Rating: Summary: So well written! Review: I had a great pleasure to find, finally, a book so well written. Gripping too. A delight to read from the first page to the last!
Rating: Summary: Solid story - fun dialogue - Keeper material Review: I love stories where the plot keeps you going, the romance is definitly in the forefront of the novel, and the characters are smart and well thought out.Cherry Adair delivers all three. Marnie is a real woman - with real flaws. She's also smart and clever. And head over heels in lust - love?? - with a guy she's just met. So she decides to seduce him. Only... he's not responding quite the way she'd like. Jake is a romance hero - with romantic flaws. C'mon, let's face it - I don't know about you, but there haven't been too many "Spy Kings of the Universe" in my life :-). Barring that, he's a great hero. External scowl hiding his internal torment. Jake was betrayed by his first love, and all of his remainding friends are dead. He's not overly trusting, but Marnie has a way of getting thru even his well fortified defenses. This was a well written book. Lots of twists in the plot to keep you interested. Lots of humor to keep you lauging out loud. Lots of romance to keep you sighing with enjoyment. A definite keeper!
Rating: Summary: Kiss and Tell Review: Cherry Adair is the next Nora Roberts. From page one I was as consumed with Marnie and Jake as much as they were for each other, I didn't want their story to end. Jake is the perfect man, sexy, smart, brave, and gorgeous. Jake definitly met his match in Marnie and doesn't stand a chance. Ms. Adair has the perfect blend of romance, action, and storytelling!
Rating: Summary: Another annoying heroine Review: I've had to stop reading 4 romances in the past few weeks because the heroine annoyed me. Unfortunately, I've added this book to the reject pile, although I know so many people who've loved it. But I just couldn't get past her annoying chatter when they were in trouble. Reminded me too much of Sandra Bullock in 'Speed'. I love Sandra, but when was "Annie" going to get that maybe they were in big trouble and stop the bantering? I felt the same with this heroine, and so decided to spend my time elsewhere.
Rating: Summary: I wish I could give this more than 5 stars Review: This is the best book I have read in the past year. If you haven't read it yet, you are missing out!! I can't wait to read her other books. I hope she writes a book about one of Marnie's brothers so that we can see how Marnie and jake turn out.
Rating: Summary: suspense and sex Review: This was a great read. I will definately read her other book and look for more.
Rating: Summary: A GREAT READ! Review: This is one of the best romance books I've ever read, and I've read a lot of them! Her dialogue and humor and great plot make it a definite winner. You can't put the book down once you start, so try not to start it at 10 p.m. or you'll be up all nght. This book made me search for others she wrote as well, and they're good too! I can't wait for her next book to come out about Marnie's brothers. READ THIS BOOK!!
Rating: Summary: NEW FAVORITE AUTHOR Review: I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to Ms. Adair's next endeavor and have added her to my list of "must read" authors.
Rating: Summary: AN EXCITING ADVENTURE Review: This book makes me want to read more of Ms. Adair's work. I think that's high praise. Lots of excitement and sexual tension in this one. Sure there are some parts that are a little (!) unbelievable, but you'll go willingly into this story. Interesting and strong main characters with problems on both sides. Original. A keeper. Buy it!
Rating: Summary: Kiss and Tell, a hot and humorous read..... Review: This is the first book of Ms. Adair's that I have read and I am ready to start the next. I am always thrilled to find an author to put on my 'to read list'. What struck me first about this book was the humor. Marnie has just the right touch with Jake, a definite tough guy-loner. The book reads fast and is packed with just about anything a person might want--humor, action, strong characters, hot sex scenes and good dialogue. I hope Ms. Adair plans to write books on Marnie's brothers, they each sound interesting. There is an excerpt of her next work in the back and after reading it I can only hope it is out already, because I'm hooked.
