with so many characters, how could his mother do that to him?, how could anybody treat him so horribly? I commend Susan Kay for such an emotional heart-wrenching masterpiece. I grew especially fond of Erik's relationship with Ayesha and of Charles at the end of the book. Ms. Kay also managed to renew my faith in Christine a miracle in itself, considering how she is portrayed in Leroux's classic. BRAVO! This is a must read for any Phantom fan and definitely a keeper, do NOT borrow this book, BUY it!!

Summary: A devastating experience
Review: This book is one of the few "jewels" one finds amongst modern literature. I first read it 8 years ago, and up till now i can't keep track of how many times i've re-read it!! I just lost count and didn't bother ever counting again! This book tells a heartrending tale that strips away all decoration...it simply displays before you the naked emotions of a very real man and his devastating love. Maybe we all have the preconception that sequels or books based on "original stories" are cxxp...but it would be a sin to stereotype this amazing tale. For those who love the Phantom and those who don't...let yourself experience the unbelievable emotion!!! For the first time, or again and again!!

Summary: PaSsIoN
Review: You want it? If you read this book you will feel all of the passion surge through your vains. I have made people who had no idea about Erik read this book and they loved it! I have read this book over 5 times and it gets better each and every time! It gives such a good portrayal of everything about Erik that ALW does not give. Also, the insite into Christine's head makes phans a little more patient with her stupidness! :) The fire of love that burns between Erik and Christine is one that should be known by everyone. Read this book and feel the passion.

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ!!
Review: Phantom really gives a feeling of Erik, the Phantom's life. It lets you see him as more of a person and understand why he does things. I recomend this book to anyone, not just Phantom fans. The story is moving and wonderful. It shows a facinating character from his own eyes and the eyes of others who have known him. I love this book and think others will as well.

Summary: A love story that twists your heart and makes you weep.
Review: I was mezmerized by Susan Kay's writing. The Phantom was suddenly a real person, struggling with all the fears that live within us, all the frustrations, all the hopes and dreams that never seem to come true. I wanted some magical miracle to happen---and at the end, it did and it's name was Charles, their son. I wept so hard I could barely read the ending, but would recommend it to anyone who is a romantic.

Summary: An incredible read
Review: This is an incredible book, that gives insite into the story behind The Phantom. A powerful story, that leaves the reader wishing for The Phantom to return. A must read.

Summary: A moving, haunting story!
Review: Susan Kay brings to life the original story of Erik, the Phantom of the Opera. The original novel was good, and I cried a lot, but it was so undetailed, being told as if from a policeman's view. Phantom brings you into Erik's mind, and leaves you weeping in the end. A great addition for Phantom of the Opera fans.

Summary: One of the best books I've *ever* read!!!
Review: WoW!!! That about says it all for Susan Kay's "Phantom". She *really* uses imagrey and excelent language to get feelings and emotions across to the reader. This book really draws the reader in, and won't let go until the last word has been read, and even then, you can't stop thinking about it!!! This book will leave you in tears! It's one that when I got to the last page wanted to cry just because I had to stop reading it! I wanted it to go on! But that doesn't meen it doesn't have a good ending. Kay really ties things up nicley I thought, and doesn't leave any loose ends. This is one book you should *not* pick up and begin to read before you go to bed ... I did once, and stayed up all night reading. I just couldn't put it down! If I could, I'd give this book a six-star rating, but it only allows up to five! =^_^=
